I posted this small sanity check on Mahmoud Abbas on Twitter a couple of days ago.

From the Jerusalem Post:
Two women from Israel’s Ethiopian community broke through the glass ceiling on Tuesday, becoming the first to be appointed judges. They were among six women who were included in the 13 new judicial appointments as judges and registrars serving in the district, magistrate’s and traffic courts in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
Although there is no shortage of Ethiopian-Israeli lawyers, none had previously reached the bench.
At the appointments ceremony at the President’s Residence, Ednaki Sebhat Haimowitz and Esther Tafta Gardi were the last two judges to be called to make the pledge not to pervert the law or to show favor. Haimowitz has been appointed to the Central District Magistrate’s Court, and Gardi to the Haifa District Traffic Court.

I already showed how Mahmoud Abbas claimed, quite falsely, that Israel violated international law by defending itself in 1948 from being destroyed by Arabs - and reaching what became known as the Green Line.
But that was far from the only lie in his speech. I made a poster illustrating another one:
The entire paragraph that includes this lie among many is worth quoting:
We continue our efforts to build the foundations of a culture of peace among our people. (1) We stand against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations (2) and we condemn it by whomever and wherever (3). ...We support the efforts to confront terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and violence,(4) and appeal to stand united against terrorism, which knows no religion (5). In this context, I wish to reaffirm once again that there is no way to defeat terrorism and extremism and achieve security and stability in our region without ending the Israeli occupation of Palestine (6) and ensuring the freedom and independence of the Palestinian people. (7)
1. Look at Palestinian Media Watch. Look at Abbas' statements inciting violence against Jews who visit their own holiest site. Look at how the official PA media celebrates terror. Look at how Abbas pays salaries to terrorists. Look at how PA school textbooks do not say a word about peace with Israel.
2. See poster.
3. Abbas does not condemn Arab youths stabbing Israelis - he justifies it.
4. Abbas' Fatah still has a terror group that brags about its rockets aimed at civilians, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade.
5. Virtually every terror act in the Middle East (which is the context he was speaking of) is done in the name of Islam.
6. Since every map of "Palestine" under his control shows all of Israel, he is saying that Israel has no right to exist.
7. Abbas is falsely claiming "linkage" - that ISIS wouldn't exist without Israel. He is also threatening the world by saying that unless he is satisfied with a peace plan, he will not do anything to stop Middle East terrorists from murdering their fellow Arabs.
That's a lot of lies. If only reporters cared enough about the truth to actually fact check Mahmoud Abbas with the same enthusiasm that they pretend to fact-check Netanyahu.
We have lots of ideas, but we need more resources to be even more effective. Please donate today to help get the message out and to help defend Israel.

A Christian Arab-Israeli ballet dancer, Abu Hanna told reporters she is “proud to be an Israeli Arab,” noting, “If I had not been in Israel and had been elsewhere — in Palestine or in any other Arab country — I might have been oppressed or I might have been in prison or murdered.”

From Israel Hayom:
Security Minister Gilad Erdan plans to establish new division within the Israel police force that will be tasked with promoting law enforcement in Israel's Arab sector and recruiting Arab Israelis to serve in the police force.
Assistant Commissioner Jamal Hakroush is set to head the new division and will become the first Muslim Arab in the history of Israel to rise to the rank of deputy commissioner.
Hakroush currently serves as the Deputy Chief Officer of the Coastal Police District. He was the first Arab-Muslim to receive the rank of assistant commissioner, and also the first to serve as a deputy chief officer.

UPDATE: In the comments Bob Knot note that Hanna accuses Israel of "pinkwashing" and calls himself a Palestinian. Yet he can still become an important member of Israeli society even with his noxious views about his country - and there are others in this series who are far more anti-Israel.
It all goes to prove even more how Israel is not an apartheid state.

From TOI:
The Israeli cabinet on Sunday unanimously approved the appointment of an Arab woman, attorney Mariam Kabha, as national commissioner for equal employment opportunities within the Economy Ministry. All posters in the series can be seen here.
“This is an appointment with high symbolic and practical importance. We have two major missions in the field of employment – to increase employment among Arab women and ultra-Orthodox men. This appointment will serve to achieve a national goal. Mariam Kabha is capable and deserving, and I wish her success,” said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Sunday’s appointment makes Kabha the highest ranking Arab female in the civil service, business website Globes reported.
A search committee headed by Amit Lang, director general of the Economy Ministry, had been searching for a replacement for attorney Tziona Koenig-Yair, who served in the position for the past seven years.
Kabha was chosen for the position from among 60 candidates.

Abbas liar, Poster
The official Fatah Facebook page published "an important announcement" heaping praise on the current wave of attacks on Jews.
It is couched in religious terms, starting off with "In the name of Allah the Merciful: The Almighty said: 'And We desired to show favor unto those who were oppressed in the earth, and to make them examples and to make them the inheritors.'"
The article then went on to praise Mahmoud Abbas for his speech on September 30 at the UN General Assembly, which was, in their words, "the launch of a new phase is in the development of the decisions of the [Fatah] Central Council into action, activating the popular resistance on the ground, in conjunction with the diplomatic offensive and political fights in all arenas of the United Nations and international organizations."
The Fatah announcement ends off with "It's a revolution until victory ... until victory ... until victory."
And it then shows this photo of a young woman wearing a headband for a youth organization in Fatah called "The Sisters of Dalal," referring to terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who was responsible for murdering 38 Israelis including 13 children.
The choice of Abbas' September 30 speech as the launching point of the murder spree is significant. The very next day was the day that Eitam and Na'ama Henkin were murdered.
Palestinian newspapers are quoting this statement.
At the same time that the media is claiming that Abbas is condemning violence, the organization that he leads is bragging that he is inspiring the murders of Jews.

The historic speech of the President in the UN constituted a turning point and a new dawn which manifested itself in the popular uprising, “The Rage of Jerusalem”, that started in the capital Jerusalem and expanded to Hebron and (to the other) the provinces of the homeland, in a heroic and spectacular implementation which restored to the national cause its radiance and status, as all the crimes of the occupation failed to hurt it and deter it, and the popular uprising even succeeded in spreading terror and bringing about a lack of personal security for the colonists, and the streets of Jerusalem and the Palestinian (West) Bank became places of constant friction and clashes…

This blog may be a labor of love for me, but it takes a lot of effort, time and money. For over 11 years and over 22,000 articles I have been providing accurate, original news that would have remained unnoticed. I've written hundreds of scoops and sometimes my reporting ends up making a real difference. I appreciate any donations you can give to keep this blog going.
