Today's antisemitism in Turkish media

Ankara-based news site Baskent Postasi has this as one of their top stories:

It starts off a being unsure whether Zionists of the US/UK are trying to control the world:

Right now, the 'WORLD' is under the threat of global Imperialism and Zionism!.. Imperialist/Zionist Powers are working with all their might to take over the world as a whole and to be able to rule it from the center. No matter how much we call Israel just a subcontractor, puppet and pawn, we still do not understand whether the US/UK governs Israel or whether Israel governs the US/UK!..

But in the end, inevitably, it is really the Jews.

The world's 15 million Jewish population has established a system to control a world population approaching 8 billion! In other words, 15 million Jews are standing up to 8 billion people! Or 15 million Jews are fighting 2 billion Muslims!

In other words, they can easily control all kinds of needs of humanity. At the same time, all cashless payment systems in the world (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay etc.) are in the hands of Zionist Jews. The owners, partners or managers of many world-famous companies such as Rupert Murdoch, Fox Tv and Fox Film, Sony Picture, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, HBO, TNT, Turner, Sports Illustrated, Time Warner, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Times, Economist, Foreign Policy, Bild are Jewish… Jewish pharmaceutical companies such as Teva/Israel, Pfizer, Novarts… Among the weapons/defense companies are IAI, Elbit Systems and Rafael Advance Defense Systems…

There are 5 major companies that direct the world's agriculture/food sector and set prices. Companies such as Cargill, ADM, Bunge, Louis Dreyfus and Haifa...

Except for the end, which differentiates Muslim antisemitism from the white supremacist flavor:

Turkish media is even more antisemitic than Arab media

I've been looking at Turkey's news media lately, and it often makes even the worst Arab antisemitism look tame.

You know how Arab newspapers say "Extremist Jews stormed Al Aqsa MOsque" when Jews visit the Temple Mount? Well, in Turkey today, the consistent headline was "Fanatic Jews raid Al Aqsa mosque."

Note the subhead refers to the Israeli flag as "Israeli rags."

One newspaper helpfully added, "It was emphasized that there was concern that fanatic Jews might raid the mosques in Al-Aqsa."

In other news, the Turkish conspiracy theory that there are still a significant number of secret Jews who were followers of Shabatai Zvi in the 17th century pretendingto be Muslims, and these "Sabbateans" are fighting in Israel's army when they are not pretending to be upstanding Turkish citizens:

For the Zionists, integration into Ottoman society was the mainstay of the struggle to establish a Jewish state. The Zionists’ inclinations towards assimilation were perceived as a strategic maneuver, while assimilation within the borders of another country was a humiliating situation for them. The underlying interest of the Zionists in the Ottoman Empire was to settle and dominate the Palestinian territories. Today, the Sabbateans continue to be in the elite segment of Turkish society and skim the cream of the crop as first-class citizens. Finally, I mentioned one newspaper column where the writer denied the Holocaust. Another columnist took that column as fact and added more details, claiming Sephardic Jews were the ones who sent Ashkenaz Jews to the concentration camps while the "pure-blood" Sephardim were then allowed to move to Israel.

The Arab world used to be this bad but they were shamed when organizations like MEMRI exposed the antisemitism so they started to preted to be only anti-Zionist" for the most part. It looks like Turkey never got the memo.

Turkey is inciting war against Israel - and Jews

Turkey's president Recep Erdogan declared today to be a national day of mourning in Turkey for the leader of a murderous, raping terrorist organization. memorial services for one of the architects of the October 7 pogrom were held in every one of Turkey's mosques.

Turkey is still a member of NATO.

Yesterday, Erdoğan told President Biden that Israel is working to "spread the fire in Gaza to the entire region. "

His threats and slanders are being reflected in Turkish media, where they now have carte blanche to spread the most absurd conspiracy theories and antisemitism. There is a combination of insane paranoia and Jew-hatred as Turkey is inciting the people to support a war against Israel.

In Telgraf, a columnist spins a truly crazy antisemitic conspiracy theory that the entire world is preparing war against Turkey:

It is only a matter of time before America and Western countries declare war on us as a result of the war spreading to Turkey. Turkey is the target of a great world game. Unfortunately, even the countries we consider Muslim and brotherly are in this game. If there is a war in Turkey, will they enslave us or will they commit genocide like they did in Palestine and Gaza? Turkey is a strong country but how long can it withstand traitors?
When we accept immigrants with pity, I wonder with what intention did they come and settle among us?
Our president gave the message that we can enter Israel in his statement.
Where are these countries we consider Muslim?
Is the world preparing for a new World War?
We know that Israel is America's puppet and pawn. We are content with just watching everything. The wealth of the Jews is shifting to China every moment, and after this process is over, China will be the new superpower of the world. When Jews do business, they will now hide behind China. There will be two superpowers in the world. There will be two superpowers, the Jews and the Muslims. The Jewish headquarters will be China. The Muslims' headquarters will be Turkey.

A lawyer writes about another deranged theory that Israel has territorial designs on Turkey. He says since the Torah says the Israelites would inherit the land of the Hittites, and the Hittite Empire reached today's Turkey, that southeastern Turkey are in the Jews' crosshairs. And Ismail Haniyeh was defending Turkey from Israel.

Another newspaper says "Treacherous Jews target women especially" in Gaza. They don't even pretend they mean "Zionists."

Here's how another site described Israel's attack on Fuad Shukr in Beirut and a US airstrike on terrorists in Iraq:

Christians and Jews are killing Muslims in the Middle East

Following the Jewish religious state of Israel's attack on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, the Evangelical radical religious state of the United States has now launched an airstrike on the headquarters of the Shiite militia force Hashd al-Shaabi in the Babil province of Iraq.

Yet another newspaper writer, Hüseyin Besli, said that the Holocaust was a myth, and the Jews are the worst people in history:

All the evidence presented for the existence of the Holocaust is a lie and a fabrication.

It is a lie that Jews were burned in ovens.

It is a lie that Jews were massacred with poisonous gas.

It is a lie that Jews were massacred and thrown into pits...

Apparently, we see from today's practices that all of these are things invented by the Jewish mind.

...In other words, throughout human history, there has never been another nation as brutal, liar, genocidal, and disruptive as the Jews; no one has committed cruelty and genocide equal to what they did.

In yet another example of incitement, this columnist repeats Israel's supposed goal of conquering parts of Turkey and curses the Jews.

We will never and never forget and will not let it be forgotten: Murderer and terrorist Israel, this savage nation of Jews; with the same justification, also claim rights on the lands of the Republic of Turkey and will do so.

This determination is not a fairy tale, paranoia or delusion.

Zionist Jews have distorted the holy texts and fabricated laws, and they claim that our country's lands were promised to them...

Israel and the Zionist Jews are cursed all over the world because of the terrible genocide they have committed, and will continue to be cursed until the end of time. One liberal politician, Cem Toker, went on TV and said that Haniyeh was a terrorist and deserved to die. The responses were withering as the media went after Toker.

And at least one of them gave him the biggest insult that is possible in Turkey today: They called him a Jew. And, for good measure, they asked and answered what patriotic Turks should do to those "Kemalist Jews amongst us.": "Gaza also serves as a litmus test by exposing these Jews. Explode thoroughly so that Muslim Anatolia does not hesitate to crush you!"

This is mass hysteria, directed by Turkey's leader, inciting violence against Jews and war against Israel. It is not a fringe phenomenon - on the contrary, the liberals who are against antisemitism are (at least in the media) the fringe.

Europe has not woken up to the problem in their midst. So far, there has been only silence in response to Erdogan's threats of war. They do not realize that the vitriol against "Christians" is almost as crazed as against Jews.

Belgian MP claims Israeli rabbis call for the rape of Palestinian women

Israel Hayom (Hebrew only as of this writing) reports that on Monday, a member of the Belgian parliament, Nadia El Youssef, said rabbis call for the rape of Palestinian women.

She made the accusation to the Israeli ambassador in Brussels, Idit Rosenzweig-Abo.

The ambassador was astonished, saying, "Rabbis call for the rape of Palestinian women? This is the first time I have heard such a thing, unless there is a problem with the translation."

El Youssef said " I think it is important that we have all the facts, so that we can be as objective as possible and we can think about what we can do from here."

It sounds a lot like other antisemitic accusations through the years, like Israeli rescue workers stealing organs, and then the antisemites say they are just calling for an "investigation" which would make people think that where there's smoke, there's fire.

There is really no lie too outrageous for today's antisemites to hurl. But cumulatively, they work, and cause people to hate Jews - which is the entire point.

Yom Kippur brings out the antisemitism in Arab media and officials

The Arabic language media has been obsessively reporting about Yom Kippur since before the holiday.

The most insane claim came from the Jerusalem Waqf. After claiming that Jews were dancing on the graves of Muslims at the ancient cemetery on the south side of the Temple Mount, it announced that there was no relationship between Yom Kippur and the Temple:

The Council stressed in its statement that it is not possible to accept such arbitrary measures under the pretext of Jewish holidays, which have no relation, even remotely, to the history, reality and message of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Merely linking these occasions to an authentic Islamic mosque represents for us in itself an assault and a blatant violation of its right as a mosque. Islamic, with all its squares, facilities, prayer halls, roads, entrances, and its entire area of 144 dunums.

The Yom Kippur ceremonies were the emotional and religious apex of the year at the Jewish Temples in Jerusalem on the very spot that the Dome of the rock was deliberately placed.

Of course, Jews visited the Temple Mount on Yom Kippur - as they do every weekday. But because it was Yom Kippur, Egypt's Foreign Ministry condemned them:

Egypt called on the Israeli authorities to fulfill their obligations and stop such escalatory practices because they represent a clear violation of the existing legal and historical status of the city of Jerusalem and its honorable sanctities,

What did the storming look like? Here it is:

Al Jazeera decided to highlight that some of the visiting Jews on Yom Kippur eve were barefoot. The PA's Jerusalem Governorate said, "Some settlers deliberately storm Al-Aqsa Mosque barefoot, because they see it as the alleged temple - according to their laws - and therefore it is not permissible to enter it with leather shoes , so they enter it barefoot or with slippers of other materials....This is one of the most prominent manifestations of consecrating the moral foundation of the alleged Temple."

Again, that happens every day. Religious Jews who visit the Mount don't wear leather shoes, same as on Yom Kippur.

It is deeply ironic that Muslims are complaining about Jews going barefoot on their holy site when they remove their own shoes for prayer.

The Secretary-General of the Jordanian Royal Commission for Jerusalem Affairs, Abdullah Kanaan, complained that Israel's closure of Jerusalem on Yom Kippur was an example of an "apartheid policy," and "this holiday is accompanied by religious rituals and strict measures that include preventing the movement of transportation, closing roads, and comprehensive restrictions on the Palestinians. Mercy, tolerance, respect for beliefs, and freedom of worship are deliberately absent from Jewish holidays, including Yom Kippur, which is accompanied by the occupation authorities and settlers adopting all forms and methods of racism and the policy of killing, captivity, detention, and protection of Israeli incursions and attacks carried out by settlers."

Temple denial, and denial of Jewish history, is no less antisemitic than Holocaust denial, which is something else Palestinians and other antisemitic Arabs excel at. And it happens every day.

Palestinians complain about "Talmudic rituals" even when they AREN'T on the Temple Mount

On Saturday, over a dozen Palestinian and Arab news sites reported a story about "Talmudic rituals in the vicinity of Al Aqsa Mosque."

Not "in Al Aqsa." Not "in the courtyards of Al Aqsa." No, their complaint is Jews singing somewhere in the Old City adjacent to one of the gates leading to the Temple Mount that Jews are not allowed to enter.

Jews don't visit the Temple Mount on Saturdays, but Palestinian and Arab media publishes stories about their "Talmudic rituals" and "provocative dances" every day even on days they do not ascend.

Which means that even if Jews were completely banned from their holiest spot, the Palestinians wouldn't be happy until the Jews are driven out of the wall of the Old City altogether.

Here's the video that is so upsetting to them. The Jews are singing "Shir Hamaalot" (Psalms 126) to the tune of "Hatikvah." Notice that the Arab shopkeeper right next to them nearby doesn't seem to be bothered at all.

Al Quds al Arabi can't even come up with original antisemitism - it has to plagiarize it

At the UK-based Al Quds al Arabi, Palestinian writer Ismail Juma Al-Rimawigoes on an antisemitic rant as he describes "The Curse of the Jewish Holidays:"

In this month of every year, the occupied city of Jerusalem and all of the occupied territories are experiencing their worst and most bitter stages, when thousands of extremist Jews desecrate the sanctity of the Holy City, and begin spreading their poison and unleashing their Talmudic and racist rituals that exceed the limits of humanity and religious freedom, which have disappeared from the dictionary of the “Hebrew State.” “.

During the Jewish holiday season, which falls in September of each year, the Holy City turns into a military barracks whose entrances and exits are controlled by the occupation forces, to besiege, harass, and oppress the Jerusalemites, under the pretext of securing the settlers’ celebrations, while the heavy hand of the settlers is unleashed to oppress, steal, orgy, and assault the residents under heavy protection from the occupation police.

It turns out that this article was plagiarized, word for word, from an article written in 2018 by Nader Al-Safadi at Noon Post.

This guy couldn't even come up with original antisemitism!

Today's Arab antisemitism, part 2: "Jews tried to distort the Quran"

A video has spread through many Arabic websites today concerning an interview with the daughter of the 20th century's most famous Quran reciter, Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary of Egypt.

Yasmin al-Hussary was interviewed on the Al-Nas satellite channel on Sunday and she described her memories of her father.

The elder al-Hussary was known for his accurate renditions of the Quran.

During the interview Yasmin claimed that in his travels, her father came across Qurans written and distorted by Jews. He therefore fought these distortions by reciting it correctly.

Why would Jews bother rewriting the Quran and distort it? One does not need to ask such questions. Obviously, because they are Jews and they want to destroy Islam.

It is important to note that every year, printed Qurans are discovered that have mistakes in them, and they are destroyed and the incidents widely reported in Muslim media. I guess it was only a matter of time before the Jews were blamed for Quranic errors.

Today's Arab antisemitism part 1: A crazed history of how Jews control America

Al-Khanadeq, a Lebanese pro-Iranian Shiite news site, describes how Jews control the United States. It was written by Nasib Shams, who has had bylines in other popular Arabic media.

There has always been talk about the Jews in the United States , their power and influence in decision-making, and there has also been talk about the power of the Israeli lobby. But how did the Jews get to the United States? What is their history in this country?

The Jews also tried to make New York a Jewish city, and thus the United States, a Jewish country. Three brand new fake Zionist quotes (update)

An article in Raia al-Youm by Palestinian writer Nawaf Al-Zaro goes over the usual Jew-hating tropes, saying, "The tendency toward violence and racist terrorism is a tendency rooted in the Zionist political ideology and the Jewish Bible. "

But he starts with three supposed quotes from prominent Zionists, all obviously fake:

Herzl: "We must form a great hunting expedition, gather all the animals together, and drop deadly bombs among them."

Jabotinsky: “The Torah and the sword were sent down to us from heaven, and Zionist colonization will be achieved despite the will of the indigenous people, and the iron wall policy is our comprehensive policy towards the Arabs.”

Begin stresses the importance of violence in shaping history and existence: "The power of progress in world history is not peace, but the sword. I fight as long as I exist."

I had never seen any of these quotes even on Arabic sites, so I looked for where they came from.

Not only are all of these quotes fake, but I cannot even find an earlier Arabic source for them.

Nawaf al-Zaro made all three of them up from whole cloth!

I've seen outrageous lies in Arab media before, but usually they are based on some tenuous thread to something that is true. This must be some sort of record for sheer chutzpah.

But al-Zaro is not a random guy. He is an award-winning journalist and author, having written many books. (At least he claims to have!)

And today, writing for the Al Natour Center for Studies and Research, he claim the Jews were behind 9/11. One of the "experts" he quotes is David Duke.

For Palestinian thinkers and writers, there is no contradiction between being a respected researcher and making up lies.

Palestinian media warn about dangers of upcoming Jewish holidays - including some you've never heard of

Palestine Today published this poster warning about all the upcoming Jewish holidays and how Jews use them as excuses to defile Al Aqsa Mosque.

And when they say "Al Aqsa Mosque," it is obvious that they are referring to the Kotel (Western Wall) as part of it.

From September 15-17, includes major raids with the participation of occupation leaders, during which the trumpet is blown.

Yom Kippur
From September 24 - 25, it includes massive raids into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, during which bird sacrifices are offered.

Throne Festival
From September 30 to October 5, massive raids take place, plant sacrifices are made, and a canopy of palm trees is set up.

Eid Simchat Torah
On October 7, the Torah scrolls are brought into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and circulated around them

Feast of Isru Hag
On October 8, its most prominent pillar was the dining table, which is a Talmudic ritual performed by settlers in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa.

The feast of Hosea, our Lord
On October 10, the settlers hold a Talmudic ritual in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa

The Feast of Prostration
is on November 13, during which Al-Aqsa is stormed and Talmudic prayers are performed

Hanukkah
From 8 to 12 December, Al-Aqsa is stormed in large numbers, and lit by candles with huge candlesticks

Interestingly, they do not mention the tens of thousands of Jews who have gone to the Kotel every day this Hebrew month to say Selichot prayers.

It is clear that to Palestinian Muslims, a Jew worshiping at the Kotel is just as offensive as one worshiping on the Temple Mount.

Arab antisemitism, 1956

It is always interesting to trace the history of Palestinian "anti-Zionism" from the beginnings of Zionism, when its antisemitism was explicit, to today, when it is hidden behind multiple layers of pretense of not having any problem with Jews at all.

So this from an article in June 1956, by syndicated columnist John B. Crane, before the Suez campaign, is instructive.

He interviewed Palestinian refugees in Lebanon:

ACTING as spokesman, 28-year- old camp leader Mahmoud Rashid, a former railway employee in Palestine, told us with an intensity often found among inmates of concentration and refugee camps: "

If things keep on as at present and war should break out, the Arabs will fight on the side of Russians.

"You Americans are not neutral, as your government claims, but you are pro-Israel and are giving more aid to tiny Israel than all Arab countries combined.

"Do you think it wise for America to lose the friendship of 70 million Arabs and 400,000,000 Moslems to secure the friendship of 10 million Jews scattered all over the world?"

Another Palestinian refugee at the same briefing session, a former commando leader in Israel- Arab war, declared:

"The fight against Israel is not just a fight of the Moslem Arabs against the Israeli. I am a Christian Arab and I say it is the of all Christians everywhere to drive the Jews from the Holy Land, for we must not forget that it the Jews who crucified Christ.".

At the end of the article, we read:

HERE ARE some popular beliefs among the Arabs and it is these beliefs which are likely to determine future Arab behavior, whether the beliefs have any basis in fact or not:

Israel Is out to build a modern Jewish empire stretching from Baghdad to Alexandria. This is the reason for their subsidizing thousands of Jews from all over the world to come to Israel when the country is already too small to support the Jews already there.

America is determined to see that Israel survives and prospers because the millions of Jews in America--(1) control the press, (2) control the radio, (3) control the movies, (4) control the government, and (5) control the United Nations.

Most Arabs believe the above they cite these convictions to explain why their side of the Arab- Israel conflict is not given more publicity in the American press and over the American radio and why America gives far more aid to Israel than to the Arab countries. The anti-Zionism of the Arabs is as intense as the earlier anti-semitism of the Nazis.

Over and over again: Mahmoud Abbas spouts Jew-hatred. He is pressured to apologize and does it again. And the world continues to respect him.

In April 2018, Palestinian Authority president and PLO chairman Mahmoud Abbas gave an antisemitic speech where he claimed that Ashkenazic Jews were not really Jews, that Jews throughout history including during the Holocaust were hated not because they were Jews but because of how they acted, that Jews were never persecuted in Arab lands and that Jews have no connection to the Land of Israel.

World leaders expressed outrage, and Abbas - under pressure - apologized.

In a statement released by his office, Abbas said he did not intend to cause offense in a speech to the Palestinian National Council on Monday, in which he claimed the Holocaust was driven not by anti-Semitism but by a reaction to the financial activities of European Jews.

In his speech, citing books written by what he described as Zionist Jewish authors, Abbas also re-aired a discredited theory that Ashkenazi Jews hail from Khazaria, an empire located in Eastern Europe, rather than the biblical Holy Land.

“If people were offended by my statement in front of the PNC, especially people of the Jewish faith, I apologize to them,” Abbas said in his statement. “I would like to assure everyone that it was not my intention to do so, and to reiterate my full respect for the Jewish faith, as well as other monotheistic faiths.”

“I would also like to reiterate our long-held condemnation of the Holocaust, as the most heinous crime in history, and express our sympathy with its victims,” Friday’s statement from Abbas said. “Likewise, we condemn anti-Semitism in all its forms."

A couple of weeks ago, Abbas repeated every single antisemitic point he made in 2018 - and added a few more.

Abbas: "The truth that we should clarify to the world is that European Jews are not Semites. They have nothing to do with Semitism.

"The story began in 900 CE, in the Khazar Kingdom on the Caspian Sea. It was a Tatar kingdom that converted to Judaism.

"[In the 11th century], this empire collapsed, and all its population left to the north and to the west. They left for Russia and Western and Eastern Europe. They spread there, and they are the forefathers of Ashkenazi Jews. So when we hear them talk about Semitism and antisemitism – the Ashkenazi Jews, at least, are not Semites.

"They say that Hitler killed the Jews for being Jews, and that Europe hated the Jews because they were Jews.

"Not true. It was clearly explained that [the Europeans] fought [the Jews] because of their social role, and not their religion. Several authors wrote about this. Even Karl Marx said this was not true. He said that the enmity was not directed at Judaism as a religion, but to Judaism for is social role.

"The [Europeans] fought against these people because of their role in society, which had to do with usury, money, and so on and so forth. Even Hitler...

"Everybody knows that during World War I, Hitler was a sergeant. He said he fought the Jews because they were dealing with usury and money. In his view, they were engaged in sabotage, and this is why he hated them. We just want to make this point clear. This was not about Semitism and antisemitism.

"As for the eastern Jews, they are Semites, because all of them originated in the Arabian Peninsula and they traveled to Al-Andalus, and then came back. We are familiar with this history.

"The Balfour Declaration saw the light of day only because of the complete agreement between Balfour and U.S. President Wilson. They were in full agreement about this phrasing. So America was a partner to the Balfour Declaration. Who invented that [Jewish] state? It was Britain and America — not just Britain.

"The U.S., who was not even a member of the League of Nations, force the League of Nations to include the Balfour Declaration in its covenant. I am saying this so that we know who we should accuse of being our enemy, who has harmed us and took our homeland away, and gave it to the Israelis or the Jews.

"In 1948, the population of Israel numbered 650,000 people. In 1948-1949, they occupied 78% of Palestine. 650,000 people were not enough, so Ben-Gurion complained to the British, to his friend Churchill. He said: 'Man, I have a problem. Get me the Jews from Europe. I am short [of people]. I have this vast land, but no population.'

"[Churchill] said: 'I cannot get you the European Jews. After the World War, they emigrated to different places, or settled [in Europe], or were killed. The only ones I can get you are the Jews of the Arab countries.' But Churchill said that there was no one else. Ben-Gurion said: 'God forbid! Do me a favor, I don't want the Jews of the Arab countries.'

"[Ben-Gurion] said: 'Brother, those Jews of the Arab countries are just like the Arabs. They look like Arabs. They have the same culture, same food. I don't want them.' But [Churchill] said: 'Do whatever you want. There is no other solution.'

"Not only did Ben-Gurion agree, he sent his people to Iraq, to kill, destroy, and plant explosives in synagogues, in order to force the Iraqi Jews to emigrate. This also happened in Egypt in 1956 – the Lavon Affair – and then in Morocco, and other countries. The Jews did not want to emigrate, but they were forced to do so, by means of pressure, coercion, and murder."

Abbas repeated the exact same lies he said in 2018 - that he "apologized" for.

And after his apology, everyone forgot about his antisemitism.

Just as the media has forgotten that in 2016, Abbas claimed that rabbis called to poison Palestinian water.. His office released a statement saying "President Mahmoud Abbas has affirmed that he didn’t intend to do harm to Judaism or to offend Jewish people around the world."

Of course, he didn't apologize for lots of other antisemitic statements. In January 2018 Abbas said that European Jews stayed in Europe to be slaughtered rather than immigrate to Israel. In 2015, Abbas said Jews "have no right to defile [the Temple Mount] with their filthy feet." In 2022, Abbas told German officials that Palestinians have gone through 50 "holocausts" at the hands of Jews.

Do you sense a pattern?

No, I don't mean the pattern of Abbas saying vile statements that prove that he is an antisemite. I mean the pattern of the media and world leaders feigning outrage every single time one of his Jew-hating statements makes it into the headlines - and then they go back to acting as if Abbas is a respected member of the world community.

Which means that world leaders, the media and human rights NGOs care as much about antisemitism as Mahmoud Abbas himself does, and their lip service of condemning his statements are exactly as sincere as Abbas' "apologies" are.

An ironic fatwa: Muslims can curse Jews but not "Israel"

Recently, a new website has been indexed on Google News, called Sinai Arabia.

It is not a very professional site and it really doesn't cover news, rather items of interest to the Arab Muslim reader.

I cannot tell what country it comes from. My best guess is Egypt.

A lot of its stories are about Jews, many of them antisemitic but written in a matter of fact way rather than with rancor. So it will discuss things like how the final battle between Muslims and Jews will happen, or how the Rothschild family controls 80% of the world's wealth.

Today, it describes Islamic law on cursing of Jews and Israel. And according to this article, it is perfectly allowed for a Muslim to curse Jews, but not to curse Israel!

Cursing Jews (or Christians) is allowed since they are unbelievers. Allah cursed the Jews in the Quran because of their disobedience to Allah and their supposed attacks on and hatred of prophets.

But Israel may not be cursed - because it was the name of Jacob, who is a revered prophet, and one may not curse the name of a prophet even if it is also the name of a hated Jewish state!

If this article is accurate, then from the perspective of cursing, the Muslim attitude is that it really is antisemitism, not "anti-Zionism." And by any religious yardstick, hating Jews is the reason for hating Israel - not the other way around.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the Houthi slogan says "Curse the Jews" but only "Death to Israel."

No, 9/11 wasn't because of US support for Israel

The increasingly deranged Zachary Foster, formerly a decent researcher, now blames 9/11 on...US support for Israel:

The US-Israel alliance was according to Al-Qaeda one of the reasons for 9/11. The US’s unconditional support for Israel is a massive security risk and endangers Americans.

The US’s support for Israeli apartheid & ethnic cleansing is risking American lives.

First of all, this is an unbelievably stupid take. If you follow his logic, that means that US policy should adhere to whatever Islamic terrorists demand, because if they kill any Americans, it is America's fault for not doing what they say.

With that mindset, the US should insist that all American women wear the hijab and the US censor most TV shows, because Islamists have railed against the US exporting pornography and immorality to the world.

Secondly, even Bin Laden didn't prioritize the issue of Israel in his 1998 and 1996 fatwas.

His 1998 fatwa gives three grievances against the US: US troops in Saudi Arabia, the US war in Iraq, and US support for Israel was #3 - and his "proof" is that the US was destroying Iraq in order to help Israel, somehow.

In other words, Israel was just tacked on as an afterthought in his fatwa to appeal to Islamist antisemitism. We know that because his 1996 fatwa, which was much longer, mentioned the "Zionist-Crusader Alliance" a few times but had very little to actually say about Israel's supposed crimes considering its length. The target was America: "If there are more than one duty to be carried out, then the most important one should receive priority. Clearly after Belief (Imaan) there is no more important duty than pushing the American enemy out of the holy land [Saudi Arabia]." Bin Laden was complaining about attacks on Muslims by Israel but also "massacres in Tajakestan, Burma, Cashmere, Assam, Philippine, Fatani, Ogadin, Somalia, Erithria, Chechnia and in Bosnia-Herzegovina."

After 9/11, Bin Laden again gave a bunch of reasons for 9/11 - and suddenly Israel was on the top of the list. OBL thought that he could attract more Muslims to join him with more antisemitism - anyone who actually believes his reasons for attacking the US in this missive really don't understand anything about Islamist terrorism. and Bin Laden added that the Jews were planning to destroy Al Aqsa. But he also complained about Bosnia, supposed US support for Russians in Chechnya and India in Kashmir, pro-US Arab governments, "stealing wealth," US "occupation" of Arab countries, and US "starvation" of 1.5 million Iraqi children due to sanctions. (Child mortality in Iraq in fact did not rise at all during the time of US sanctions, but some people apparently believe Bin Laden's letter as an accurate source of information.)

The Bin Laden letter was a recruitment letter for Muslims, not a real explanation of why he attacked the US.

Obviously, Bin Laden and Al Qaeda altogether have had an antisemitic philosophy. But no one can read the Bin Laden fatwas and think that he was obsessed with Israel - he was obsessed with the US. He would have attacked the US if Israel didn't exist.

At the same time, no one can read Zachary Foster's tweets and think he is anything but obsessed with Israel.

Not surprisingly, his claims have been getting lots of responses from 9/11 "truthers" - apparently they are now the audience he is attracting.

I try to spend my time only refuting intelligent arguments against Israel and pointing out their hidden bias and falsehoods, like the arguments given by the UN, or Amnesty or other NGOs. Their hate for Israel is masked behind sophisticated propaganda that takes effort to tease out and expose. However, this might be the last time I waste any time on Foster since his anti-Israel arguments have now descended into farce.

Insane antisemitism in Jordan's parliament

It isn't only in newspapers that one can see naked Jew-hatred in Jordan.

It is in their parliament, too.

MEMRI, for example, translated some of the more antisemitic statements spoken in Jordan's parliament in 2021:

Suleiman Abu Yahya:"The Jews, Allah's curses upon them, are described in the Quran as the slayers of the prophets....The Jews are cowards. The diapers that the Israeli soldiers wear attest to that. May Allah curse them and their diapers."

Safaa Momani: "We must annul all the accords and agreements, because the Jews are the slayers of the prophets, who have betrayed all the pacts and contracts. From the beginning of time, they had no respect for treaties. They violated their pact with the Prophet Muhammad, so why do we expect them to abide by their promises? All our agreements with them should be annulled."

Salamah Al-Bluwi: "What happened and is happening in occupied Palestine constitutes a war crime by the criminal Zionists, the sons of apes and pigs, Allah's curses and curses by the Prophet Muhammad upon them. ..Our conflict with the Jews is of a historical, religious nature. The Jews do not abide by any agreement, contract, or pact."

In Jordan's parliament on Wednesday, former MP Saleh Abdul Karim Al-Armouti continued this tradition.

He directed a series of questions to Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh about "Jewish and Zionist tourism" in Jordan.

All the questions pre-suppose Jewish plots against Jordan being implemented by tourists and others.

Here are his questions:

1. How many Jews have come to Jordan during the past three years, what are the reasons for the visit and what are the areas they visited?

2. Is it true that there are groups of Zionists who come to Jordan with foreign nationalities, as well as Israelis, who begin long rounds of hiking in the southern regions of Aqaba, passing through Ma’an, Tafilah, Karak, and Madaba, cities, deserts, and valleys? What do these groups do during their trips? Does the government monitor these groups and their movements, and stand up to the goals and objectives behind them?

3. Is it true that there are Jewish plots that were transferred from Iraq to Jordan and from Jordan to the Zionist entity in occupied Palestine, and who are the middlemen who conducted these operations if they took place in the past years, and through what channels, and what are the connections between this issue and the Zionist entity’s embassy in Amman?

4. Are there antiquity traders in Jordan who search and buy what is called “ancient Jewish gold”, is there “ancient Jewish gold” in Jordan at all or is the Zionist entity burying ancient Hebrew antiquities in Jordanian land for dishonorable and illegal goals and purposes?

5. Does the enemy’s embassy in Amman smuggle antiquities, and what are the means it uses to smuggle these antiquities, if any, and does the government check, monitor, and monitor the mail issued by the embassy that travels across the border, and are the embassy cars that travel across the border merely cars carrying passengers or are they doing illegal acts?

6. Does the government know that there is a Jordanian photography association that has prepared a competition celebrating the city of Madaba called Mosaic Land? Does the government know that the Jordanian photography association has made the Jewish Nakhshtan erected on Mount Nebo an emblem of the Jordanian city of Madaba?

7.- Does the government know that Nakhshtan is a Hebrew word taken from "Nakhash" which means snake in Hebrew?

8. Does the government know what prompted the group of Franciscans who control Mount Nebo to construct that huge, ugly Jewish Nakhshtan monument?

9. Does the government know that the first act of the Franciscans was to change the Arabic name of Mount Naba to the Hebrew name “Nebo” and does the government know that planting that Jewish symbol Nakhshtan, especially on the top of Mount Naba’a/Nebo overlooking occupied Jerusalem, is a challenge to the feelings of people and Jordanians?

10. Who is the body now that takes care of the religious affairs of the monastery in that mountain? Is it a national body from the people of the country, or are they strangers from outside the country?

11. Does the government have the intention to cancel this Jewish-Zionist symbol that provokes the feelings of Muslims and Christians and transgresses all higher values and morals, and which is also sed as a symbol for one of our cities that we are proud of?

The last few questions appear to be referring to the "Brazen Serpent" sculpture on the summit of Mount Nebo, which is meant to symbolize the copper snake on a pole that Moses crafted and the Israelites who suffered snakebites would look at it and live, together with a Christian cross. The Franciscans own the site of an ancient Byzantine church on the mountain.

This is the kind of Jew-hatred that one sees literally every day in Jordanian media. Wore than Iraq, worse than Algeria, worse than Lebanon, worse than Egypt, worse than Syria.
