The hole in the sky

This is a view of lower Manhattan at around 9:59 AM today, when the South Tower fell five years ago. (The sun shining in my direction makes it hard to take a good picture in the morning from across the Hudson.) It is difficult for people who are unfamiliar with the skyline to understand how huge the twin towers were. I attempted to show in this picture, in a very limited way, the enormity of what was lost.
