I’ve often asked myself this question. It may not be so black and white. Is UNICEF really ignoring Palestinian child abuse or is there something deeper worth looking into? UNICEF is one of the better umbrella organizations of the UN, and I do applaud their work in helping children world-wide in lesser developed, war-torn nations.

As I was researching for this article, I noticed on UNICEF’s social media pages there isn’t one tweet or Facebook post showing outrage for the rampant abuse children in the Palestinian Authority and Gaza experience on a daily basis: Hamas paramilitary camps that start at a young age, children used as human shields and put in very dangerous areas where rocket launchers and guns are going off, storage of weapons in schools in Gaza, beatings and emotional abuse by elders such as parents, uncles and and the education system that teaches them to hate Jews from day one. Then there are parents who encourage children (such as the Tamimi family) to be used as weapons to harass soldiers, and finally, the current wave of stabbings by a generation taught by all of the above. The youngest terrorist being eleven years old.

In my research for this article I noticed that Middle East Monitor posed an article claiming that UNICEF stated: “Israel deliberately murdered 264 Palestinian children.” That headline is the furthest thing from the truth. Monica Awad, Communications Expert for UNRWA, vehemently denied accusing Israel of murdering children. In my interview with Monica, I found her to be extremely dedicated to her job. She expressed that at the time of her interview with Al Jazeera quoted by Middle East Monitor that five minutes after the interview the female writer changed the entire narrative She was clearly upset over the libel written about her.

So what is really happening and why? Is the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Fatah and the PLO censoring every effort UNICEF’s Jerusalem bureau is doing to help these children? Is UNICEF afraid to speak out against them for fear of retribution?

On the UNICEF Jerusalem website, statistics of Israeli and Palestinian children killed in war are listed. Poverty in Gaza is duly noted. Here is where it gets interesting. Going back to 2012, Jerusalem Post journalist Khaled Abu Toameh wrote an article that Palestinians were going to boycott UNICEF for taking bids from Israeli contractors for construction in Gaza. At that time, Catherine Weibel of UNICEF explained, “the plan was to use Palestinian contractors for goods and services needed in those areas, and if those contractors could not provide necessary needs, Israel was the next option.”
If Israel was only considered as a second option in 2012, why the outrageous threat of a boycott? It feels very sinister that Palestinians in certain positions will do anything including harassing and intimidating women in UNICEF willing to work with Israel to help those less fortunate. Perhaps anyone who gets too close to helping these children not be used disposable collateral will suffer a devastating consequence. It sounds like Gaza is the Saudi Arabia for children. Use them as chattel, bring them out as victims, and use them as launching pads when their desire for Jewish deaths reaches the boiling point.

I wish UNICEF safety and security during this current intifada.

I'm still trying to get hold of UNICEF officials to see what light they can shed on their operations.

UNICEF issued a press release:
NEW YORK, 31 July 2015 - “The death of an 18-month old Palestinian baby in an arson attack on his home in the West Bank is a tragedy -- and an outrage. UNICEF condemns this and all violence against the innocent. Who could be more innocent than an 18-month old baby? This demands that the guilty be brought to justice. And it demands that everyone refrain from such senseless, horrific violence.”
UNICEF is one of the better UN agencies. it is not obsessed with Israel and it genuinely tried to help children worldwide.

And there is nothing wrong with condemning this incident. Israel's government and entire political spectrum condemned the horrific act.

But there is still a problem.

UNICEF never condemned the murder of Yehuda Shoham, a five month old American-Israeli murdered by a Palestinian Arab throwing a stone through that smashed through a car windshield and crushed his skull.

UNICEF never condemned the murder of Shalhevet Pass, a ten-month old girl who was murdered by a sniper who aimed at her as she was sitting in her stroller.

UNICEF never condemned the murder of Hadas Fogel, a three month old who was decapitated by depraved Palestinian Arabs who also murdered her 11-year old and 4-year old brothers and their parents.

As horrific as the incident last week was, there is no evidence that the arsonist intended to kill. But in these cases, and countless others, Israeli infants were murdered in cold blood.

I can only find one time that UNICEF condemned the murder of specific Israeli children, and that was only to provide balance for their condemnation of the murder of a Palestinian child:

The justified outrage at the killing of a Palestinian teenager in Jerusalem today, and that seen at the funerals yesterday of three young Israelis murdered in the West Bank, are a reminder that we must never become accustomed to such attacks against children, anywhere, in any way, and at any time.
If the Arab teen hadn't been murdered, UNICEF would not have mentioned the three Israeli teens at all.

UNICEF's double standards, showing how their condemnations of Palestinian Arab terror are only made in context of what they consider far worse Israeli crimes,  could also be seen in this press release from 2002:

Suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians are morally repugnant and we condemn them. However, self-defense against such acts does not free Israel of its obligations under international humanitarian law or justify derogation from internationally recognised human rights. We strongly condemn the disproportionate use of force against civilian populations.
The Israeli response to suicide bombings is worse than suicide bombings themselves, according to UNICEF.

You can see that UNICEF crafts their statements to avoid any charges of bias, but as we have seen many times before, bias can be proven not only by what people and organizations say but by what they don't say. In no moral universe is the death of Ali Saad Dawabsheh - as contemptible as it is - more heinous that the deliberate, depraved murders of Shalhevet Pass or the Fogel family.

The pattern here cannot be ignored. UNICEF, and organization dedicated to protecting children, considers Jewish children's lives cheaper than those of Arab children.

This shows that anti-Israel bias is pervasive even among groups that truly do important work. Being humanitarian does not inoculate you against bias.

Alan Baker: Trivializing and paying lip service to antisemitism
The annual Holocaust remembrance events, whether in the UN or in individual countries, held on and around the official, international day of remembrance on January 27, have now passed, until next year.

The hollow and disingenuous lip-service payed by international leaders to the greatest tragedy that has befallen the Jewish people, has passed.

The annual “day in the sun” of professors, Holocaust researchers and experts, whether in research centers in Israeli universities or elsewhere, is over until next year.

Life must go on.

The international community can now get back to its routine and regular agenda of political correctness. It can get back to ignoring and sidestepping the most tragic violations of human rights in the centers of conflict in Syria, Africa and elsewhere.

The UN and the EU and their organs can return to adopting meaningless and futile political resolutions, generated by political groupings with specific political agendas that achieve nothing other than to fan the embers of hatred and antisemitism.

The world can now get back to pandering to autocratic regimes, to ayatollahs and to artificial leaders, purveyors of incitement and hatred that seek, through their actions and words, to sow the seeds of the next Holocaust.
Dr. Gerald M. Steinberg: Palestinian Children Are The Child Soldiers No One Is Talking About
[The views and opinions expressed in this article are the author's own and do not necessarily reflect those of the Forward.]
Even more disturbing is the role of UNICEF — which was created to help children around the world. In 2013, UNICEF’s “copy and paste” version of the unverifiable and false claims made by NGOs like DCIP (based on “affidavits” that officials cannot understand or verify) gave them a UN seal of approval and significant legitimacy. In 2015, after Israeli officials demonstrated the systematic errors, and the degree to which their treatment of minors involved in illegal activities is consistent with international standards, the UNICEF office in Jerusalem acknowledged the falsehoods in discussions with Israeli officials. But in public, where the propaganda wars are waged, the UN organization and its NGO allies continue to quote the original.

Joining DCIP and UNICEF in this cynical campaign are the American Friends Service Committee, Amnesty International, the so-called Jewish Voice for Peace, and the “Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel” (EAPPI) — which brings activists for three months to “witness” the suffering of Palestinian children and is run by the notoriously anti-Israel World Council of Churches.

In addition to adding its prestige to political warfare that exploits children, and laundering the false allegations targeting Israel, UNICEF funds a number of the organizations in this unholy alliance, including DCI-P and EAPPI. Together, their goal is the get the UN Secretary General to add the IDF to the notorious group of warlords and failed states listed under the Children and Armed Conflict resolution, which includes ISIS and Boko Haram. Although UNICEF officials claim to be uninvolved in this effort, they are the ones who select the NGOs in their “working group” and in provide funding to DCI-P and EAPPI.

As a result of these factors, UNICEF’s reports on Israel are far more bellicose in comparison to other Middle Eastern countries. The allegations of “widespread and systematic abuse” echo the definition of crimes against humanity in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. UNICEF does not employ similar language in other conflict situations, sharpening the conclusion that the organization singles out Israel for political, rather than substantive reasons.

Countering the cynical “child mistreatment” propaganda requires highlighting the foundation of lies, and the naming and shaming of the participants, including the NGOs. In parallel, UNICEF officials and donors, including the US, Canadian, Japanese and European governments, must be pressed to review funding and move to end this complicity. The individuals and foundations who give generously to UNICEF under the illusion that unlike other UN bodies, this one actually acts morally, should reconsider. If UNICEF officials are seriously concerned about protecting children like Ahed Tamimi, as well as the Israeli child victims the ongoing terror war, they should keep far away from such exploitation.

How Anti-Semitism’s True Origin Makes It Invisible To The Left
Perhaps as disturbing as the resurgence of anti-Semitism on the hard left is the reluctance of leftists who aren’t anti-Semites to acknowledge it. This reluctance, argues John-Paul Pagano, stems directly from trends in left-wing thinking that have created a special blindness to the hatred of Jews.

[This] erasure of anti-Semitism . . . exposes a huge moral failure at the heart of the modern left. Under the enveloping paradigm of “intersectionality,” people are granularly defined by their various identities—except for white Jews, whose Jewishness is often overwritten by their skin color. . . .

[I]n a key sense, regular racism, [directed] against blacks and Latinos for example, is the opposite of anti-Semitism. [This sort of bigotry] comes from white people believing they are superior to people of [other races]. But the hatred of Jews stems from the belief that Jews are a cabal with supernatural, [or near-supernatural], powers. . . . Whereas the white racist regards blacks as inferior, the anti-Semite imagines that Jews have preternatural power to afflict humankind. . . . If Jews have power, then “punching up” at Jews is a form of “speaking truth to power”—a form of speech of which the left is currently enamored. In other words, it is because anti-Semitism pretends to strike at power that the left cannot see it, and is doomed to erase—and even reproduce—its tropes. . . .

Above all else, anti-Semitism is a conspiracy theory about the maleficent Jewish elite. And it’s this that makes it easy to disguise anti-Semitism as a “politics of liberation,” or at least, to embed it quietly in efforts for social justice. You can see this in the resuscitated efforts of groups like Black4Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace to portray Israel and America as bastions of capitalist white supremacy that collude to brutalize “people of color.” . . .

When the Palestinian Authority’s President Mahmoud Abbas delivered his recent rant of over two hours to assembled Palestinian leaders, he alleged wild conspiracies, . . . [declaring] that “Israel has imported frightening amounts of drugs in order to destroy our younger generation.” In response, the [lobbying] group J Street, after rejecting “the divisive and inflammatory rhetoric used by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas,” complained that Donald Trump had provoked Abbas to despair [rather than acknowledging that Abbas has thought and said such things about Jews for his entire career].

UNICEF's quarterly Humanitarian Situation Report for the Palestinian-controlled territories mentions that the group tried to understand what makes kids attack Jews at the beginning of the "knife intifada" in October 2015.

Following the rapid escalation in violence between children and Israeli Security Forces (ISF) in East Jerusalem in October-December 2015, UNICEF undertook a rapid appraisal in five areas (Old City, Silwan, Issawiya, Jabal Mukaber & Shu’fat Refugee Camp). 80 children (61 boys and 19 girls), and 30 caregivers were interviewed and identified key drivers to violence as being priority humanitarian service delivery gaps: in order of priority
1) retaliation and revenge response to alleged humiliation by ISF and settler violence,
2) role of social media in response to witnessed incident(s),
3) act of patriotism and
4) peer pressure and bullying
were identified as main drivers within a context characterized by poor domestic conditions, boredom, and lack of playing spaces.
Yes, bored kids all over the world decide to stab people.

The methodology from UNICEF is unclear; kids will often answer how they think they are expected to answer so the "retaliation and revenge" idea seems nebulous. There was no difference between how Israel acted towards the Palestinians in August or in October of 2015; the spark that was mentioned in all media and social media was rumors about Israel taking over the Al Aqsa Mosque, which UNICEF actively avoids mentioning.

The role of social media is another whitewash by UNICEF, as it doesn't mention that the kids are being directly incited by a constant barrage of mainstream and social media communications that make "martyrs" into heroes and that demonize Jews.

The least important factors mentioned by UNICEF, peer pressure and bullying, are perhaps the most important ones in reality. "Peer pressure" to stab Jews makes no sense because any peers who actually do it tend not to remain peers - they are in prison or killed.

That leaves bullying. One can easily imagine a kid who is being abused by his classmates wanting to use a terror attack to escape the situation, and become a hero at the same time. Using the "occupation" as an excuse will satisfy the bigots at UN agencies who want to ascribe all the evils of the world to Israel, but it seems very likely that kids going on stabbing sprees are acting out of the same motivation as some female suicide bombers - a way to escape a bad life and/or to erase shame and transform it into honor. And Palestinian society honors terrorists more than any other kind of role model, a basic piece of information that UNICEF does not deem important enough to mention in its quest to find the root causes of child terrorism in 2015  (that they euphemistically call "violence between children and Israeli Security Forces.")

The epicenter of the child attacks was not Jerusalem, but Hebron. UNICEF did not seem to prioritize Hebron in this "rapid appraisal" but they mention Hebron in a different context in a more recent report, "UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa completes visit in the State of Palestine."

Cappelaere also met with social workers at the Hebron Directorate of the Ministry of Social Development, with whom UNICEF works closely. They explained how they investigate suspected cases of child abuse and take appropriate action to protect the children, despite being overwhelmed with a growing number of cases.
There are literally an overwhelming number of child abuse cases in Hebron - the spot where most of the attacks took place. The earlier report hints at the same factor when it mentions the "context" of "poor domestic conditions."

Reading between the lines, it appears as if Palestinian child abuse, and the lack of protections of children from being hurt by their peers and parents, is a significant driver motivating abused kids to want to escape their horrible lives. And the constant message that terrorists are heroes makes attacking Israelis the easiest and most logical solution.

From Ian:

The left’s latest bid to delegitimize the Jewish state
Jerusalem defied many in the media’s expectations that it would explode into violence after President Trump’s decision to recognize the city as Israel’s capital. But that hasn’t stopped some liberal Zionists from predicting doom — and the demise of their own ideology.

Michelle Goldberg wrote in The New York Times this week that the announcement, along with the fruition of plans to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, would be the prime cause for the death of “liberal Zionism” — a concept that isn’t explicitly defined but is generally understood to center on a two-state solution. Goldberg claimed Trump showed “Palestinians and Israelis alike” that he was “giving the Israeli government carte blanche to continue claiming Palestinian territory,” even though she admitted the administration was “not prejudging the status of Jerusalem in a final peace deal.”

There is likely a one-state future, and it “can be Jewish or it can be democratic, but it cannot be both,” Goldberg argued. “Trump’s embassy decision was thus another nail in the coffin of liberal Zionism.”

She wasn’t alone. On Dec. 6, the day of Trump’s embassy announcement, Haroon Moghul wrote for NBC News that it “signal[ed] that the two-state solution is pretty much dead.” The next day, UCLA Professor Saree Makdisi wrote an op-ed titled “Trump Just Dealt a Death Blow to the Two-State Solution” in the Los Angeles Times. Both were riddled with half-truths and selective omissions of history — namely any mention of Arab nations rejecting repeated land-for-peace offers by Israel or the fact that Arab countries initiated many of the wars where, as Makdisi put it, Israel “illegally” took land.

It’s a particularly egregious bit of hypocrisy. From the Arab League’s famous “Three No’s” (no peace, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel) after the Six-Day War to Linda Sarsour telling Haaretz last year that she desired not a two-state solution but a single state (without Jewish self-determination), when those opposed to Israel’s existence have actually denounced a two-state plan, they’re not accused of hindering the peace process.

Should America Stop Funding UNRWA?
UNRWA provides aid to Palestinians. But it does some harmful things too: slandering Jews and putting Israeli lives in danger. It even worsens the refugee problem. Trump wants to cut funding. So why is the Israeli PM urging him to reconsider? The answers might surprise you.

UNICEF: Another UN Agency corrupted by anti-Israel politics
ISIS, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and Boko Haram justifiably appear on the UN’s list of grave violators of children’s rights in conflict zones. But UNICEF is also spearheading a campaign to have Israel’s military included on this blacklist, which could lead to Security Council sanctions if successful.

It’s preposterous that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) could be grouped among terror groups and militias from failed states, together with the planet’s worst offenders in terms of protecting children.

But the problem is that UNICEF has for years been partnering with a group of virulently anti-Israel non-governmental organizations (NGOs), who play an integral role in advancing this campaign to blacklist the IDF, receiving hundreds of millions of dollars from UNICEF to do so.

These NGOs, some of whom reportedly have links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist group, supply UNICEF’s Palestinian office (UNICEF-oPt) with a steady stream of inaccurate information and distorted claims about Israel’s justice system and the operations of its security forces.

This propaganda then becomes the basis for misleading and false UNICEF reports about the alleged mistreatment of Palestinian minors involved in violent attacks and who are subsequently arrested by the IDF.

Basically, UNICEF has allowed itself to become corrupted by a virulently anti-Israel and pro-BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions) agenda, which is now perverting its mandate of child protection and its guidelines of neutrality and impartiality, as documented in a 49 page report released last week by the watchdog group NGO Monitor, UNICEF and its NGO Working Group: The Campaign to Blacklist the IDF.

Politico reports:
The executive director of the United Nations Children’s Fund on Sunday decried debates over the extent of hunger in Gaza as “kind of obscene.”

Speaking to host Margaret Brennan on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” UNICEF’s Catherine Russell said: “To me, it’s kind of obscene that we are having these conversations arguing about whether the methodology works or not. We know children are dying, right? I am tired of a discussion about, well, are we giving the right information or not?”
She's referring to the flawed IPC report claiming that parts of Gaza are officially famine-stricken.

IPC  makes its determinations based on standards - and if the methodology is flawed, then their conclusions are flawed. Which means that there is no famine.

Like "genocide" and "apartheid" and "occupation," "famine" has a specific definition. If you change the definition to make it fit for Israel, then you are simply a liar.  It is a big deal.

No one is claiming that children aren't dying in Gaza, a small percentage because of a lack of food. But when the definition of famine says that hundreds of children should be dying a day, and the numbers aren't close to that, then someone is lying.

To Russell, facts don't matter. She's tired of being held to any standards of truth. If she wants it to be called a famine, she can call it a famine. If she wants to say that thousands of kids died from malnutrition, even though it isn't true, she doesn't want to be contradicted. Because insisting on truth is, to her, "obscene."

What is obscene is UNICEF's leaders routinely lying to incite against Israel.

In March 2024, Russell was also on Face the Nation where she claimed that over 13,000 children had been killed in Gaza.

But the Palestinian Health Ministry at the time said that the number was roughly half that amount. The only source for the 13,000 was Hamas.

That was good enough for UNICEF.

It did the same last October, inflating the number of dead children by 6,000 based on Hamas figures - again contradicting the Gaza health ministry.

In March 2024, UNICEF's spokesperson made up a brand new international law just for Israel.

UNICEF even lies to children, with UNICEF Australia creating a guide to the conflict that is filled with things that are simply  not true.

Thanks to Catherine Russell, we now know that these aren't mistakes. She made it very clear on national television that UNICEF must not be held to any standards of truth whatsoever, that lies are UNICEF policy, and anyone who insists that a UN agency gives out accurate information is "obscene."

From Ian:

Evelyn Gordon: What Raqqa Says about Gaza’s Death Toll
ISIS and Hamas employ virtually identical tactics, which is why comparing Gaza to Raqqa or Mosul makes sense. Both dig extensive tunnel networks under civilian buildings, wire civilian buildings with explosives, stockpile arms in civilian buildings and fight from the midst of a civilian population. These tactics greatly increase both property damage and civilian casualties, whether in Gaza, Syria, or Iraq.

Yet despite the enemy’s similar tactics, Israel produced vastly lower casualties as a proportion of Gaza’s population and much less property damage as a proportion of Gaza’s property than the Western coalition against ISIS did in Syria and Iraq. In other words, the very Western countries that accused Israel of “disproportionate” and “excessive” harm in Gaza were guilty of far greater harm in Syria and Iraq.

So if they really believe the accusations they hurled at Israel, Western leaders—starting with former U.S. President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry—ought to turn themselves in as war criminals. And if they don’t like that option, it’s past time for them to finally admit that what they acknowledge in Syria and Iraq is equally true in Gaza. It’s simply not possible to fight terrorist organizations that employ the tactics used by ISIS and Hamas without harming civilians.

And it’s also time for them to admit what a group of high-ranking Western military experts concluded in a comprehensive report on the Gaza war: faced with these difficulties, Israel’s success in minimizing civilian harm equaled or exceeded that of any other Western country. If more proof were needed, that 100-to-one difference in casualty ratios between Raqqa and Gaza certainly provides it.
Fifth medal for flagless Israel at Abu Dhabi judo Grand Slam
Israeli judoka Or (Ori) Sasson defeated Belgium's Benjamin Harmegnies on Saturday to add a judo Grand Slam bronze medal to his growing trophy collection.

Sasson, who won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics, becomes the fifth Israeli to win a medal at the Grand Slam event which has been overshadowed by a ban on Israeli judokas sporting their national flag.

With organizers claiming that the ban is justified due to security concerns, Israelis have competed under the flag of the International Judo Federation.

Earlier on Saturday, another Israeli athlete, Peter Paltchik, claimed bronze in the under 100kg category.

On Thursday, Israel’s Tal Flicker put all the distractions aside and claimed the under 66 kg gold medal at the Grand Slam. The 25-year-old defeated Nijat Shikhalizada of Azerbaijan in the final, registering an Ippon, judo’s version of a knockout, with 25 seconds remaining.

Israel also took part in the event in Abu Dhabi under similar conditions two years ago. This year’s delegation has surpassed the achievements of the team from 2015.

Gabriel Epstein has gone deep into the weeds of the Gaza aid delivery debacle, and discovered something interesting.

While virtually all of the World Food Programme food aid  has been stolen since July 1, UNICEF aid has been far more successful at reaching its destinations safely.

The apparent reason is that UNICEF hires private security to transport and guard its shipments.

The Al-Aqsa Transport, Security and Guarding Company announced on August 4 that it was securing UNICEF convoys in Gaza, and even posted a promotional video (you can see the UNICEF logo at 0:54):

This chart Epstein created shows the percentage of aid that made it through by NGO in August.

UNICEF collected only 6% of the aid collected at Gaza borders - yet it successfully delivered 61% of the aid that arrived to the intended destinations.

There are other private security organizations in Gaza as well as clans willing to secure aid shipments as well as commercial vehicles. Capitalism is the most efficient way to get things to work, but apparently that goes against WFP principles, so they let Hamas grab the food instead - to resell.

Think about it: if WFP would spend 20% of the money they get on security, they would deliver maybe 90% of the food instead of zero. Hundreds of thousands of people fed. No possible famine. Seems like a pretty easy calculation, doesn't it?

The UNICEF experience also shows the lie of the Gaza NGOs that claim that the Gazza Humanitarian Foundation is illegitimate and immoral because it "militarizes" aid. Look at the video again, or the video from the Al Mughasib clan securing UNICEF and other aid. Looks militarized to me!

A cynic would say that WFP has more of an interest in painting Israel as intentionally starving Gazans and in projecting famine-like conditions in Gaza than in feeding Gazans.

It gets harder every day not to be cynical.

(Part 1 here)

In my investigation into why UNICEF over looks Palestinian child abuse there is finally some movement on their website addressing the word “violence.” I have kept up my many attempts to contact Monica Awad and Catherine Weibel and there has been continued silence on their part to maintain a dialogue. I’m hoping since it was respectful, they will answer me. A well meaning dialogue that would include my traveling to their offices in Shuafat in east Jerusalem to get some answers.

In the meantime, UNICEF has finally updated their page on the current post-2014 Gaza war situation for children in that region. It says that recovery is slow since the August ceasefire. They are reporting basic needs such as food, water and hygiene are substantial but more than 300,000 children are in need of psychological and emotional support. Nothing more is written on their emotional well being and if this damage is actually PTSD. There is only mention of 258 schools and kindergartens damaged and 26 schools beyond repair. UNICEF is also looking to provide nutrition and the restoration of access to water. Fruits and vegetables are delivered daily too.

No mention of the possible psychological damage inflicted on these children from Hamas placing rockets in the UNRWA schools or children being placed by or near rocket launchers. No mention of children forcibly detained in buildings by Hamas as human shields. No mention of children suffering emotional turmoil at the loss of family members.

There is, however, one tiny mention that UNICEF is providing child protection programs. It is unclear what type of protection they are providing. Are they removing children from homes where terrorists reside? Are they providing psychologists for therapeutic purposes or is it volunteers delivering board-games door to door so children have something to play with?

UNICEF falls short in mentioning that Hamas is entirely to blame for the economic blockade they put on Israel since taking control of Gaza in 2007. Gaza farmers saw an Israel that allowed tractors to let them farm their own food and boost the economy. The export of foods between Gaza and Israel would boost health and economy as noted by Tahseen Al-Saqqa, Marketing Director of Gaza Agriculture. Again, no mention that it is Israel doing more than Gaza leaders to help the well being of Gazans affected from last year’s war.

So many questions need answering, and it’s impossible to get any answers from the Jerusalem office. Here are their goals for 2015 which is soon coming to a close:

UNICEF and partners plan for 320,000 people to have access to water, improved hygiene. Is Israel including water bottles for drinking and bathing in their weekly aid delivery? If so, UNICEF is not mentioning it.

170,000 children (50% girls) and caregivers (I think that means parents and/or guardians?) benefit from protection and/or psychological support activities. This sounds very evasive. What exactly is the nature of this benefit?

250,000 children and 100,000 women have access to life saving medicine and consumables. It is unclear if this is due to Israel allowing Gazans to come to Israeli hospitals or if doctors from around the globe have offered their services to heal the sick in Gaza.

This is all very evasive. I hope for a peaceful resolution and dialogue. in the meantime, my part III excursion to Shuafat is in the early stages of planning.

Ma'an reports, poorly:
The union of Palestinian contractors on Monday announced a boycott a UN agency that allows Israeli firms to bid for construction work in the Gaza Strip.

The union said contractors would boycott all work for UNICEF "until they backtrack from their decision to take offers from Israeli companies and equate them with Palestinian companies."

Urging all local and official organizations to follow suit, the union said in a statement that hiring Israeli firms for projects in Gaza would reward Israel's siege of the enclave and destroy the Palestinian economy.

The decision to boycott followed a meeting between union leaders and UNICEF special representative Jean Gough.
Really? Israeli firms are bidding to do construction work in Gaza, where their workers would be in grave danger?

You have to read further to see what is really going on:
In a statement, Gough said UNICEF purchased goods and services through a competitive bid process "from qualified Palestinian manufacturers, authorized dealers and companies.

"We only buy from other providers when goods are not available."
That changes things a little. And what might these goods be?
UNICEF is building a desalination unit in the Gaza Strip. The UN has estimated that almost 95 percent of water pumped in Gaza is unfit for drinking.

"We are committed to work with our Palestinian partners to ensure that this unit can be built without delay and with the best quality materials available, so that it can benefit Palestinian children as soon as possible," Gough said.

"The final decision on the continuation of this project is in the hands of our Palestinian counterparts and stakeholder."

UNICEF spokeswoman Catherine Weibel told Ma'an that the agency had invited bids from authorized dealers and manufacturers for the project but no company had yet been hired.
Ah, so it is specialized desalination equipment that is up for bid, not "construction work." And Israel is a leader in that field.

So Palestinian Arab contractors, who don't care in the least if UNICEF pays double for non-Israeli products, are prepared to force UNICEF to bar products from Israel in their normal competitive bid process.

The Ma'an story doesn't quite capture the cynicism that is being shown here, where the health of Gazans is being politicized in order to make a ridiculous point - ridiculous because Gazans prefer to buy Israeli goods for their own families when given a choice.

UNICEF Australia has a webpage called "A child-friendly guide to the Gaza-Israel crisis."

Here is its summary:

At school, home or on social media, you may have heard people talking about Israel and Gaza and have wondered, what is happening?
The situation in Gaza and Israel is very complex and has been going on since the mid-20th Century, which is why many adults also find it hard to understand what is happening.

Essentially, there are two groups of people: the Israelis (the people who live mostly in Israel) and the Palestinians (the people who live mostly in the Gaza Strip and another area known as the West Bank).

The Israelis and the Palestinians both have a very strong connection to the land. They have tried to make agreements to share the land, but these agreements fall apart, and the fighting starts again about who gets to live where.
See? Hamas only murdered 1,200 Israeli citizens because the agreement to share the land fell apart! Don't even think it could have been the other way around!

The page shows about nine pictures, of children and war damage. Every single picture is from Gaza, the West Bank or Lebanon. Not one from the kibbutzim in the south of Israel, not a word about terrorism or rockets.

It ends with five fast facts about the conflict. The first one, when analyzed, is enough to show UNICEF's anti-Israel bias.

How many things can one sentence get wrong?

There is no State of Palestine.

Even if you accept there is such a state, it didn't exist in the mid-20th century.

If you claim that this is only a semantic issue, and the Arabs who lived in the region were effectively citizens of the State of Palestine, then what happened in the mid-20th century that began the conflict?

If Arabs in the area were part of the State of Palestine before it existed, then the Jews killed in 1920, 1921, 1929, and 1936-39 by the Arabs must have been part of the State of Israel before it existed.  But that isn't part of the conflict, according to UNICEF, because 1921 or 1929 are not "mid-20th century."

So the beginning of the conflict was the founding of the State of Israel. Without Israel, UNICEF is telling its child readers, there would be no conflict! Who cares about the Jews killed by Arabs before Israel was reborn? It has nothing to do with it!

This is the baked in anti-Israel bias at the UN and many other organizations. The authors of this page no doubt believed that they were giving a dispassionate, even-handed simplification of the conflict, but their choice of photos and words show nothing of the sort. This is a subtle but unmistakable way to teach children that Israel is the problem.

There is yet another problem with this single sentence. Since the page is about Gaza, Hamas is not framed as a separate group, but as part of the State of Palestine. UNICEF is saying Israel's war is against the State of Palestine, not Hamas.

This is hardly the only problem with this page. UNICEF airbrushes Hezbollah attacks, saying that the war in Gaza caused "tension" between Israel and Hezbollah. It does not mention that Israel was also attacked by Syrian, Iraqi and Iranian rockets. Any context of the war that might make children sympathetic to Israel is non-existent, while there is plenty to make them identify with Palestinians.

NGO Monitor: UNICEF and its NGO Working Group: The Campaign to Blacklist the IDF
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
UNICEF spearheads a campaign to have Israel included on a UN blacklist of “grave” vio-lators of children’s rights. The list appears as an annex to the UN Secretary-General’s annual report on Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC). This political agenda is a primary facet of UNICEF’s activities relating to Israel, completely inconsistent with its mandate of “child protection” and from its guidelines for neutrality and impartiality.
  • UNICEF-oPt’s partners (“working group”) for this campaign are radical advocacy non-governmental organizations (NGOs). These anti-Israel NGOs play an integral role in carrying out UNICEF’s campaign and receive substantial funding from UNICEF to do so.
  • The UN blacklist consists almost entirely of terror groups and militias from failed states. In essence, by pushing for the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) inclusion on the list, UNICEF and its NGO partners are claiming that Israel’s army is equivalent to ISIS, Boko Haram, the Taliban, and Al Qaeda.
  • Several of the Palestinian groups – including Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCI-P), which plays a leading role in this campaign – have reported links to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – listed as a terrorist organization by the US, EU, Canada, and Israel. UNICEF-oPt states, “UNICEF has a clear policy that is does not fund support (sic) organizations which are listed as terrorist organizations by the United Nations” – a list that excludes Hamas, the PFLP, and Islamic Jihad.
  • Several UNICEF-oPt NGO partners recommended inclusion of the IDF on the UN blacklist, but absurdly claimed they lacked sufficient evidence to recommend inclusion of the PFLP or Hamas.
  • A key component of the UN’s Children and Armed Conflict campaign is to end the exploi-tation and use of children as combatants and child soldiers. Although Palestinian armed groups routinely use children in this way, there is little evidence that UNICEF-oPt funding is devoted towards exposing or ending this practice. In fact, a UNICEF Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC) bulletin admits that “In Gaza, the Working Group was not in a position to document cases of child recruitment and use of children in armed conflict owing to a number of factors, including security and protection risks related to collecting comprehensive and detailed information” (emphasis added). This admission of an inability to carry out the core mission of its UN mandate in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza calls into question the necessity and utility of continued funding for the agency in the region.
  • Other UNICEF-oPt partners are NGOs that seek to marginalize Israel through BDS (boycotts, divestment, and sanctions) initiatives. One such contributor is the World Council of Churches’ EAPPI program, which is heavily involved in church-based BDS and whose non-professional volunteers purport to collect data for a UNICEF database.
  • UNICEF-oPt’s NGO partners publish misleading and false reports on the treatment of Palestinian minors involved in attacks and arrested by the IDF, rife with distortions and in-accuracies and devoid of necessary context. These same erroneous and unverified claims are then laundered through a UNICEF database to a variety of UN publications, lending them legitimacy and prominence.

UNICEF acting to add IDF to list of 'grave violators of children's rights'
The NGO Monitor report further shows how UNICEF opted to ignore violations of children's rights by Palestinian organizations in the Gaza Strip, when it admitted "the working group was not in a position to document cases of child recruitment and use of children in armed conflict owing to a number of factors, including security and protection risks related to collecting comprehensive and detailed information."

The anti-Israel organizations behind the UNICEF working group have in recent years published false and misleading reports on the IDF's arrest and purported abuse of Palestinian minors involved in attacks which were later entered into a UNICEF database, lending them legitimacy.

A number of these organizations, including the Defense for Children International- Palestine, have ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which has been recognized as a terrorist organization by Israel, Canada, the EU and the U.S.

In response to a query from NGO Monitor, UNICEF Palestine did not deny that the organization had ties to terrorist groups.

"UNICEF has a clear policy that it does not fund … organizations which are listed as terrorist organizations by the United Nations."

Among those organizations excluded from the world body's terrorist list are Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Other organizations involved in efforts to include the IDF in the U.N. blacklist actively promote the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement.
UNICEF Being Fed False Info By Anti-Israel Hate Groups To Target IDF
NGO Monitor states, “UNICEF’s role in this process includes giving legitimacy to false and distorted claims made by the NGOs, which are fed through a UNICEF database to a variety of U.N. publications.” NGO Monitor notes that three groups passing information to the working group are linked to The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which is on the U.S. State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

Those groups allegedly include Addameer, which NGO Monitor states is an affiliate of the PFLP; the Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCI-P), which had a board member who helped launch grenade attacks against Israeli civilians in 1968, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, whose founder was imprisoned by Israel for membership in the PFLP.

Rep. Ron DeSantis, (R-FL), stated that Israel is a “staunch defender of human rights,” and warned the U.N. there might be financial consequences if the IDF was blacklisted. He added, “For the United Nations to even consider such action following their condemnation of President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital is further proof of the U.N.’s anti-Israel bias. ... The United States should take any punitive action against Israel into consideration when determining who is deserving of foreign assistance.”

Groups already on the blacklist include ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Interestingly, one of the violations listed by the U.N. is “recruitment or use of children as soldiers.” One wonders why the U.N. has not seen fit to list the Palestinians and Hamas, who have used children as human shields and suicide bombers.

From Ian:

Amb. Alan Baker: Palestinian Manipulation of the International Criminal Court
According to an Israeli television news report on January 9, 2018,[1] the Israeli prime minister’s National Security Council recently cautioned the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee that the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) will likely open a formal investigation against Israeli officials and officers in response to Palestinian complaints regarding Israel’s 2014 “Protective Edge” operation in the Gaza Strip and Israel’s building of settlements in the West Bank areas of Judea and Samaria.

According to this report, “The opening of an investigation has serious implications for Israel. It will be directed against people and could involve warrants for investigations and arrests.”

Conclusions
In light of the lack of any valid legal basis to the Palestinian claim to statehood, and in light of the fact that Palestinians’ status, and that the status of the territories are under ongoing dispute and negotiation, there can be no legal or logical foundation to accept “Palestine” as party to the ICC statute. Thus, there is no basis for extending the court’s jurisdiction over the territories under dispute, pending resolution of the dispute and the determination, by agreement, of their final and permanent status.

Lacking any legal foundation, the Palestinian complaints – regarding both the “Protective Edge” operation and Israeli settlements – must, therefore, be rejected by the ICC.

The ICC statute renders inadmissible any case that has been duly investigated[11] and, as necessary, prosecuted by the legal authorities of the state concerned.[12] The appropriate legal and law enforcement authorities in Israel maintain the highest international standards, in fitting with the norms and requirements set out in the ICC Statute.
Iranian brutality, European cowardice, US leadership
In March 1979, shortly after the mullahs grabbed power and dragged Iran into theocratic dictatorship, destructive wars and terrorism, Iranian women took to the streets to protest the forced hijab. “Freedom is not eastern, not western, it is universal,” they chanted.

Almost 40 years later, the Iranian people are still fighting the same tyrants. In the struggle for freedom, you would expect an institution like the European Union, defined by the universal character of liberty and democracy, to stand in solidarity with the oppressed against their oppressors.

So far Europe has sent the opposite message. “We are not going to sustain political and economic relations with a country engaged in the brutal oppression of peaceful protesters,” are the words Federica Mogherini, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, never uttered. Instead, she remained silent for six days.

When she finally broke her silence, Mogherini’s message was tainted by moral myopia. “We expect all concerned to refrain from violence,” she said, after Iranian security forces had already killed at least 22 people and incarcerated more than 3,000. The EU statement echoed earlier ambiguous messages from the British, German, French and Swedish governments.

The EU’s cowardly reaction contrasts with the strong response from the United States. Lawmakers from the left and right of the political spectrum – everyone from President Donald Trump and Marco Rubio to Bernie Sanders and Bob Menendez – responded to the call for freedom in Iran.

The businessman exiled for being Jewish
When Adam Ringer was forcibly removed from Poland simply because he was Jewish, he didn't think he'd ever be able to return to his homeland.

It was back in 1968 that Mr Ringer, 19 at the time, was made to renounce his Polish citizenship and kicked out of the country, during one of communism's darker episodes.

Just 23 years after the Holocaust, Poland's surviving Jewish population was targeted by an anti-Semitic purge officially sanctioned by the country's then communist authorities.

Branded an "anti-Zionist" campaign, Polish Jews were stripped of their jobs and deported, because of the government's - and the wider Soviet Bloc's - growing hostility towards Israel at the time.

An estimated 14,000 Poles of Jewish faith or ancestry were forced to leave the country, after each being given a document that stated that its holder was stateless and had no right to ever return to Poland.

Looking back, Mr Ringer says: "Many of my colleagues were arrested... my father was expelled from his job. We were all in shock and feared for the worst." (h/t Zvi)

For the last week, repeated attempts to contact Monica Awad and Catherine Weibel of UNICEF in Beit Hanina in the Shuafat section of East Jerusalem have failed. They have evaded every email and messsage I have left them. I was hoping for a peaceful and professional dialogue with them, but they have shut the door. Par for the course for UN organizations who are inclined to lazily blame settlements for why Palestinian children turn to instead of documenting the historical timeline of how a majority of the Oslo generations have resorted to terrorism.

On UNICEF State of Palestine’s appeal page we find the following:

In the West Bank, the existence and expansion including in East Jerusalem, illegal under international law, have been a primary driver of protection threats against children. Seizure of land for settlement building and future expansion has contributed to children’s physical insecurity, as well as to families’ loss of land, resources, assets and livelihood. It has increased children’s exposure to violence, risk of detention, forced displacement and impeded access to services, including education. The situation threatens children’s security and psychosocial well-being and negatively impacts the fabric of family and community life. Violence and disruption to social services and protection systems also undermine the ability of parents to care for and protect the children.
The above paragraph sounds like something written by Max Blumenthal but more polished.

Let’s break this down to what they’re really trying to convey:

Jewish existence in Judea and Samaria drives Palestinians to become neurotic therefore making them unable to do day to day tasks. The seizure of land for settlement building is a complete fabrication. Palestinians can build wherever they want in Area A of the Palestinian Authority. In many cases, they begin building homes and stop in the middle of construction. The building sits uncompleted and uninhabited. Anyone who drives through this area can see a number of homes half built. They don’t require the permits and permission to build. Israelis need the required permits to build in Judea and Samaria from the Israel Land Authority.

Future expansion of settlements does not contribute to Palestinian children's physical insecurity. Living under Abbas/Hamas rule dictatorship, indoctrination of antisemitism and the constant barrage of anti Israel propaganda on Palestinian television brainwashes children to commit acts of violence against Israelis; Jewish and Arab citizens are targets.

Families’ loss of land, resources, assets and livelihood are only lost when a Palestinian family member engages in an act of terror. The law is very clear; anyone who engages in an act of terror will have their home demolished and in some cases their residency status revoked.

This is a classic case of blaming the victim; if only Jews did not exist in Israel, Palestinians wouldn’t have to resort to violence to achieve social justice. Forced displacement is caused by Palestinian terrorists ruining their families' chance at a better life.

Palestinian children have access to education. You can see them walking home from school in Beit Sahour every day. It’s the type of education they are receiving that comes into question. Until I gain answers from Monica Awad, we can assume the textbooks continue to call for killing Jews in Algebra class.

Resources: Building material, food products and basic necessities are exported to Area A from Israel on a daily basis. I frequently see trucks with Palestinian licence plates delivering items to Area A so the Palestinian economy and commerce with Israel can remain “business as usual.”

Risk of detention: If you throw rocks at soldiers, Israeli cars and harm us, you will be arrested. Another clear attempt at blaming victims of terror. The poor rock throwing teen just can’t be held responsible for his actions because Jewish existence is making his or her life miserable.

Security and psychosocial well-being negatively impacting the fabric of family and community life: I’m interpreting this as a cover up for Palestinian mothers encouraging their sons and daughters to stab Jews. It should be made clear that the reason for why there is lack of stable family life and community is the corruption in leadership stemming back to the days Yassir Arafat created the Palestinian Authority, doing nothing to enable job creation, building villas for his cronies, handing billions to his wife and Abbas continuing those policies today. Arafat’s failures led Palestinians to run into the arms of Hamas in the last elections. The demise of the Palestinian Authority is happening before our eyes.

UNICEF, are you aware that an estimate of 200-250 Palestinians ready to die in exchange for murdering Jews is the current number? Furthermore, can you explain how more than 130 attacks against Israelis have taken place in this current intifada. This number includes those who have been arrested. UNICEF’s inability and failure to report that this wave of violence against Jews is by their own free will since October.

This puts the number at approximately three terrorists a day in Israel making this a deeply surreal and dangerous situation for all Israeli citizens. UNICEF is literally revising the truth by its failure to post the statistics associated to Jewish victims of terror. UNICEF claims they exist to help all children in every country. If that is the case, why are they conveniently blacking out on the children who have been stabbed, the baby boy who had his leg amputated by a car ramming attack?

So many times in our Israeli media, mothers of neutralized terrorists  praise their childrens’ violent behavior while weeping over how much they are missed. In many instances, it is the Palestinian mothers enabling the violence and creating an atmosphere of driving their own children to insanity. Teaching them to hate and kill at a very young age shows these parents love death more than their own children.

Monica Awad, I cleared your name in Part I of my series on UNICEF when Middle East Monitor lied in your interview them. You have been given every opportunity to clear the record honestly. The least you can do is give me the time to create a positive discussion. Instead, you are cowardly running from my phone calls and emails. This makes you look complicit in enabling Hamas and Abbas in incitement against Israel. Until then, you’re failing these children.

As we reported in June, UNICEF's home page still claims that 14,000 children were killed in Gaza even after the Gaza health ministry changed its story and said at the time that there were less than 8,000 children killed - a number that UN OCHA had already been publishing.

One would think that UNICEF would have corrected their figures to be in line with other UN agencies over the past four months.

Oh, who are we kidding? UNICEF does fundraising based on the number of children it can claim Israel attacked, so it has no incentive to bother telling the truth.

Egypt's Youm7 interviewed UNICEF spokesman Kazem Abu Khalaf who said, “There is a deliberate targeting of children, whether by killing or wounding them. The estimates so far are that the number is close to 17,000, but there is a need for further updates.”

Where did he get the 17,000 figure from? It wasn't the Gaza health ministry. It wasn't UN-OCHA whose own count is at about 11,000.

The only source for the 17,000 figure is Hamas.

UNICEF gets its statistics straight from Hamas. Not the health ministry, not OCHA, not a trusted NGO - no, UNICEF trusts a terror group to have accurate figures.

Perhaps some reporter can do their job and, you know, ask them.

From Reuters:
The U.N. children's agency said on Sunday over 13,000 children have been killed in Gaza in Israel's offensive, opens new tab, adding many kids were suffering from severe malnutrition and did not "even have the energy to cry."

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell did not provide a source for the child fatality figure during an interview with CBS News.

When asked if Russell was referring to the agency's own estimate or was basing the figure on reporting from authorities in Hamas-governed Gaza, a UNICEF spokesperson pointed to a press statement by the U.N. children's agency that attributed the figure to Gaza's health ministry.

As I reported yesterday, the vast majority of deaths reported by the health ministry since January 1 have not come directly from hospitals but from "trusted media sources," meaning Hamas. While the ministry directly counted 890 women and children killed since January 1, it also parrots the supposed deaths of 6,000 more women and children from Hamas in that same time period.

The "trusted media sources" claim 89% of the fatalities that they count outside the MoH are women and children.

Why does UNICEF believe these numbers? Part of it is because dead Gaza kids mean more funding for UNICEF. There is no incentive to disprove the Hamas numbers, and great incentive to believe them.

But there is another side to the equation, which is the desire to believe that Israel is targeting children. UN agencies and organizations follow the theme that Israel is one of the worst human rights abusers in the world, so they will highlight any information from any source that confirms their antisemitic bias - and discount anything that contradicts it.

The entire world eagerly accepts the lies of a murderous terror group. The only reason for that is because the entire world, including the UN, thinks that Jews are less trustworthy than raping, murdering, kidnapping terrorists whose strategy is to maximize their own people's deaths.

Expect other NGOs and the media now to quote UNICEF's false statistics, that came from Hamas via a "health ministry" that routinely lies about Israel and that officially supports Hamas war crimes.

Earlier this week I reported that UN-OCHA claimed "9,000 women" were killed in Gaza, citing a UN Women report. The UN Women report, in turn, cited UN-OCHA for the same statistic.

The only source for this number is a terrorist group.

This statistics laundering is happening a lot within the UN.

UN-OCHA's latest report says that "According to UNICEF, 17,000 children in Gaza are currently unaccompanied or separated, constituting one per cent of the total displaced population of 1.7 million people."

The link at UNICEF says, "UNICEF estimates that at least 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are unaccompanied or separated.....Of course, this is an estimation since it is nearly impossible to gather and verify information under the current security and humanitarian conditions."

So UNICEF made up numbers based on a wild guess of how many children became orphaned or (somehow) separated from their parents, which in turn was based on faked statistics that came directly from...Hamas. But while UNICEF admitted its numbers were an "estimation" and could not be considered accurate at all, OCHA repeats them as official UNICEF stats.

Another UN agency, UNRWA, also repeats Hamas fake statistics.

UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini tried to be careful in his wording, tweeting, "Staggering. The number of children reported killed in just over 4 months in #Gaza is higher than the number of children killed in 4 years of wars around the world combined."

But after that weak caveat of admitting that the Gaza numbers are only "reported," he accepts them as proof that Israel is deliberately targeting children: "This war is a war on children. It is a war on their childhood and their future."

It is an antisemitic libel supported and spread by the UN.

WHO also unquestioningly reports the Hamas statistics as authoritative, including the completely made up statistic of over "7,780" people missing or buried under rubble, a number that has only gone up even as fighting has decreased. Has no one been  uncovering bodies in northern Gaza for months? When they find a body, does the MoH subtract that from their "under the rubble" figure?

Yet since these statistics are reported by the UN, the media and NGOs feel confident to report them as originating with UN agencies instead of noting that they originally come from Hamas.

It is laundering of statistics.

But the antisemitism doesn't end there. The Hamas statistics are accepted unquestioningly, including the absurd idea that 72% of all Gazans killed are women and children. That would be, as of today, over 22,300 women and children killed.

But Israel says that 13,000 terrorists have been killed.  In previous wars, Israel's estimates of terrorists killed have been proven to be accurate.

Presumably all of them are men.

It is impossible for both the Israeli and Hamas statistics to be true, since they would add up to thousands more deaths than even Hamas admits. But the UN assumes Hamas to be accurate and the IDF estimates are not considered.

Believing terrorists over Jews is another type of antisemitism we are seeing constantly during this war.
