Al Mayadeen, a pro-Hezbollah Lebanese newspaper, implicitly discusses the previous article about Tunisian singer  Emel Mathlouthi who wanted to perform at an Arab venue in Haifa.

She said that she deliberately entered through the Jordanian border with a Palestinian visa stamp, and therefore was not normalizing with Israel in any way. She also said, "visiting a prisoner cannot be normalization with the jailer," saying that her planned concert "does not mean normalization, rather it is a form of resistance."

The article ridicules that position, saying that "the alleged 'permit' to enter Palestine is nothing but an Israeli visa, through a Palestinian agent." It calls it "normalization by proxy" and says that the only legitimate support for Palestinians is by arming them.

Throughout the essay, the one part that is not addressed is what Palestinians want.

The article is against Muslims visiting Al Aqsa or Christians visiting the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, because that is "normalization." But Jerusalem Arabs have consistently asked for Arab tourists to visit - because for many, this is their livelihood. And the same goes for Arabs who want to visit Bethlehem or Ramallah from Jordan.

Similarly, Palestinians would love to see Arab artists perform in the areas under their control, because that makes them feel less isolated from the Arab world.

Al Mayadeen, as well as many Arabs throughout the region, claim to be pro-Palestinian - but the opinions of Palestinians themselves are ignored.

This paradox can be explained very easily.

Trying to understand the conflict through the lens of people being "pro-Palestinian" brings up many similar paradoxes and contradictions. But when you adjust your glasses to translate "pro-Palestinian" into its real definition, "anti-Israel," then it all makes sense. Because to those who are anti-Israel, Palestinian opinion don't matter. Palestinians themselves don't matter unless they can be used as pawns for your own flavor of anti-Israelism.

Practically none of the opinion pieces and academic analyses in both the West and the Arab world about the conflict, with insane attempts to blame Israel for everything wrong in the region, would be much simplified when Arab actions are viewed in terms of their hatred of Israel rather than their pretense of caring about Palestinians.

It explains 1948 as well as it explains 2023.

And now just as then, Israel haters justify how they discard what Palestinian Arabs really want by claiming to know what's good for them better than they themselves do.

Susana Khalil describes herself as "Politologist and Researcher; Columnist and Activist; Founder of the Canaán Association."

She wrote a column in Al Mayadeen English today that is a love letter to murdering Jews.
By renouncing the armed struggle, part of an imaginary, Il Fidaí (Freedom fighter), was lost. The raison d'être of the Palestinian Liberation Cause was disfigured. It disfigured this sacred feeling, extinguished the burning fire of resistance, spoiled the sweetness of dignity, and erased poetry and memory. We have become objective, yet objectivity does not really exist, and we have become marketing, elegant submissives. We have lost our rebelliousness. Armed struggle is no guarantee of liberation, but neither is peaceful struggle. The two must operate as a weave, one and the other is one and the same. no one has the right to impose on the native Palestinian their way of struggle.
How can Israel dare oppose the sacred feeling of Palestinians as they blow up Jewish children in pizza shops? How monstrous is Israel to try to stop the sweetness of the dignity Palestinians experience when they shoot sniper bullets at the heads of infants? How unspeakably awful is Israel for trying to erase the poetry of butchering rabbis with machetes?

I've seen the worst terrorist supporters justify murdering Jews, and even claim that it is their human right. I've seen the worst mass murderers turned into heroes by Palestinian society. But until now, I never saw even the most depraved, disgusting, perverted supporter of terror wax poetic about how wonderful it is to perform the act of spilling Jewish blood itself.

You may ask what, exactly, is the Canaan Association which she founded? We don't know, but she describes it as a "human rights association in Venezuela."

Yes, this person whose highest aspiration is to see Jews brutally murdered is a self-described human rights activist.

David Miller, the crazed Jew-hater academic whose antisemitism got him fired from Bristol University, and whose slavish support for his Iranian paymasters and against freedom for women in Iran has turned off even his most ardent Leftist fans,  has written an article about the dangers of "hasbara."

His venue is the Hezbollah newspaper Al Mayadeen.

As with everything else Jewish, Miller sees nothing but conspiracies - dark, sinister conspiracies by the evil Hasbarists, controlled by Israel, working in concert for nefarious aims.

The Zionist entity has a myriad of ways to target audiences outside occupied Palestine. One time-honored approach is to send settler colonists from Palestine to spread the word as “Schlichim” or “emissaries” in what is referred to incorrectly as the “diaspora”, a term which implies, falsely, that all Jews have some connection to Palestine.
Yeah, why should daily prayers yearning to return to Zion indicate that Jews have a connection to Israel?

Miller gives lots of bogus examples of this Israeli-controlled Hasbara Central, including Digitell, conferences in Israel for pro-Israel activists that I attended. No, I never followed any instructions from Digitell; we shared ideas and data. How awful!

If you read his screed closely, you can see how most Israeli hasbara initiatives fell apart after a short time. If they were so all powerful, why don't most of them exist anymore?

In reality, every pro-Israel activist does their own thing. We are not instructed by anyone what to write about. There is no Hasbara Central.

When analysis turns into conspiracy theory, you know that the accusation is simple Jew hatred.

But Miller's final paragraph is most amusing:
There is no point in engaging with Zionist trolls. They are not interested in rational or good-faith debates.
Translated, this means, "You cannot win arguments with Zionists. They have proven that I am an antisemite many times and I cannot defend myself. So I want to make sure that the modern antisemites like me don't try to engage in public debate, because invariably it makes us look like idiots."

From the International Quran News Agency (Iran):

Yemen’s Defense Minister Nasser al-Atefi said the Zionist regime of Israel is in its worst condition and in a precarious situation.

He made the remark in a visit to a war zone in Ma’rib province, adding that given its shaky condition, Tel Aviv  is seeking to get the support of certain Arab regimes, Al-Mayadeen reported.

He added that the Arab regimes that are part of the Saudi-led coalition launching aggression on Yemen want to get support via normalization of ties with the Israeli regime.

Al-Atefi warned the coalition that if the scope of the aggression, siege and attacks on Yemen intensifies, the Yemeni people will rub their nose in the dirt.
Hey, he's an "expert!"

This is a typical article in Iranian media. Officials predict Israel's demise, just as they have been for decades. And if Israel is allying with Arab countries - it is just proof of how weak it is. (And before that happened, it was proof of how isolated Israel was.)
