ISGAP, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, held its conference this week in Cambridge, England. The theme of the conference is "Global Antisemitism, ‎A Crisis of Modernity Revisited."

I gave a short talk (virtually) on the topic of "A modest proposal for a new definition of antisemitism" based on the definition I came up with last year.

Here it is.

I didn't capture the Q&A, hopefully ISGAP will make those available soon.

I have obviously spent a lot of time on the Shireen Abu Akleh story over the past couple of weeks, and I put together everything we know into this video.

The IDF could not have killed her, for reasons I describe.

It ended up taking 33 minutes but I think that it explains everything as well as possible, without getting too caught in the weeds. There are plenty of problems with the AP and CNN reports but this covers the basic issue - the distance from the gun to Shireen and who could have physically been that exact distance.  (I could have added ten minutes on the idiocy of the CNN quoted "expert" who happens to hate Israel.)

I hope it helps people understand the issues.

If you want only the Powerpoint slides, I placed them here (with embedded video). Requires a Microsoft account.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: More evidence here. The two people closest to Shireen said that snipers shot at them from buildings across from them. There were no IDF troops in those buildings - but there were Palestinian terrorists.

UPDATE 2: I am told that the Duvedian unit in Jenin uses the M4 Commando 5.56mm 11.5 30+1. The muzzle speed is somewhat lower than the longer M4 or M16. My estimate is that the distance based on the audio analysis would be longer than I said in the video, about 196 meters, still lower than the 215 meters distance the IDF was known to have been. Last week I noted that Palestinians were breaking rocks on the Temple Mount in preparation for throwing them at Israeli police and Jews. I noted that there are some artifacts on the Temple Mount, sitting out in the sun, that look like they were part of ancient structures, and wondering whether Palestinians use those.

Now we know - they do.

Palestinians took large rocks from the east side of the Temple Mount to build obstacles where Jews circumnavigate the site, and Eli Kohn published a video showing what it looked like Tuesday morning.

I saw this in the video:

This is from a column of an old, perhaps ancient, building.

Where is UNESCO? Where are the people who claim Israel targets "Palestinian archaeology"? Here we see direct evidence of Palestinians destroying cultural objects - and no one gives a damn.

So I ranted on video about that as well as a MEMRI video where a top aide of Mahmoud Abbas contradicts himself, lies about Jews, lies about history, and - again - no one cares.

Here's my rant on EoZTV:

From Times of Israel:

In the Negev, a few dozen right-wing activists, reportedly residents of the south and students at yeshivas in the area, set up a new outpost overnight Tuesday on state land close to the Bedouin city of Rahat.

Two prefab structures were brought to the location, which the activists declared as a “new community” named Ma’ale Paula in memory of the wife of Israel’s first prime minister, David Ben Gurion. Ben Gurion had advocated for Jewish communities to be established in the Negev during the early years of the state.

Activists said that Ma’ale Paula was set up because of “the conduct of the government and the abandonment of the Negev to a Bedouin takeover,” a reference to illegal Arab construction in the region.

Two people were arrested, the Kan public broadcaster reported.

A complaint against the outpost was filed by the Israel Land Authority, the Israel Police said in a statement.
The outpost was demolished.

But:
The right-wing, pro-settlement Regavim group said in a statement that some 3,500 illegal buildings are constructed each year by the Bedouin community.

“Worse than the lack of law enforcement is the selective enforcement,” the group said, according to Kan.

In 2013, I went on a tour of the Negev with Regavim. The group is not a bunch of anti-Arab, right-wing fanatics as they are often portrayed in the media. They want to find a humane and legal solution to the problem of the Bedouin in the Negev, and they admit that the Israeli government has not treated the Arabs fairly over the decades. But still, the Bedouin build thousands of illegal structures and villages in the Negev every year, and besides my own video, I have not seen any English language news reports that describe the issue accurately at all.

This is not the most professional video I've ever done, but it is still the best description of the complexities of the intersecting problems of Bedouin ignoring the laws of the state that they are citizens in, Israel trying to find solutions - including giving them land for free, the criminal acts of destroying infrastructure meant for Arabs, and even polygamy. The sheer amount of illegal building in the Negev is mind-boggling and the news media rarely reports it.

Today, the problems is much worse than it was when this was made nine years ago.

You will not regret spending.the 12 minutes to watch this video.

Recent reports of antisemitism have been upsetting me, so I decided to go on a rant about antisemitism today.

From The Guardian:

Israeli forces executed a 26-year-old Palestinian at a checkpoint in the occupied West Bank last year, a report has alleged, challenging Israeli police claims that the man was a “terrorist” conducting an attack.

Forensic Architecture, a British research body based at Goldsmiths, University of London, said it had conducted an analysis into the death of Ahmad Erekat, who was shot seconds after his car crashed into a booth and lightly wounded an Israeli border guard.

The incident last June was described on the day by Israeli police as a “vehicle attack”, saying that its forces had “quickly neutralize [sic] the threat from the terrorist”.

In the past few years, Palestinian attackers have used car-rammings against Israeli security forces and civilians.

However, Forensic Architecture said its investigation, which reconstructed the scene using available film, including security footage published by police, cast “significant doubt” on claims Erekat was involved in an attack, and suggested the crash may have been an accident.

It takes a video to fisk a video, and I made one to demolish the major two claims: that Ahmad Erekat was innocent and that the Israeli border police "executed" him for no reason.

Both of those are not only lies, but easily proven lies. Forensics Architecture, an anti-Israel group that pretends to be objective and scientific, uses "computer models" and hand waving to obfuscate the simple truth that is obvious from the 11 second video of the attack: that Erekat accelerated, on purpose, into an Israeli checkpoint and then jumped out of the car one second later, something that innocent accident victims never do.

We discussed black antisemitism, Bari Weiss, why the New York Times allows its editorial page to be so far Left,  and Peter Beinart.

This was right before Viacom/CBS announced they will fire Nick Cannon. I expressed frustration that the mainstream media had not yet covered the Cannon story that I was pushing so hard since Sunday; Dovid assured me that nowadays bloggers are often the ones who are the real news sources and the MSM will inevitably follow. He was proven right within an hour after the show aired - clearly Viacom/CBS didn't wait for any newspapers or wire services to carry the story before deciding to fire him.  (As of this writing, British newspapers, entertainment media and Time magazine have the story.)

I had the privilege of interviewing well-known Israel advocate Hen Mazzig today on EoZTV. We spoke about the Peter Beinart kerfuffle, Black Lives Matter and Israel, intersectionality, the terror attack Hen witnessed as a child, his experiences in the Israeli army for COGAT in Hebron, "annexation," his optimism about the future for Israel in the Middle East and and the importance of Jewish pride in Israel.

A lot of stuff for 35 minutes! Check it out!

This was my 27th EoZTV interview since I started these in April. Check out the ones you missed!

Students Supporting Israel is an impressive grassroots campus pro-Israel organization that has grown a great deal, with a philosophy I can get behind.

Last night I interviewed its co-founder and president where we discussed that things are like for Zionist students and how SSI helps them.

pom3This was a really fun interview.

Steven L. Pomerantz is the Director of the Homeland Security Program at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA) and a former #3 at the FBI. He created one of the popular police exchange programs between the US and Israel (there are three of them).

We spoke of course about the lies of Jewish Voice for Peace about those programs and what those programs actually teach. Besides that, we also spoke about US law enforcement in general, police morale when people talk about defunding police, what kinds of positive changes could be made to US police departments, how cutting their budgets could affect Jews, and a little about the FBI’s cooperation with Israel.

Definitely worth a listen!

My latest EoZTV interview is with Jonathan Neumann, author of To Heal the World?: How the Jewish Left Corrupts Judaism and Endangers Israel.

I read it a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. Neumann here gives a good overview of how “Tikkun Olam” became considered  a major Jewish precept, when it is nothing of the sort, and in fact is simply another term for “social justice.”

I just finished an EoZTV interview with Gerald Steinberg, founder of NGO Monitor.

We spoke about their work in exposing to European funders of anti-Israel NGOs the terrorist connections of many of their major members, and went into some specifics about anti-Israel NGOs like Human Rights Watch, Defense for Children International-Palestine, Miftah, Al Haq, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, Gisha and others – many of which I have discussed in detail on this site.

Although we had technical problems – no video and the audio is a bit hard to hear – it is very worthwhile to listen to J.E. Dyer’s take on the current unrest, the potential role of the National Guard or US Army, Israel’s riot control expertise, the military/strategic importance of the Golan and the Jordan Valley, the cyberhack of Iran’s major port and its implications for future cyberwar, and what she thinks of both Biden and Trump as commanders in chief.

David Collier is the amazing researcher who has written book-length exposes of antisemitism in the British Labour party as well as at Amnesty International.

I spoke to him on Sunday about his work and his opinions. We discussed the current unrest in the US, the white supremacy and racism in the Left, and how his opponents try to pain him as a racist.

It was a good interview. Check it out!
