From Ian:

Amb. Alan Baker: The U.S. Green Party’s Crusade against Israel
Anyone who peruses the website of the U.S. Green Party or any component of the global Green movement would naturally expect to read about the noble aims of a movement devoted to such values as ecological wisdom and environment protection. Such issues touch upon the very sustainability and integrity of our existence on the planet and should logically override partisan, political issues.

In a world that is plagued by environmental and ecological catastrophes and that faces continuing and ongoing moral and humanitarian crises such as willful bombing and wholesale killing of civilians, mass murders, mass expulsions, denial of basic social, cultural and religious rights and freedoms, assaults on immigrants and others, it is curious that the U.S. Green Party has chosen to concentrate most of its efforts on hounding Israel.

This is even more astounding because Israel is one of the only states that excels in the very values treasured by the Green movement - innovative ways to protect the environment, reduce pollution, purify wastewater, desalinate seawater, reforest, and protect natural resources.

It is all the more curious that the U.S. Green Party, as a matter of policy, considers itself sufficiently credible and authoritative as to advocate dismantling the State of Israel and replacing it with "the creation of one secular, democratic state for Palestinians and Israelis on the land between the Mediterranean Sea and the River Jordan."

On September 12, 2018, the U.S. Green Party wrote to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court on behalf of "the oppressed and besieged people of Palestine peacefully protesting on a weekly basis for their Right of Return," accusing Israel of committing crimes against humanity, including genocide.

The U.S. Green Party ignores the grave Palestinian violations of some of the most basic and important ecological and environmental principles that should surely constitute the backbone of any genuine Green party, including deliberate pollution of the air through the massive burning of tires, the deliberate arson of agricultural produce through the use of explosive kites and balloons, and the deliberate pollution of groundwater resources.
Appeals Court reinstates suit against Sheldon Adelson and others over support for Israel
The U.S. Court of Appeals has just reinstated the lawsuit. Reuters reports:

In a 3-0 decision on Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said a federal district judge wrongly concluded in August 2017 that all of the plaintiffs’ claims raised political questions that could not be decided in American courts….

… in Tuesday’s decision, without ruling on the merits, Circuit Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson said the only political question concerned who had sovereignty over the Israeli-occupied territories.

She said courts could rule on whether the defendants conspired to expel non-Jews or committed war crimes “without touching the sovereignty question, if it concluded that Israeli settlers are committing genocide.”

Henderson said that presented a “purely legal issue” because genocide violated the law of nations, and could support the plaintiffs’ claim under the federal Alien Tort Statute.

Of note, the courts refers to the territories in question as “disputed territory,” rather than the popular “occupied territory.” Israel has a legal claim to the “West Bank” despite the propaganda otherwise:

1 The ownership of the territory, which comprises the WestBank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, is at the heart of a decades-long dispute between the Israelis and the Palestinians. We refer to it as the “disputed territory.”

The court clearly is wrong on the issue of whether the complaint raises non-justiciable political questions. Everything in the case turns on the issue of whether Israel and Israeli settlers properly control the “disputed territory.” That is a political and foreign policy question.

Hopefully either the D.C. Circuit will hear the case en banc, or the Supreme Court will take the case.
French Philosopher: Jews First Victims of Islamic Immigration
French Jewish philosopher Alain Finkielkraut has claimed that the populist movement in Europe has largely been a reaction to demographic changes, blaming German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Finkielkraut labelled Chancellor Merkel’s infamous “wir schaffen das!” (we can do it!) phrase during the height of the migrant crisis in 2015 as “nonsense”, saying, “You see it yourself: you can not do it. This mix of extreme moralism and economic interests was repugnant,” Die Welt reports.

“The Germans wanted to buy themselves free and finally become a morally impeccable people. But that happens at the expense of the Jews, who are the first victims, as more and more immigrants are let in,” he added.

The philosopher said he would support “responsible, if not extremely restrictive” immigration policies, explaining: “I am convinced that the integration of immigrants is becoming increasingly difficult. If immigration goes on, we will have more reverse phenomena, namely that the French adapt to the culture of Islam or convert more and more.”

Last Saturday Finkielkraut was the victim of anti-semitic abuse hurled at him by a Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) protestor who was later revealed to be an Islamic extremist.

Commenting on the attack, Finkielkraut said: “We are now trying to convince ourselves that this is a reawakening of old nationalist and anti-Semitic combat calls such as ‘France belongs to us’, ‘France for the French’.”

“But the one who called that, the most aggressive of them all, is a Salafist,” he said, adding: “If someone says: France belongs to us, then that means: France is destined to become Islamic soil.”
Yellow Vest leader: I would participate in an Anti-Zionist protest
Jerome Rodriguez, one of the prominent leaders of the yellow vests movement in France, who lost his eye from a rubber bullet fired by the police, told Maariv that his movement was not antisemitic. Nevertheless, he added, "Finkielkraut is someone who goes around letting everyone know what his views were." According to Rodriguez, he did not take part in a demonstration against antisemitism because he was "busy visiting his movement's checkpoints in various parts of the country." However, he added that if he had time, he would prefer to participate in a demonstration organized by an anti-Zionist organization that supports boycotting Israel".

UK Newspaper Investigation Uncovers Links Between Top Corbyn Aide and Anti-Israel Terror Groups
A top aide to controversial UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has long-standing ties to anti-Israel terrorist groups and would likely be denied a security clearance as a result, a new report has revealed.

Seumas Milne, Labour’s head of strategy and communications, is considered so influential that he has been referred to as “Corbyn’s brain,” and Corbyn, who is considered antisemitic by the vast majority of British Jews, reportedly relies upon him completely.

According to a weekend exposé by The Mail on Sunday, Milne’s links with terrorist groups dedicated to destroying the Jewish state are decades old. A party staff member, speaking anonymously, said, “Seumas has been supporting groups that deny Israel’s right to exist for many years.”

While he was at Oxford University in 1977, Milne traveled to Lebanon and met with PLO terrorists. According to a New Statesman profile, Milne “learned Arabic, heard shots fired in anger, escaped from a blown-up building, and was briefly captured by militiamen.”

Palestinian activist Hussein Agha who has known Milne for years related that the political adviser “went to Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank — a young boy on a Leftist grand tour. He adopted a Palestinian accent. He used to speak English with Arabs the way they spoke to him.” He added that Milne met with Fatah members while the group still openly called for Israel’s destruction and the ethnic cleansing of its Jewish population. “I met him when he came back,” he told The Mail. “He was not antisemitic, but he was very, very anti-Israel.”
UK Labour deputy flags tweets by party members accusing Jews of murdering kids
Lawmakers in Britain’s Labour opposition party have reportedly flagged social media posts from members accusing Jews of murdering children and questioning whether Jewish parliamentarians have “human blood.”

MP Tom Watson, the deputy chief of Labour, said he received 50 complaints of anti-Semitism last week from Labour colleagues, and called on leader Jeremy Corbyn to personally take them before the party’s top governing body.

According to a Sunday report in the Guardian, the complaints received by Watson included a number of anti-Semitic posts on Twitter by Labour members, such as one alleging “Jews murder people and children.”

“Wonder why Jewish people are hated wherever they’ve settled over last 2000 years. Their double dealing, back stabbing, cheating chilling coldness has always only one outcome. I wonder what the average period of time is before people fed up with the anti-social Jews kick em out,” read one of the tweets, according to the report.

Another tweet said Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was an “illegitimate Rothschild,” the Jewish banking family at the center of numerous anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, while another questioned whether Jewish officials in Labour have “human blood.”
Jeremy Corbyn is radicalising young people and deliberately seeking votes of anti-Semites, Maureen Lipman blasts
JEREMY Corbyn has been "radicalising" students with a pro-Palestine agenda, Corrie star Maureen Lipman claimed today.

The veteran actress accused the Labour boss of deliberately failing to stamp down on anti-Semitism because voters don't care about it.

Labour blasted the extraordinary tirade as "absurd and baseless".

Ms Lipman, a fierce critic of Mr Corbyn, insisted the party leader has the power to stop Labour anti-Semitism.

She told the BBC: "If they wanted to cure anti-Semitism they could have done it in an afternoon - it just takes a couple of statements and it takes Jeremy to stop going on the campuses and radicalising people about Palestine."

Accusing him of ignoring the views of Jewish people, Ms Lipman added: "We're no votes for Jeremy and co, we're no votes for anyone, half of us have left anyway.

"The big votes are with people who are vaguely anti-Semitic."

She said Mr Corbyn is "much more interested in the plight of the Palestinians than the plight of anyone in this country".
BDS FAIL: Abandons Public LIVE CHATS Because of Act.IL
The BDS Organization had been using Live Chats to spread spread propaganda and further indoctrinate members. Act.IL opened up a situation room to give volunteers and the opportunity ask BDS leaders important questions and tough challenges. BDS, in response, shut down all unauthorized discussion. In the end, the queries proved too much of a disturbance to these fragile echo chambers, and the live chats were shut down all together.

Don't fall for the SPLC's lies
The SPLC is not in the business of exploring and addressing racial and ethnic bigotry. It's in the business of crushing anything to the right of the Democratic Party.

As for the report the SPLC just released this week, it concedes there is an uptick in the number of black nationalist groups since 2017, but it downplays this fact by claiming those groups “have little or no impact on mainstream politics and no defenders in high office.” I must’ve just imagined noted-anti-Semite and frequent Democratic guest Louis Farrakhan.

The report also has a section titled, “HATE GOES TO WASHINGTON: Meet the Members of Congress Who Traffic in Hate and Extremism.” It includes Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and Mark Harris, R-N.C., for supporting the traditional definition of marriage that Barack Obama supported until a few years ago. In fact, the section on members of Congress includes only Republicans, which is interesting considering that Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., an actual out-and-proud anti-Semite, also went to Washington this year.

The report takes aim at Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and U.S. national security adviser John Bolton. The SPLC report lists the Alliance Defending Freedom, the Family Research Council, and the Family Research Institute as anti-gay “hate groups.” No report that lumps these groups in the same category as the Westboro Baptist Church should ever be relied on by journalists.

Hate groups are real. Hate crimes are real. The SPLC is not. It exploits hate groups to raise money and further political interests unrelated to the problem of hate. Don't fall for the SPLC's lies.
National Black Law Enforcement group backs Georgia-Israel police exchange program
The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and the Georgia Council on American Indian Concerns (GCOAIC) have issued statements condemning the virulently anti-Israel and undeniably antisemitic campaign known as “Deadly Exchange”.

That campaign, led by the anti-Jewish and anti-peace extremist organization ‘Jewish Voice for Peace’ (JVP), calls to shut down U.S. police department trainings with their counterparts in Israeli law enforcement. It falsely blames Israel and American Jewish organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Jewish Institute for National Security (JINSA), for U.S. domestic policing practices and problems in America’s minority communities.

The two statements by the NOBLE and GCOAIC (see here and here) are in addition to a resolution adopted last week by a local government body that “flatly rejects” JVP’s “Deadly Exchange” campaign. The statements are also similar to those that have been issued in recent weeks by multiple law enforcement organizations and professional associations of police leaders (for a full list click here), Georgia police groups slam Jewish Voice for Peace’s antisemitic “Deadly Exchange” campaign.

The NOBLE statement, issued by a nationally known police organization, doesn’t specifically mention “Deadly Exchange”, but it does express its full support for law enforcement exchange programs, including with Israel, because of the ways that they “improve public safety.” However, the GCOAIC statement, issued by a Native-American group based in Georgia, explicitly opposes the “anti-Israel false claims” made against U.S.-Israel police exchange programs by those who view them as “deadly exchange.” So, each of the statements in their own way lend further support from law enforcement and local community experts to prior criticisms that have been leveled at this obnoxious JVP campaign, including by academics who are otherwise staunch critics of Israel.
IfNotNow pickets Chabad on Shabbat in protest of ex-IDF soldier speaker
Several activists from the far-left organization IfNotNow picketed a Chabad Jewish Student Center in Austin, Texas, on Shabbat morning during prayer services because an ex-IDF soldier was scheduled to speak at an event being held there.

According to head of the Austin Chabad center Rabbi Zev Johnson, the IfNotNow protesters handed a flyer to his young children and invited the children to join their protest songs, and also videoed the attendees of the Chabad event, something which IfNotNow denies.

Chabad UT (University of Texas) organized a Shabbat lunch event on February 23 and invited former IDF soldier Leibel Mangel to speak about morality and combat in the Israeli army.

IfNotNow’s Austin chapter accused Mangel of “using the Holocaust to justify the occupation” on its Facebook page and said that “our historical trauma should not be exploited to justify the oppression of Palestinian people,” and so turned out to protest against the event.

Writing on the Chabad center’s website, Johnson said that the protest took place during the morning prayer service and not during Mangel’s speech, and noted that recording video of someone on Shabbat is prohibited by Jewish law.

“I’m not against protests, even if I disagree with the cause. But on Shabbat – during prayer services – really?” wrote Johnson. “There’s a time and place for protests. It would have been nice to see them show some respect while claiming to advocate dialogue, because there is none without the other.”
New BBC report on ‘White Helmets’ again amplifies falsehoods
The article is based on a filmed report by Nye shown on BBC television channels and a link is included. In that film Nye correctly tells viewers (from 2:35) that the White Helmets:

“…operate in rebel areas. When the Syrian regime and its allies falsely linked them to Al Qaeda they became targets for the Syrian regime…”

Nevertheless, later on in the written article, readers are provided with a link to one of the BBC’s reports from last July in which 30% of the word count was given over to amplification of that falsehood from the Assad regime.

“Khalil was one of 422 volunteers and family members who had to be rescued by the Israel Defense Forces following a request from the US, UK and other European nations, after they became trapped following a military offensive in July 2018.”

The BBC’s public purpose remit includes the obligation to “accurately and authentically” portray people of “different cultures” in the United Kingdom with the aim of contributing to “social cohesion”.

Quite how the BBC thinks its repeated amplification of a totalitarian regime’s falsehoods concerning these new UK residents contributes to social cohesion is of course a mystery.
U.N. Secretary-General: We’re seeing a ground swell of antisemitism
The United Nations plans to scale up its response to hate speech, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Monday as he warned against a rising tide of xenophobia, including antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred.

“Hate speech is a menace to democratic values, social stability and peace,” Guterres said as he spoke at the opening of the month-long UN Human Rights Council’s 40th session in Geneva. “We are seeing a ground swell of xenophobia, racism and intolerance, including rising antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred.”

Hate speech has spread “like wildfire through social media, the Internet, and conspiracy theories. It is abetted by a public discourse that stigmatizes women, minorities, migrants and refugees.”

“Hate is moving into the mainstream in liberal democracies and authoritarian states alike,” Guterres continued. “Political parties and leaders are cutting and pasting ideas from the fringes into their own propaganda and their campaigns. Parties once rightly considered pariahs are gaining influence over governments. With each broken norm, the pillars of humanities are weakened.”

“We have seen how the debate on human mobility has been poisoned with false narratives, linking refugees and migrants to terrorism and scapegoating them for many of society’s ills,” Guterres said.
Antisemitic hate-wave floods Europe: Poland, France, Spain and Greece
Fake ads bearing the Star of David were reported around Szczecin in north-west Poland on Monday, claiming that the buildings will soon be confiscated and handed over to Jewish owners.

In France, Jewish residents were singled out and their homes spray-painted with Stars of David and Neo-Nazi slurs. One resident, Oliver Feldman, said that “I fear for my wife, for my children, for my own safety…every day I ask if it’ll happen again,” Ynet reported. In addition, 100 gravestones were desecrated and spray-painted with Swastikas close to Strasbourg.

In Spain, Neo-Nazi symbols and slurs were painted on the homes of noted Jewish residents in Madrid, among the victims were Uri and Reot Hominer who are educators on behalf of the World Zionist Organization. The city of Madrid had the slurs cleaned and the local police is investigating the case.

In Greece, a Jewish school in Athens was spray-painted with antisemitic slurs.

“Jews want to get money from Poland,” said Polish parliament member and United Poland politician Arkadiusz Mularczyk in an interview to news-site wPolityce.pl over the weekend. “They [Jews] get a lot of money from Germany…now they decided it’s our turn,” he said.
Trial of Nazi death-camp guard stops due to health problems
The trial in Germany of a 95-year-old former guard at a Nazi death camp has been stopped because of the defendant's health problems, likely ending one of the last such prosecutions linked to the Holocaust.

The defendant, a German who cannot be named for legal reasons, is no longer considered to be fit to stand trial, partly due to heart problems, according to a medical report, a court in the western city of Muenster said on Monday.

The trial had been temporarily suspended since mid-December because of the defendant's ill health. The court intends to halt the trial for good following the new medical examination.

The court has given prosecutors, joint plaintiffs and the defense a chance to make a statement on the medical exam and is expected to make a final decision on the case around mid-March.

The defendant first appeared in court in Muenster in November accused of assisting in the murder of hundreds of people at a Nazi concentration camp during World War Two. A former guard in the SS paramilitary wing of Hitler's Nazis, he denied the charges.
Swastikas, Antisemitic Graffiti Found in Amsterdam Ahead of Sports Match
Swastikas and antisemitic graffiti have been scrawled on buildings in Amsterdam on Friday.

Fans of the soccer club ADO The Hague are suspected of carrying out the attack in a targeted message ahead of a Sunday match against rival Amsterdam club Ajax, who historically refer to themselves as the “Jews.” Ajax supporters like to refer to themselves as the Jews, or the super Jews, a nickname that has often led to antisemitic chanting by opposing fans.

Among the vandalized structures was the statue De Dokwerker, which commemorates a general strike in 1941 to protest the rounding up of Jews by the Nazi occupiers of the city during World War II.

Elsewhere in the city, walls have been sprayed with swastikas and with the letters JHK, or ”Jews have cancer.” The graffiti also stated that 020 is not welcome in 070—a reference to the two cities’ postal codes.

“As a club, we emphatically oppose these incomprehensible actions. It is disrespectful and sad,” wrote Mattijs Manders, general manager of ADO The Hague, on the club’s website.

The World Jewish Congress condemned the vandalism and called for punitive measures.
Residents of Small Canadian Town Shocked by Appearance of Swastika Flag
Residents of a small town on Prince Edward Island, Canada were stunned last week when a swastika flag was sighted prominently flying in a resident’s backyard.

Charlottetown resident David Mol, a child of refugees from Nazism, told CBC News, “The fact that that flag is flying, fluttering in the winds that blow across this big democratic country of ours is repulsive.”

“It’s a symbol of hate. There’s not one good thing that that symbol stands for,” Mol said of the swastika.

“I understand it’s not against the law, but it’s against the Island philosophy,” said Leo Mednick, president of the Prince Edward Island Jewish community. “I don’t think that’s the kind of place that we want to live in.”

“Some people may not understand the effect it has on people who’ve been through the Holocaust or had family members who passed away there,” he added, calling the swastika “a dagger to hurt people, to upset people.”

In response to the outcry, the local police force said they would speak with the owner of the property and try to persuade him to lower the offensive flag.

At some point on Friday, the flag was taken down and replaced with the flag of Prince Edward Island.
Polish Holocaust researchers attacked at Paris Shoah research conference
Polish researchers of the Holocaust were verbally attacked after a conference in Paris.

Professor Jacek Leociak from the Polish Academy of Sciences was insulted after leaving the School for Advanced Research in Social Sciences, or EHESS, where the conference was held, and he received death threats in online commentaries. A similar situation happened to Professor Jan Grabowski, who works at the University of Ottawa, when after leaving EHESS, a group of Poles called him a “a dirty Jew.”

Polish groups protested against organizing in Paris the conference, titled “The New Polish School of Historical Research on the Shoah,” because – according to the protesters – the activity of the speakers at the conference “bears a clear xenophobic and anti-Polish character.” Polish organizations do not accept the results of research carried out by historians, which indicate participation of some Poles in murdering Jews during the Holocaust.
Sisi: If Jews return to Egypt, we'll build synagogues
If Jews are interested in establishing a Jewish community in Egypt, the government will build synagogues and other communal institutions, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi told a US delegation during a two-hour meeting last week.

The delegation was made up of the Anwar Sadat Congressional Gold Medal Commission that advocated the granting of the US Congressional Gold Medal posthumously to the slain Egyptian president who made peace with Israel. Its members traveled to Egypt to invite Sisi to the ceremony in the fall, when the medal will be given to Sadat’s wife, Jehan.

The group was headed by the founder of the commission, Ezra Friedlander, an ultra-Orthodox consultant and lobbyist from New York who spearheaded efforts to have the award granted to Sadat. This required the passage of a bill that needed to be sponsored by two-thirds of Congress and was signed by US President Donald Trump in December.

“President Sisi spoke fondly not only of Egypt’s past vibrant Jewish community, but also said that should there be a resurgence of the Jewish community in Egypt, the government will provide every religious necessity required... that was a very warm embrace,” he said. “He [Sisi] basically said that should there be a resurgence of the Jewish community, the government will build synagogues and other related services.”
Israeli startups join firms making lab-grown ‘clean meat’
Several Israeli startups have joined a handful of companies around the globe trying to develop lab-grown meat, something they see as a solution to the needs of the world’s ever-growing population and burgeoning demand for food.

The product has been known under different names, including cultured meat, in-vitro or artificial and “clean meat” — a term advocates say underscores its environment-friendly nature. It’s basically made of animal muscle cells grown in a culture in a lab, a technology similar to stem cells.

And while “synthetic steaks” are perhaps not a candidate for everyone’s favorite dish, they could someday compete with conventional chicken or beef, an affordable price tag permitting.

“Producing meat is very inefficient,” said Yaakov Nahmias, a bio-engineering professor at the Hebrew University and founder of Future Meat Technologies. Cultured meat, by comparison, consumes “10 times less water, less land, less energy than the current meat production.”

Advocates say lab-grown meat is flavorful and better for the environment than conventional meat. They say it consumes less water, energy and land, produces less greenhouse gases and reduces animal suffering.
Israeli startup turns hummus (what else) to protein powder
Think of Israel, and your mind will probably wander to hummus pretty quickly. And for good reason too – the ubiquitous chickpea dip is delicious, healthful and can be eaten at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Think of Israel for another moment, and you might also remember that the country’s a vegan powerhouse.

So it really is only fitting that an Israeli company is harnessing the goodness of the humble chickpea to create a vegan-friendly protein.

The growing number of people in the Western world becoming vegan, vegetarian or “flexitarian” (choosing to cut down consumption of animal products) means that the demand for plant-based proteins is on the rise.

Many such products are already available, whether made from soy, peas or other legumes. But these products aren’t without their challenges – some, like soy, are highly allergenic, while others are genetically modified or not very sustainable to grow. Not to mention that some are an acquired taste.
Israel ranks No. 10 in 2019 Bloomberg Healthiest Country Index
Bloomberg on Monday released its 2019 edition of the Bloomberg Healthiest Country Index, ranking the Jewish State at No. 10.

Israel was ranked No. 9 in 2017.

According to the report, Spain ranked No. 1, becoming the world’s healthiest country. In 2017, Spain ranked No. 6.

Bloomberg ranks 169 countries according to the factors that contribute to overall health, such as life expectancy, obesity and access to clean water and sanitation.

The top 10 countries are Spain, Italy, Iceland, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, Norway and Israel.

Researchers say eating habits may provide a clue to the health levels enjoyed by Spain and Italy, which are similar to the eating habits of Israelis. These countries eat a mostly plant-based Mediterranean diet, lots of whole grains, legumes and nuts, and generally use olive or canola oils over butter or other fats.
Kim Kardashian West to Debut New Collection of Sunglasses With Israeli Company, Visit Israel Next Month
Kim Kardashian West will visit Israel next month to promote the debut of her new collaboration with Israeli eyewear brand Carolina Lemke.

The Israel-based sunglasses company is partnering with the makeup mogul and reality TV star to release a new sunglasses line next month. Called the Kim Kardashian West Collection for Carolina Lemke, every pair of sunglasses in the collection will retail for less than $100, according to Vogue magazine.

Kardashian West will be in Israel from March 19-21, The Jerusalem Post reported, and the sunglasses will be available for purchase on April 3 on Carolina Lemke’s website with an early presale at the end of March.

The collection marks the eyewear brand’s first expansion into the US market.

Kardashian West recently became a partner in Carolina Lemke and reportedly has plans for more releases under her name throughout 2019, Vogue reported. She told the magazine that her friend, Israeli model Bar Refaeli, who is also a Carolina Lemke partner, introduced her to the brand as well as Lorraine Schwartz, Kardashian West’s jeweler who is a fan of the eyewear company.
Israeli director Guy Nattiv’s ‘Skin’ wins Oscar for best live action short film
Israeli filmmaker Guy Nattiv’s short film “Skin” on Sunday won the Oscar for best live action short film, with the director crediting his Holocaust survivor grandparents for the motivation for the film on race relations.

“Oh my God, I moved here five years ago from Israel. Laila tov, Yisrael (Good night, Israel), hi,” he said as accepted the award.

“My grandparents are Holocaust survivors. The bigotry that they experienced in the Holocaust — we see that everywhere today, in America, in Europe. This film is about education, about teaching your kids a better way,” he said

The film is about a gang war that breaks out in a small town after a black man smiles at a white child at a supermarket.
