"What happened to autumn?" open thread

A freak snowstorm over the weekend messed up my hopes for a good autumn photo, but by yesterday morning most had already melted and the small lake I pass every day was perfectly still:

But I'm saying goodbye to the weird northeastern US weather and heading to a much sunnier state until next week. So blogging will be intermittent for nearly a week.
