Hamas arrested investigative journalist Mohamed Othman last night.
Othman writes for Al Monitor and other publications, and he specializes in uncovering corruption.
Recently the Gaza Health Ministry banned him from entering any hospitals in Gaza after a report on "errors and irregularities" in Gaza health facilities.
Palestine Press Agency reports that Othman was working on a report that accuses Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh of stealing zakat (charity) funds. he is said to have found documentation of Haniyeh's office appropriating $25,000 of funds meant for charity.
Just another day in Gaza.
