Consider the situation in Britain. Last month, US President Donald Trump paid a visit to the US’s closest ally. The Red-Green alliance of the Left and the Muslims was beside itself. Its queer, feminist, jihadist and animal rights members banded together to organize a major demonstration against Trump in London.
As British Jewish writer and activist David Collier documented on his website, two aspects of the demonstrations stood out. First the marchers weren’t against Trump. They were anti-American.
As far as they were concerned, Trump is just a manifestation of America’s inherent evilness. His predecessor Barack Obama was also terrible.
The second notable aspect of the supposedly anti-Trump, Red-Green rally in London was the prevalence of anti-Israel messages. Collier posted videos of crowds at every corner happily shouting out chants calling for Israel to be destroyed, (“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free,”) and supporting Hamas, (“From Palestine to Mexico, racist walls have got to go!”).
It’s worth asking how the protesters at an antiTrump rally naturally gravitated towards anti-American and antisemitic messages.
Why did the people who supposedly hate Trump snap up “Free Gaza” stickers like hotcakes? What possesses British feminists to support a jihadist regime that routinely attacks Israel for no reason and treats women like property? The answer is simple enough. They aren’t thinking. They are following.

Harris’ irresponsible use of unverifiable and unsubstantiated atrocity stories prompted the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting to express their outrage to the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts where Gayle Harris serves as Suffragan Bishop. In response to these complaints, the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts issued a statement on Aug. 9, 2018. In this statement, Rt. Reverend Harris admitted that she did not personally witness the events she described to her fellow bishops on July 13, 2018 but was passing on what she had heard from others during her trips to Israel.
She does not say who these sources are, nor does she provide any other confirmatory details.
The municipality of Malmö uses taxpayers' money to support "Group 194," an organization that posts anti-Semitic images on its Facebook page -- such as a defamatory cartoon portraying a Jew drinking blood and eating a child.
In Sweden, imported Middle Eastern anti-Semitism is funded by taxpayer money, so when scandals occur, they are often addressed by the same people who have participated in spreading its message.
No effective actions are currently being taken against the spread of anti-Semitism in Sweden.
Just as European anti-Semitism was defeated by rejecting and condemning the ideology after World War II and isolating its proponents, so must Sweden's "new" anti-Semitism be defeated by isolating its advocates and marginalizing all organizations spreading its ideas. This means that all direct and indirect government funding of these organizations has to end. As long as this does not happen, Jews in Sweden will continue living in fear and insecurity.

Speaking to Radio France on Thursday, Daniel Knoll observed that when “I see what is developing, it leaves me very afraid.”
Rising antisemitism represents a “real danger to the Jews of Europe,” Knoll remarked. “I’m always thinking that we’ll unfortunately have to consider leaving one day,” he said — though he took care to add that his view was not shared by his older brother, Alain.
The two men who assaulted Mrs. Knoll — 28-year-old Yacine Mihoub, a neighbor of Mrs. Knoll’s since his childhood, and his associate Alex Carrimbacus, 21 — are currently awaiting trial on a charge of murder aggravated by antisemitism.
In his confession to police, Carrimbacus alleged that Mihoub had spoken to him before the crime about “the Jews” and their supposed wealth, and that he had yelled the words “Allahu akhbar” as he stabbed Mrs. Knoll in her throat.
The brutal murder of Mrs. Knoll — who escaped the 1942 Vel d’Hiv deportation of Jews from Paris by the Nazis and the French police, and was later married to a survivor of Auschwitz — was a further example of the notoriously violent antisemitism that French Jews have been subjected to for over a decade.
In an article titled "Rescue Your Descendants, Don't Avenge Your Ancestors" in the Saudi London-based daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, the paper's editor-in-chief, Ghassan Charbel, wrote that instead of clinging to the glorious accomplishments in Muslim history, the Arabs should learn from the countries of Europe, which, after two world wars that destroyed them, chose peaceful coexistence and cooperation, thus achieving prosperity and political stability. "The more you try to escape it, [as you are] en route from San Francisco to Paris, the more the question arises in your mind: 'When will the Arab have a modern, contemporary city that takes part in creating its future? When will he have a city that is full of life, that has a developed economy, educational [system], and services – a city [in which] the citizen can live an ordinary life, that meets his needs and respects him as a human being?
"In San Francisco, you have the sense that the future of the world is being built here, with tremendous investment, unbridled imagination, and exceptional ability to invent and develop. It is as if the people of these great societies are the poets of the future, creating a reality that once seemed impossible, expanding the borders of intelligence and knowledge, and changing the economy and the lives of the people, the culture, and all aspects of life on the face of the earth.
"The wars for the future are waged aggressively and uncompromisingly; the numbers have no mercy, you must succeed and you must profit. Failure means dropping out of the race. The failure of your society means that it will disappear... Only the best swimmer and creator of ideas avoids [drowning in] the waves; [there is] no [room] for softness or laziness...

Senior administration officials describe the plan as detailed, pragmatic, and essentially complete. All that prevents them from publishing it is their sense that the timing is off.
They are waiting for some ripe moment to present itself – perhaps when the Palestinian leadership decides to give the administration a second chance after writing it off for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last year. But such a moment seems unlikely any time soon. The Palestinian Authority, which has not seen the plan, says that Trump’s peace team has given every indication that its contents will reflect bias in favor of Israel by sidestepping explicit references to a two-state solution, dismissing refugee claims, endorsing a permanent Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley, allowing Jewish settlers to remain in the West Bank and remaining silent on the future placement of a sovereign Palestinian capital.
There are reasons to believe they are right. While the White House insists that its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital does not predetermine sovereignty over the entire city in an eventual peace agreement, it has never explicitly stated, as it did with Israel in December, that Palestinians have a reciprocal right to a capital in the holy city – or to any capital at all.
They have removed all reference to a two-state solution, to Palestinian independence or Palestinian territories from State Department language, dismissing those terms as “meaningless” without yet spelling out alternatives. And they have defunded the UN Relief and Works Agency, characterizing the Palestinian aid organization as a corrupt and inefficient body perpetuating a false narrative on refugees unhelpful to the pursuit of peace.
“The traditional core issues are essential and we focus on them extensively with a strong appreciation of the historic differences between the two sides,” Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser leading the peace effort, told the Palestinian Al-Quds newspaper in June. “We are committed to finding a package of solutions that both sides can live with.”
But, he added: “Simply resolving core issues without creating a pathway to a better life will not lead to a durable solution.”
U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley was right to lead efforts over the past year to reform the United Nations Human Rights Council, a 47-nation body that suffers a credibility deficit, with its work often marked by selectivity and politicization.Haley: New human rights chief must address UNHRC failures, Israel bias
Haley urged the council to improve its membership standards, and to end its singular focus on Israel. After a year of diplomatic prodding, she realized the will wasn’t there. On June 19, the United States decided to withdraw its membership.
Several activist groups close to the United Nations lobbied member states to oppose the U.S. withdrawal. Afterward, in an op-ed in The Hill, Human Rights Watch (HRW) director Ken Roth expressed outrage that Haley called out his organization and Amnesty International for having sided with Russia and China in blocking the proposed reform.
Roth is wrong to whitewash the council’s betrayal of its mission, and to suggest that HRW and Amnesty are above reproach.
Interestingly, in a five-year period, Roth completely switched his position. “Imagine a jury,” he wrote in 2001, speaking of the U.N.’s old Commission on Human Rights, “that includes murderers and rapists, or a police force run in large part by suspected murderers and rapists who are determined to stymie investigation of their crimes.”

Zeid continued, “From many of his statements, you would be forgiven for thinking he considered Hamas a welfare, not a terrorist, organization. During his tenure, the HRC became a theater of the absurd, with hypocrisy and double standards rampant among its proceedings and reports.”
UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer said he was concerned by Bachelet’s support for governments with known records of human rights abuses.
"There's no question that the former Chilean president is a highly educated and intelligent politician, who also brings important negotiating skills. But she has a controversial record when it comes to her support for the human rights abusing governments who rule Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and we need to know how she plans to address these urgent situations before her nomination is voted upon,” Neuer said.
In the past she has issued positive statements about former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and former Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, Neuer said adding that she has also been silent on the killings in Nicaragua.

The U.N. official – Michael Lynk, special rapporteur for human rights in the Palestinian territories – also said that other nations may need to 'review their relationships with Israel in the military, political, and economic investment spheres.'
If Lynk's denunciation of Israel was just the sentiment of one hate-filled U.N. official that would be bad enough.
But in truth, Lynk's threat of international action to possibly suspend or even expel Israel from the U.N., isolate it, and cut off trade and investment is just one in a long list of examples of how the U.N. has targeted Israel for decades with hatred, discrimination, prejudice and absurd lies.
This is truly bullying of a small nation on an international scale.

Welcome to the twilight world of the United Nations Relief & Works Agency (UNRWA) – the unique UN agency, supported largely with annual infusions of hundreds of millions of American taxpayer dollars, which relentlessly and falsely expands Palestinian-Arab refugee numbers.

It may well be "pro-Palestinian" to demand that Jews give up their hard-won sovereignty and agree to live once again as a vulnerable minority under Arab-Muslim rule, but it is most definitely anti-Semitic to ignore the fact that Jews in the Muslim Middle East endured centuries of discrimination and persecution, and that anti-Jewish bigotry remains prevalent throughout the Muslim world. I have yet to come across a single pro-Palestinian anti-Zionist willing to denounce the ancient and enduring anti-Jewish bigotry in the Muslim Middle East.

UK Labour Party party leader Jeremy Corbyn came under fire Friday after video emerged of him appearing to compare Israeli military rule in the West Bank to the Nazi occupation of European countries during World War II.
In the short clip, which was shared by Twitter user The Golem, Corbyn says Palestinians in the West Bank live “under occupation of the very sort that would be recognized by many people in Europe who suffered occupation during the Second World War, with the endless road blocks, imprisonment, irrational behavior by the military and the police.”
The video was said to have been filmed at a 2013 event held by the Palestine Return Centre, when Corbyn was a fairly unknown Labour MP.
He also said in the clip that Palestinians in Gaza are “virtually imprisoned within that very small area and facing environmental disaster and catastrophe.”

“Adding or removing language undermines the months of international diplomacy and academic rigour that enabled this definition to exist,” experts of the UK delegation to the organization said in a statement. “If one organisation or institution can amend the wording to suit its own needs, then logically anyone else could do the same.”
Labour’s leadership had proposed endorsing the anti-Semitisim definition itself, but not all of the 11 working examples that accompany it, as part of their code of conduct. The party’s decision to leave out four of the examples has prompted criticism from some Labour MPs and three Jewish newspapers who jointly declared that a government led by Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn would pose an “existential threat” to Jewish life in the U.K.
The IHRA statement does not name Labour or Corbyn directly but it does refer obliquely to the “discourse concerning the troubling rise of antisemitic incidents in Britain.”

"We need to explain that in fact, in all these instances, these are Palestinians who, at their own initiative, take knives, screwdrivers and scissors to try and kill Jews," Nahshon explains in the lecture. "The Palestinians here lie big time, they lie to the entire world. They say: Look, these are executions – and we see that in fact these are situations in which if they [the Israeli security forces] hadn't stopped the male or female terrorist, they would have continued to kill other people."
Nahshon also touches on the perpetually controversial issue of Israeli settlements in his lecture.
"We are told that because there are settlements, there is no peace. … That is simply not the truth," he says. "There were no settlements before the [1967] Six-Day War, and there was no peace then. When we left the Gaza Strip, we evacuated all the settlements and in return we got Qassam [rockets] and Hamas. Whoever thinks the conflict is a result of the settlements simply does not understand anything, and that needs to be explained."

Founded in 1984 in Birmingham, England, Islamic Relief, with branches in over 20 countries, is the largest Islamic charity in the West. It has received at least $80 million over the past ten years from Western governments and international bodies, including the United Nations. It received more than $700,000 from U.S. taxpayers during the past two years. Its officials are members of government advisory panels, while Western cabinet ministers, European royalty, and Trump administration officials speak at its events.
Islamic Relief has, however, been banned in both Israel and the United Arab Emirates because of its links to terror. MEF’s June 2018 report, Islamic Relief: Charity, Extremism and Terror, confirms its ties to extremism in the West and to terrorism-linked groups in the Middle East.
In a letter dated July 19, 2018, Sharif Aly, Chief Executive Officer of Islamic Relief USA (IR-USA), informed legislators that “any claims that Islamic Relief USA, Islamic Relief Worldwide, or their respective partners are affiliated with any terrorist or extremist entities are categorically and unequivocally false.” Aly then offered a series of responses to particular allegations that he claimed “refutes the erroneous allegations recently made against [IR-USA].”
MEF has now published its own response, showing that every single one of IR-USA’s denials is merely a sidestep or deception.

The Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel claimed victory Tuesday after Adidas ended its sponsorship of Israel’s Football Association (IFA), though i24NEWS has learned that the German sports giant’s decision was in no way politically motivated.
“Adidas can confirm that the existing agreement [with IAF] was not extended beyond the agreed term,” an Adidas spokesperson told i24NEWS.
The decision was “not politically motivated,” and Adidas “wishes to thank Israel Football Association for its collaboration and wishes it much success,” according to the statement.

Israeli Ambassador to Norway Raphael Schutz has demanded that the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet remove from its website a controversial cartoon featuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which some have denounced as anti-Semitic.Ottawa Mosque Loses Charity Status For Promoting ‘Hate And Intolerance’ … Don’t They All
The paper, the sixth-largest in Norway, refused the demand to remove the image or apologize for any possible offense, arguing that the cartoon falls under the realm of freedom of expression.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Schutz called the cartoon "an example of the most repulsive imaginable #antisemitic imagery… We demand Dagbladet to remove this sickening image and apologize!"
The cartoon was accompanied by an opinion piece critical of Israel's recently passed nation-state law, which defines Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people – a definition many of Israel's non-Jewish citizens find discriminatory.

The Canada Revenue Agency took action against the Ottawa Islamic Centre and Assalam Mosque following audits that raised concerns about its roster of guest speakers.
“Many of the views expressed by the organization’s speakers are misogynistic, homophobic, racist and/or promote violence,” the CRA Charities Branch wrote in a letter sent to the mosque president.
Bilal Philips, Hakkeem (Hakim) Quick and Saed Rageah are regulars at many Muslim hatefests across Canada. This is a surprising action by the CRA as these gentlemen are considered pillars of the Muslim community and beyond reproach.

Steve West, who promotes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on a radio show he hosts, defeated three other candidates Tuesday in the bid for a seat representing Clay County. He won with 49.5 percent of the vote; the second-place finisher had 24.4 percent.
“Looking back in history, unfortunately, Hitler was right about what was taking place in Germany. And who was behind it,” West said on KCXL radio in January 2017, The Kansas City Star reported Thursday.
He has spoken of “Jewish cabals” that are “harvesting baby parts” from Planned Parenthood, abuse children and control the Republican Party. West also has a YouTube channel on which he has made homophobic, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and racist statements, according to The Star.
West will face Democratic incumbent Jon Carpenter in November.
On Thursday, the Missouri Republican Party denounced West’s “shocking and vile” comments.
“West’s abhorrent rhetoric has absolutely no place in the Missouri Republican Party or anywhere. We wholeheartedly condemn his comments,” the party told The Star.

Earlier this month, a 30-year-old patient who had undergone several unsuccessful knee surgeries in the past received an Agili-C implant at Hadassah University Medical Center on Jerusalem’s Mount Scopus campus, created by the Kfar Saba-based CartiHeal startup.
Agili-C, which is made of a material derived from the exoskeletons of coral, is currently undergoing clinical studies centering around the regeneration of damaged cartilage and bone. More than 70 patients have been treated with the implant so far worldwide.
Dr. Adi Friedman, who performed the operation, said the surgery could be an important milestone in knee surgery.
“The need for an implant that leads to the regrowth of damaged cartilage is genuinely needed in the orthopedic world, and we hope that the [clinical] trial will succeed, and that the implant will be the breakthrough that we have been waiting for for many years,” he said in a statement.

The show, according to the Grandmaster Flash website, is a celebration of hip hop’s most formative decade in the 1970s, with his use of archival master recordings, images and videos from the vaults of major record labels.
The 60-year-old DJ, whose real name is Joseph Saddler, is considered a pioneer of hip hop DJing, of cutting, scratching and mixing sounds and music. He and his act, the Furious Five, were the first hip hop act to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.

Maternity wards in most of the country’s hospitals are at capacity, with some mothers being referred to other departments and others having their babies being delivered in hallways, the Ynet news website reported Thursday.
Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba broke its all-time record for births in any given month with 1,518 deliveries in July. That’s almost an increase of 10 percentage points over the 1,395 births recorded there in July 2017.
Soroka has Israel’s largest number of births — approximately 17,000 annually. That means that July was higher by seven percentage points than the monthly average of 1,415 births at the hospital. In July 2017, Soroka had 1,510 births — a previous record for July.
The Israeli hospital with the second-largest number of births, Ichilov Hospital, saw 1,014 births in July – nearly 10% above that hospital’s monthly average of 916 births. Ichilov last month opened a new maternity ward with 51 private rooms and a new infant department.

For more than 40 years Efraim Ilani worked as a press photographer in Israel, documenting its development from pioneer state to burgeoning economic and military dynamo. He captured the faces of the first immigrants released from detention camps in Cyprus and covered female soldiers in training in the 1960s. He covered the opening of power stations and the development of ports along the coast.
All the while, as Ilani bore witness to Israel’s progress from behind the lens, his son Peter often accompanied him on assignments, snapping away with a Yashica Matt, his very first camera.
“I still think about what he taught me, ‘If you don’t see a story in your frame don’t take a picture,’” Peter Ilani said, gesturing to his father’s vast collection, now neatly stored in the basement of his upstate New York home.
Ilani, who now works in real estate, recently finished cataloging almost all of his father’s black and white negatives and proofs. A herculean task given that there are over 5,700 negatives, 1,700 of which the younger Ilani has scanned. The collection includes thousands of color slides, not cataloged, and close to 200 black and white prints his father made in his lab years ago.
