Yesterday was the first day of an exhibit in Ramallah showing the results of an art initiative for children of Gaza to decorate their schools with murals.

The initiative was sponsored by the Palestinian Ministry of Education along with UNICEF.

While some of the artwork is appropriate for schools, and innocuous, other murals resulting from this project are inconsistent with the UN's supposed principles.

Many of them imply a Middle East with only Muslims:

When one sees the peace dove in this picture, one can understand what it means in this one as well - a Temple Mount without any Jews is the only "peaceful" possibility:

Even when the kids pretend to show their desire for peace among all peoples in the world, they pointedly ignore the one people who are indigenous to the region:

Most strikingly, UNICEF and the UNDP highlighted this mural showing the false "right" of Palestinian Arabs to "return" to end Israel as a Jewish state and reverse the "nakba" of Israel's establishment.

Westerners are largely clueless to the symbolism behind these "peaceful" murals. But Palestinians understand their meanings quite readily.

And the UN eagerly supports this bigotry and hate - because the kids throw in some doves.

The Gamal Abdel Nasser Secondary School for Boys east of Gaza City was destroyed during Operation Protective Edge.

UNICEF and the UNDP have contributed to rebuilding the school up to modern standards, to be the first "child-friendly" school in Gaza. It will have lots of open space, larger classrooms, and new labs.

The cornerstone ceremony was held this week.

Let's look at what this school teaches, since the UN has two separate agencies that support it so much.

Here is a video taken at the school in 2013 where students celebrated a depiction of an attack on an Israeli position, kidnapping a soldier and with a student finally destroying it with an RPG:

In 2014, the school hosted a speech by Ramez al-Halabi, a terrorist who had been in Israeli prison for eleven years for his involvement in planning two suicide bombing attacks, one in Kfar Darom (probably this one, that killed American Alisa Flatow and seven others) and the other in Netzarim (probably this bicycle bombing that killed 3).

Here are some paramilitary drills of students at the school in 2014:

Now it can be rebuilt to teach the next generation of terrorists,

Thanks to the UNDP and UNICEF.

The United Nations Development Programme has released its Arab Human Development Report 2016.

This paragraph is all the evidence you need that this agency is more interested in anti-Israel propaganda than truth.

The conflict in Palestine has even deeper roots than those in the other conflict-affected countries in the region. The Israeli occupation has been constant for more than six decades, and there are periodic outbreaks of large-scale violence, particularly in Gaza. The 1990s were relatively calm in Palestine in terms of widespread violence, but armed conflict escalated again during the 2000s with the second Intifada in 2000–2001, the ensuing Israeli intervention, the blockade of Gaza after Hamas gained control in 2007 and Israeli assaults on Gaza.
If the Israeli "occupation" is more than six decades old, that means that according to the UNDP, it started in 1948, not 1967.

And this isn't a typo. In another section, the UNDP says:
The Israeli occupation of Palestine is one of the longest lasting territorial occupations in modern history. It is also one of the most prolonged denials of self-determination to a people that has formulated its own nationhood against all odds. The freedom to live in dignity is palpably absent. Seven decades of occupation have exposed people in Palestine to deep insecurity, loss of  opportunities, desperation and profound political frustration.
Seven decades? Since before modern Israel was established!

This means that this UN agency is saying that all of Israel is occupied Palestinian territory, and Israel is illegitimate.

There are plenty of other lies you can see in just those two paragraphs (such as the idea that the second intfada was less than 2 years long.) And there's lots more, like a sidebar on that same page that says how awful things are for Gaza children, for example, if you are less than six years old, there is a "10 percent chance that you have stunted growth due to prolonged exposure to malnutrition." Yet elsewhere in the same report it shows that this is one of the best rates in the entire region, with many Arab countries suffering from 20%, 30% or (in the case of Yemen) 57% stunting!

The UNDP's hate for Israel destroys the credibility it has in trying to actually help human development. It shows that bias and hate is part and parcel of the entire UN system, as we have demonstrated before.

And no one in Europe or the US gives a damn.

Shady Shehada is a project engineer for UNRWA. (Yes, that's how he spells his name in English.)

Previously he worked for UNDP as well in the same role.

So he sounds like a typical Gazan who manages to get jobs at the UN and other NGOs.

His Facebook page has a couple of interesting posts that indicate that he could easily be one of the "aid workers" who would happily help Hamas.

He published this poster with a photo that is taken from a horror movie as "evidence" of Israeli crimes:

He commented, "All Hail the resistors who thrust each weapon in defense of the dignity of the people of defending themselves and the right to life."

And he published this photo of a heartbroken mother and fiancee mourning over their dead son and husband immediately before the Gaza war in 2014.

Who happened to be a Hamas terrorist.

Is it really surprising to learn that UN workers could be diverting funds and materials to Hamas?
