From Dhimmi Watch

Muslims rule major Swedish city

An exclusive series of translations from the Swedish press, made for Jihad Watch by Ali Dashti, who writes:

Sweden is one of the worst hit countries in Europe of Muslim immigration and Political Correctness. Now, the police themselves have publicly admitted that they no longer control one of Sweden's major cities. I have made some exclusive translations from Swedish media. They show the future of Eurabia unless Europeans wake up.

I’ve seen the future of Eurabia, and it’s called 'Sweden.' Malmø is Sweden’s third largest city, after Stockholm and Gothenburg. Once-peaceful Sweden, home of ABBA, IKEA and the Nobel Prize, is increasingly looking like the Middle East on a bad day.

All following links to major Swedish newspapers, with a brief translation:

Malmø, Sweden. The police now publicly admit what many Scandinavians have known for a long time: They no longer control the situation in the nations's third largest city. It is effectively ruled by violent gangs of Muslim immigrants. Some of the Muslims have lived in the area of Rosengård, Malmø, for twenty years, and still don't know how to read or write Swedish. Ambulance personnel are attacked by stones or weapons, and refuse to help anybody in the area without police escort. The immigrants also spit at them when they come to help. Recently, an Albanian youth was stabbed by an Arab, and was left bleeding to death on the ground while the ambulance waited for the police to arrive. The police themselves hesitate to enter parts of their own city unless they have several patrols, and need to have guards to watch their cars, otherwise they will be vandalized. "Something drastic has to be done, or much more blood will be spilled" says one of the locals.

The number of people emigrating from the city of Malmø is reaching record levels. Swedes, who a couple of decades ago decided to open the doors to Muslim "refugees" and asylum seekers, are now turned into refugees in their own country and forced to flee their homes. The people abandoning the city mention crime and fear of the safety of their children as the main reason for leaving.

http://w1.sydsvenskan.se/Article.jsp?article=10090830

ALL of the 600 windows at one of the schools in Malmø have been broken during the summer holiday. Window smashing alone costs the city millions every year. City buses have been forced to avoid the immigrant ghetto, as they are met with youths throwing rocks or bottles at them if they enter. Earlier this year, a boy of Afghan origin had made plans to blow up his own school.

http://w1.sydsvenskan.se//Article.jsp?article=10093267

People working at the emergency ward at the major hospital in Malmø receive threats every day, and are starting to get used to it. Patients with knives or guns are commonplace. They have discussed having metal detectors at the emergency entrance, but some fear this could be seen as a provocation.

Lisa Nilsson has lived in Manhatten, New York City, for 25 years. After moving back to Malmø, Sweden, she now misses the safety of New York. She never walks anywhere in Malmø after dark, but takes a taxi everywhere she goes.

Rapes in Sweden as a whole have increased by 17% just since the beginning of 2003, and have had a dramatic increase during the past decade. Gang rapes, usually involving Muslim immigrant males and native Swedish girls, have become commonplace. Two weeks ago, 5 Kurds brutally raped a 13-year-old Swedish girl.

22-year-old Swedish woman going out for fresh air gang raped by three strange men. The only said one word to her: "Whore!"

Ali Dashti comments: "Stories like this are in Swedish newspapers every week. Swedish media usually take great care not to mention the ethnic background of the perpetrators, but you can usually read it between the lines."

A Russian's plans for a Sept 11 anniversary 'terror concert,' starring a female singer dressed as a suicide bomber, were thwarted on Thursday when outrage in the wake of the Beslan school massacre led to its cancellation.

A fierce-looking girl clad in a burqa-style black dress -- dubbed the 'Little Suicide Bomber' by the media -- was to sing about Muslim hardships on Saturday, three years since the plane attacks on U.S. cities that killed around 3,000 people.

Tickets to the show were made to look like plane tickets, the Izvestia daily said.

'The concert has been canceled ... Who in his right mind would agree to stage it after all that has happened in Russia?' said a spokeswoman for the venue, the House of Unions Hall.

The Beslan school siege, in which more than 300 children and adults died last week, was Russia's bloodiest hostage crisis. It was the latest in a string of attacks blamed on Chechen rebels including two plane crashes and a suicide bombing in Moscow.

Ivan Shapovalov, the impresario behind the pop duo Tatu whose lesbian schoolgirl image courted controversy, said he cared little about what Russians might think about his show which he called the 'terror concert.'

'If people are scared by a woman wearing a black headscarf, that means they are sick themselves,' he told Izvestia.

Shapovalov did not confirm the concert had been canceled.

'The venue organizers have not told us about the cancellation. We don't know what's going on. They didn't even let us rehearse,' an aide said.

Music videos around the world are intended for children's entertainment.
But the Palestinian Authority (PA) uses music videos as a tool to promote
hatred and violence among Palestinian children. In recent months, PA TV has
increased the frequency of hate broadcasting aimed at children.

One example of this escalation is the repeated broadcast this month of a
30-second music video depicting Israeli soldiers as cold-blooded murderers.

In this fictitious scene, children are seen playing soccer, while actors
portraying Israeli soldiers wearing yarmulkes (skullcaps) watch them from
the side. Suddenly one of the soldiers moves over to the children and,
after attempting to steal the ball, hits one of the children. The other
children turn against the soldier and chase him away. He then grabs his
automatic rifle, takes careful aim and fires at the children.
Other fictitious PA hate videos directed at children include:

- Scenes of children playing soccer when the ball explodes in their faces;

- A girl on a swing who turns into a burning inferno;

- Soldiers throwing an old man to the ground and then shooting him in the
head;

- A blind infant carried by his mother; when she is murdered by Israeli
soldiers, they fall to the ground together;

- and many others.

The result of all this hate indoctrination is a generation of Palestinian
children who have been convinced by the PA leadership that Israel is
intentionally murdering civilians, especially children. The PA is creating
for its children a moral equivalence between PA terror, which deliberately
targets civilians in buses and cafes, and Israel's defensive war, in which
some civilians have been inadvertently killed. This hate promotion is
creating a generation of children who are filled with hatred for Israelis,
and who see killing Israelis as legitimate because they are convinced that
Israel is also targeting civilians.

The more this hate promotion continues, the more entrenched the Palestinian
children's hatred becomes, and the bleaker the prospects for peace in the
next generation.

Running through the eastern edge of the Jabaliya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip is a sandy track called Sikkert Street. All through the day, it was a dangerous place to be.

Israeli troops had taken up a position at one end. Every few minutes they sent bursts of machine gun fire up the road.

Taking cover at the corners were Palestinian militants. They were armed and they wore masks. Most were from the Hamas movement.

And crowding around the fighters were large numbers of Jabaliya's teenagers and boys - some no more than eight or nine years old.

With a mixture of defiance and bravado and stupidity, they peered around the walls at the Israelis. Some would step out into the street, and then scramble for cover when the machine guns roared."

VIENNA (Reuters) -
Iran is using negotiations with the European Union's 'big three' on suspending sensitive nuclear activities to buy the time it needs to get ready to make atomic weapons,
an Iranian exile and intelligence officials said.

With intelligence sources saying Iran could be months away from nuclear weapons capability, the United States wants Iran reported to the U.N. Security Council immediately, charging Tehran uses its civilian atomic energy program as a front to develop the bomb. Tehran vehemently denies the charge.

France, Britain and Germany want to avoid isolating Iran and have taken a go-slow approach, negotiating with Iran to suspend uranium enrichment activities.

'Iran continues to use existing differences between the U.S. and Europe to their advantage and tries to drag out talks with the EU to buy time,' Alireza Jafarzadeh, an Iranian exile who has reported accurately on Iran's nuclear program in the past, told Reuters.

'They feel they have bought at least 10 months,' Jafarzadeh said. He said he was citing sources in Iran familiar with the results of a recent high-level meeting on Iran's nuclear program attended by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Jafarzadeh said officials at the meeting also decided to allocate an additional $2 billion from Iran's central bank reserves to supplement some $14 billion already spent on what he called Iran's 'secret nuclear weapons program.'

The EU trio has expressed disappointment at Iran's failure to keep promises it made in October to suspend all activities related to the enrichment of uranium, a process of purifying it for use as fuel for atomic power plants or in weapons. But the three remain committed to a process of engagement with Tehran.

However an intelligence official said a failure to act now as Washington would like, could be decisive for the development of an Iranian nuclear weapons capability.

'The Europeans express helplessness, despair and lack of strategy, which is exactly what (the Iranians) want to hear,' a senior non-U.S. intelligence official said.

'This is their golden opportunity, between now and the coming of a new (U.S.) administration.'"

After 31 years, the FBI has opened an investigation into the involvement of Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat in the murders of two U.S. diplomats in Sudan in 1973,
WorldNetDaily has learned.

FBI agents are now gathering evidence about Arafat's culpability in a March 1, 1973, operation in which eight members of the Black September terrorist organization, part of Arafat's Fatah faction of the PLO, stormed the Saudi embassy in Khartoum, reportedly on Arafat's orders, taking U.S. Ambassador Cleo Noel, diplomat Charge d'Affaires George Curtis Moore and others hostage, and one day later, killing Noel, Moore and Belgian diplomat Guy Eid.

Two agents from FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., Bill McDermott and Kathleen Reed, recently flew to Portland, Ore., to interview James J. Welsh, the National Security Agency's Palestinian analyst at the time of the murders.

Welsh has said he intercepted a transmission from Arafat involving an imminent operation in Khartoum, and charges the NSA has had tapes of Arafat ordering the executions, a story first reported by WND in 2001.

"They called me and said they are reopening an old murder investigation," Welsh told WND. "I met with the agents for several hours, gave them a detailed account of everything that happened, and handed over to them original copies of a lot of materials and correspondence I have accumulated over the years. They were supposed to return my things, but I'm still waiting."

Welsh says he detailed for the agents the communication he intercepted from Yasser Arafat, and how within minutes, the director of the NSA was notified and a decision was made to send a rare "FLASH" message – the highest priority – to the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum via the State Department warning of a possible attack.

But Welsh recalled the message didn't reach the embassy in time. Somewhere between the NSA and the State Department, someone decided the warning was too vague, and the alert was downgraded in urgency.

The next day, the Black September operation took place, and after 26 hours of intense negotiations – the gunmen demanded the freeing from Jordan of many Palestinians, including Abu Daoud, a leader of the Black September Organization; the release of Sirhan Sirhan, Robert Kennedy's assassin, from jail in California; and the liberation of "Palestinian women in prison in Israel" – the two U.S. diplomats were murdered.

Many have claimed that Arafat personally sent an order of execution to the terrorists via radio broadcast: "Why are you waiting? The people's blood in the Cold River cries for vengeance." "Cold River" was reportedly the code word for executing the captives. Supposed NSA recordings of that call have disappeared.

Arafat reportedly then ordered the eight gunmen to surrender peacefully to the Sudanese authorities. Two were released for "lack of evidence." Later, in June 1973, the other six were found guilty of murdering the diplomats. They were sentenced to life imprisonment, but released 24 hours later to the PLO.

During their trial, commander Salim Rizak, also known as Abu Ghassan, told the court: "We carried out this operation on the orders of the Palestine Liberation Organization and should only be questioned by that organization."

Sudanese Vice President Mohammed Bakir said after questioning the six: "They relied on radio messages from Beirut Fatah headquarters, both for the order to kill the three diplomats and for their own surrender Sunday morning."

Over the years, there have been reports the Israelis also had tapes of Arafat ordering the executions, and that Jerusalem provided copies to President Nixon.

Sources in Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's office told WND Israeli intelligence provided evidence proving Arafat's culpability in the murders to the U.S. State Department and White House in March 1973. Sharon also publicly stated in 1995 that Israel shared this evidence with the U.S.

BETHLEHEM -
Israeli soldiers blew up a bomb hidden by militants in a Muslim cemetery in Bethlehem yesterday,
prompting an outcry by Palestinians who said the graveyard had been desecrated.

Israel said the militants were to blame for the damage when troops detonated the bomb concealed in an empty grave.

The location is especially sensitive as it is near Rachel’s Tomb, a flashpoint West Bank shrine that is Judaism’s holiest site.

“We didn’t desecrate a cemetery. We neutralised a bomb,” said army spokesman Jacob Dallal.

But the explosion also destroyed the nearby grave of a 60-year-old Palestinian and rankled the nerves of local people who said the soldiers had violated the sanctity of Bethlehem’s only Muslim cemetery.

The head of Bethlehem’s Islamic Waqf, which oversees the cemetery, said even the presence of a bomb would not justify the army’s actions.

Between your ridiculous lead-off of the Israeli spy "scandal" which has gone nowhere, to your being completely snookered by the obviously forged documents about Bush's National Guard service, CBS News has gone from the crown jewel of the once-"Tiffany Network" to a laughingstock. This is far worse than the scandals at the New York Times and if there isn't a serious shakeup at your news division, your credibility will have evaporated to National Enquirer levels.

REDONDO BEACH, Calif., Aug. 26, 2004 -- The Tactical High Energy Laser, built by Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) for the U.S. Army, shot down multiple mortar rounds Aug. 24, proving that laser weapons could be applied on the battlefield to protect against common threats.

In tests representative of actual mortar threat scenarios, the THEL testbed destroyed both single mortar rounds and mortar rounds fired in a salvo at White Sands Missile Range, N.M.

The tests were conducted by the Army as part of the Mobile THEL (MTHEL) program. The MTHEL program is the responsibility of the SHORAD Project Office under the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office for Air, Space, and Missile Defense. The purpose of the MTHEL program is to develop and test the first mobile Directed Energy weapon system capable of detecting, tracking, engaging, and defeating Rockets/Artillery/Mortars (RAM), cruise missiles, short-range ballistic missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The Army is collaborating with the Israeli Ministry of Defense in the execution of the MTHEL program.

'These successful tests once again prove the versatility of the THEL testbed to counter a wide range of threats, particularly low-tech weapons like mortars,' said Patrick Caruana, vice president of Space and Missile Defense for Northrop Grumman Space Technology. 'For the first time, we have a way to protect our forces, and those of our allies, against almost daily mortar attacks. Together with the U.S. Army, we have overcome the technical hurdles and we're ready to move laser weapons onto the battlefield.'

As the nation's only laser weapon, the THEL testbed has shot down a variety of threats since 2000, showing its versatility by destroying about three dozen targets, ranging from Katyusha rockets to artillery shells and large-caliber rockets, and now mortar threats as well.

'In the foreseeable future, MTHEL is the only directed energy program we can depend on to counter threats posed by rockets, artillery and mortar rounds,' said Joe Shwartz, MTHEL program manager for Northrop Grumman Space Technology. 'The MTHEL prototype, when developed, will put directed energy into the warfighters' hands as early as possible. MTHEL could serve as a pathfinder for the Army to incorporate directed energy into its plans because it offers all the building blocks required to insert speed-of-light technology into the U.S. Army's Future Combat System and Future Force architectures.'

The THEL demonstrator was designed, developed and produced by a Northrop Grumman-led team of U.S. and Israeli contractors for the U.S. Space & Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., and the Israeli Ministry of Defense. The THEL demonstrator has evolved to the THEL testbed for the MTHEL program. In addition to Northrop Grumman's Space Technology and Mission Systems sectors, U.S. companies involved in testbed development are Ball Aerospace, Boulder, Colo., and Brashear LP, Pittsburgh, Pa. Israeli companies that supported THEL ACTD development are Electro-Optic Industries, Ltd., Rehovot; Israel Aircraft Industries, Ltd., Yehud Industrial Zone; RAFAEL, Haifa; and Tadiran, Holon.

Northrop Grumman Space Technology, based in Redondo Beach, Calif., develops a broad range of systems at the leading edge of space, defense and electronics technology. The sector creates products for U.S. military and civilian customers that contribute significantly to the nation's security and leadership in science and technology.

Retired lawyer Mohammed al-Amir Atta has had three years to hone the attacking style he's adopted as a defense against what he maintains are spurious charges his son was the lead September 11 hijacker.

The attacks were a Jewish conspiracy carried out by the Israeli intelligence service, not a plot by Islamic extremists including his son, the elder Atta declared in an interview with The Associated Press. Moreover, he added, the United States deserved the devastating result because of its anti-Arab policies.

Still, Atta is unwilling to answer direct questions about his son, as became apparent when he's asked about a large photograph on his living room wall showing his son relaxed, so unlike the somber passport photo broadcast around the world after September 11, 2001.

'Sons are dear,' is all he will say.

Atta no longer claims his son is still alive, even though he once said his son had called him the day after the attack from an undisclosed destination.

The younger Mohammed Atta was named in FBI and congressional reports as the suicide pilot of the first plane to crash into the World Trade Center and the leader of the 19 Arabs who carried out the September 11 attacks.

In a videotape months after the attacks, al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden himself described the 33-year-old Atta as being 'in charge of the group' that struck America.

Today, the elder Atta and many Arabs place the blame for terrorism on what they say are the conditions that fuel militants' anger, not on the militants themselves. 'No nation has done as much evil in the world as America did, and you do not expect God to punish it?' he asked.

'If a Palestinian flies a plane and strikes the White House and kills [US President George W.] Bush, his wife and his daughters, he will go to heaven,' Atta said. 'So will any Muslim who defends his faith.'

Despite his religious rhetoric, Atta smokes and has decorated his apartment with statues of Buddha, actions few devout Muslims would accept."

To listen to John Kerry, many of the conflicts plaguing the Middle East could be resolved if President Bush were more willing to work with our European allies and the United Nations.
Reality, to put it mildly, is very different — a point American officials are experiencing firsthand in trying to persuade Syrian strongman Bashar Assad to change his ways.

Example No. 1 is Lebanon, a country occupied by 17,000 Syrian troops and a haven for Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations. On Thursday, the U.N. Security Council passed Resolution 1559, which called for the removal of all foreign forces from Lebanon. The resolution — hammered out by American and French delegates — was widely portrayed as evidence that Washington and its allies are working together to change Syria's behavior. The following day, however, Damascus reminded the international community of the limited utility of Security Council resolutions, when the Syrian-dominated Lebanese Parliament voted 96-29 to amend the country's constitution to extend the term of President Emile Lahoud, a Syrian puppet, by three years.
Reality also reared its ugly head on the question of U.S.-European cooperation in deterring Syrian-sponsored terrorism against Israel. On Wednesday, Hamas suicide bombers struck a pair of Israeli commuter buses in Beersheba killing 16 people. When Israel, noting that Hamas is based in Damascus, threatened to target leaders of that terrorist group (causing several to go underground), the Jewish state was warned not to by European Union foreign-policy boss Javier Solana, who declared that an Israeli retaliatory strike would "complicate" the situation.
Eleven months ago, Israel launched retaliatory raids against several terrorist bases in Syria after Palestinian Islamic Jihad, another Syrian-backed terrorist group, killed 21 people in a suicide bombing at a restaurant. The raids were the first Israeli military attack conducted on Syrian territory since the 1973 Yom Kippur War. (For good measure, Israeli warplanes buzzed Mr. Assad's house, to remind him that Israel has the military capability to throttle Syria.) So, Mr. Assad, in an interview published yesterday, says he wants to renew peace talks with Israel. For its part, Israel replies that it won't negotiate until Mr. Assad expels Hamas — which he refuses to do.
Syria's support of terrorism against Israel, of course, is just part of the problem. Along with its ally, Iran, Damascus has played an integral role in supporting the terrorist insurgency in Iraq, and it has provided safe haven for Abu Musab Zarqawi. In Mr. Assad's hands, Syria's stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons and its ballistic-missile capability already force any potential foe to think twice about retaliating for any act of state-sponsored terror. And this Syrian deterrent capability could be growing. The Los Angeles Times recently reported that international investigators are examining whether Syria acquired nuclear technology through the black-market network operated by Pakistani weapons scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Contrary to Mr. Kerry's worldview, U.N. resolutions and cooperation from the EU will play marginal roles at best in changing Syrian behavior. Unless Mr. Assad is credibly made to fear that he could meet the same fate as Saddam Hussein, Damascus' conduct won't change at all.
