Melanie Phillips: The crumbling wall of Hamas propaganda
That “genocide” lie has now been revealed as a travesty by Hamas itself. In its latest revision of the number of deaths in Gaza during the war, it says that 68,800 died. As before, it provides no acknowledgement of the number of these casualties who were terrorist combatants, nor the number who were killed by misfired rockets from Gaza or execution by Hamas (of which there have been many), nor indeed the number of natural deaths.

Most of the dead were men aged 18 to 59. According to researcher Gabriel Epstein, who broke the numbers down for Haaretz, the Hamas statistics show a much higher share of adult men and older teenage boys relative to their share of the population and a much lower share of women and children.

This totally refutes the mantra that those killed by Israel were “overwhelmingly” women and children. And, of course, it exposes the claim of genocide as utterly ludicrous.

Among those who have defamed Israel with these lies for the past 28 months, there is no admission of the terrible wrong they have done, even as their narrative collapses around them. Far from acknowledging that an unknown number of its staff have terrorist links, MSF is refusing to share a list of its Palestinian and international staff with Israeli authorities as part of the registration process to work in Gaza and the “West Bank.”

What’s more, its admission about terrorists at Nasser Hospital was buried in a rarely referenced FAQ page on the MSF website, where it was spotted by the eagle-eyed analyst Salo Aizenberg.

There appears to be nothing about this MSF report, the PIJ “dual identity” revelations or the revised Hamas statistical breakdown on the websites of Israel’s chief media demonizers, the BBC and The New York Times.

As for Oxfam, the BBC website reports the industrial tribunal case Begum has brought against the charity by detailing claims against her of bullying and other leadership issues, while failing to mention her explosive charge that Oxfam has a “toxic antisemitic culture.”

Nor is this the first time that MSF’s halo has been tarnished from within. In December 2023, Alain Destexhe, MSF’s former head, published a 47-page report based on tweets and posts by MSF staff on X and on Facebook.

This revealed that a significant proportion of MSF staff in Gaza supported Hamas, including its onslaught on Oct. 7. They never denounced on X the crimes committed by Hamas on that day, the taking of hostages, or the use of hospitals as barracks or human shields.

While MSF spared Hamas, said the report, the NGO accused Israel of “all the crimes,” using terms such as “massacres,” “annihilation,” and “accepted and organized sacrifice.”

“Is it possible,” it asked, “that MSF and its employees knew nothing and saw nothing of the violations of humanitarian law in the hospital by Hamas?”

It’s a good question, which could usefully be repeated about others. Is it possible that the Western media and the rest of the liberal establishment that demonize and defame Israel know nothing and see nothing of the violations of truth and evidence by Hamas?

The answer, incredible as it seems, is yes—and no. Those who see it shut their eyes to it. Others don’t allow themselves to see it at all.

Nothing, including whistleblowing or revised information from within, can be allowed to challenge the Western liberal narrative of heartless Israeli colonizers and wretched displaced Palestinians. Which is why the entire media, humanitarian and human-rights complex, which has poisoned the mind of the West with this exterminatory propaganda, is itself an accomplice to an all-too-real genocidal program.
Former hostage Matan Angrest says he was electrocuted in captivity
Former hostage Matan Angrest says he was tortured and electrocuted during his two-plus years in Hamas captivity.

“For eight hours in a row, I sat and had to tell them things, during which I knew that it wasn’t just about my own well-being but the security of the country at stake. There are things that are in the realm of ‘die and don’t tell,'” Angrest tells Channel 12’s Uvda investigative program, indicating that he was exposed to highly classified intelligence during his service in an elite tank unit.

Angrest recalls opening his eyes for the first time after he was kidnapped from his tank, which was hit by an RPG on the Gaza border.

He says he found himself in a home in Gaza with over half a dozen Palestinians sitting in front of him.

They began asking him questions about where he served and where he was kidnapped from, but the questions were in Arabic and he didn’t understand. His captors then got angry and started beating him while his hands and feet were tied.

He says he couldn’t move his arm because it was burned so badly.

“Someone came to me with two cables and put them on my wound and just turned (a machine) on. I could feel myself being electrocuted. I screamed in a pain that is impossible to describe,” Angrest says.
The Disastrous Legacy of Mahmoud Abbas
Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who became head of the Palestine Liberation Organization after Yasser Arafat's death, is a Holocaust-denying, terror-supporting, corrupt dictator who was bad for Israel, bad for the Palestinians, and bad for peace, which he undermined more than promoted. His policies promoted, incited, and rewarded terrorism and the systematic indoctrination of generations of Palestinians to hate Israel and Israelis.

He insisted on treating genocidal terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) as legitimate Palestinian factions and continued to reject peace efforts. Abbas bears direct responsibility for the deaths of thousands of Palestinians and Israelis. If the PA is to continue playing any future role, any future Palestinian leader must be the absolute antithesis of Abbas.

While consistently feigning moderation and pragmatism, Abbas consistently rejected peace. In 2008, he rejected an offer by then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to create a Palestinian state. Instead, Abbas chose to pursue virtual statehood, repeatedly requesting that the UN recognize the non-existent "State of Palestine."

Abbas accumulated a substantial personal fortune estimated to be over $100 million. His sons, Tarek and Yasser, run the large Falcon business consortium that controls much of Palestinian commerce. The consortium includes tobacco, electrical and mechanical engineering, media, construction, and investment interests. They, too, have amassed huge personal fortunes.


Israeli woman arrested in Turkey for serving in IDF, released after US intervention
An Israeli-Turkish dual national was recently arrested while visiting her parents in Istanbul for serving in the past in the Israel Defense Forces, being held under house arrest for several days until diplomatic pressure secured her release and return to Israel, Hebrew media reported Wednesday.

The woman was apprehended under a Turkish law that prohibits serving in a foreign military, according to Channel 12 news.

Her detention came after an anti-Israel Turkish activist group published her details from a database of dual citizen Israeli soldiers gleaned from social media. The group, which reportedly focuses on female soldiers, urged Turkish authorities to arrest the woman under laws relating to genocide and crimes against humanity in connection with the Gaza war.

The woman, whose name has not been not reported, was arrested last week and held for several hours before being released to house arrest.

At that point, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar became involved, reportedly leading a diplomatic push for her to be allowed to return to Israel. The US administration also helped out, and was said to have sent a message to Turkish authorities that the woman be immediately released.

She was reportedly then permitted to leave Turkey for a third country, from where she flew back to Israel under the auspices of Israeli authorities. Sa’ar has spoken to her since she arrived back in the country, reports said.

The Turkish activism group was said to have launched its campaign after the Israeli Ynet news outlet, a week and a half ago, published figures on the number of dual nationals serving in the IDF, putting the figure at just over 50,000.

Israeli legal, military and political officials were alarmed at the incident, given the current tense relations with Turkey, Channel 12 said.
Seth Mandel: Realize How Far Out on a Limb He’s Gone?
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whom Trump singled out for praise during his State of the Union address Tuesday in which the president also mentioned the Iranian threat, had this to say about the Islamic Republic yesterday: “You can see them always trying to rebuild elements of [the nuclear program]. They’re not enriching [uranium] right now, but they’re trying to get to the point where they ultimately can.”

To be clear, nuclear proliferation is only part of the reason for Trump’s hawkishness toward Iran of late. In fact, it’s probably third on the list. There is also Iran’s ballistic-missile program, which Israel considers an existential threat and with which Iran would like to be able to reliably threaten Europe. The main reason, however, is the Iranian regime’s monstrous massacring of thousands of peaceful protesters in defiance of Trump’s warnings that such behavior would itself be provocation enough for some kind of military action.

So what we have is a list of reasons to strike Iran—all of them legitimate—and the Iranian refusal to agree to Trump’s terms relating to each of those issues. We have a Mideast military buildup not seen in many decades. And earlier today, the IDF struck more Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

So what’s the game here? Iran’s strategy, according to the Times, is as follows: “Iran was expected to offer a proposal designed to maintain some level of enrichment while also allowing Mr. Trump to declare victory.”

In every meaningful respect, those are essentially mutually exclusive. Trump can have victory or he can have Iranian nuclear enrichment. Additionally, Trump’s military buildup can only be defended as part of an all-or-nothing negotiating strategy. But all this for an off-ramp? Either these talks are all for show or the president is going to undertake one of the steepest climb-downs we’ve ever seen.
WSJ Editorial: Trump and the Stakes in Iran
Any attack on Iran carries risks. In June 2025, Iran launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones at Israel but was unable to do major damage or down any jets.

There are also risks to not striking now. The Tehran regime is weaker than it has been since it came to power in 1979. Israel has degraded its proxy armies. It is under extreme financial and economic pressure, and it is at war with its own people.

Waiting a year, as some advise, would give the regime time to rebuild its proxies and rearm. The Financial Times reported this week on a secret 500 million euro deal for Iran to buy advanced missiles from Russia. Reuters reports that Iran is nearing a deal with China to buy supersonic antiship missiles.

Waiting would squander a rare opportunity to topple a regime that has terrorized the world, spread war across the Middle East, supplied Russia and China, and killed or maimed thousands of Americans.

Mr. Trump has put himself in a position where there is risk no matter what he decides. The upside is a chance to weaken or topple a regime that promises "death to America," and to give the Middle East a new chance for peace.
40 Iranian Doctors and Nurses Describe a Massacre
In January, at the peak of the violent crackdown on anti-regime protests in Iran, a medical worker in Rasht suddenly found his trauma center overwhelmed with hundreds of injured protesters. Many were struck by multiple pellets or bullets targeting their heads, necks, chests, femurs and abdomens. "They were shooting to kill, absolutely," he said. After four days, he finally went home and began compiling 11 gigabytes of X-rays, CT scans and medical records, later sending them to us.

Former UN war crimes prosecutor Payam Akhavan believes the death toll could be in the tens of thousands, based on reports by a network of doctors in Iran collecting hospital records. "This is not just the worst mass killing in the contemporary history of Iran," said Akhavan, now a human rights lawyer and a co-founder of the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center. "It is one of the worst mass killings in contemporary world history."

Many of the accounts we received from the doctors and nurses inside Iran were of children under 18 who were injured or killed. At least 209 children were killed in the protests, according to Shiva Amelirad, who represents a network of teachers' unions. "There is a consistent pattern in many documented cases indicating that children were shot in the head," she said. Nearly 54,000 Iranian demonstrators have been arrested, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency.
Iran Rejects 'Zero Uranium Enrichment' in Latest Round of Nuclear Talks
Iranian leaders on Thursday categorically ruled out entering any new deal that forces the country to dismantle its nuclear facilities, relinquish its uranium stockpiles, and stop enriching fissile material. Tehran's rejection of these core U.S. demands threatens to stall diplomatic talks in Geneva as President Donald Trump weighs a strike on the Islamic Republic.

"Our proposal affirms that uranium enrichment is a sovereign right and proposes a temporary freeze on enrichment for a limited period," an Iranian official told Al Jazeera. "The principle of zero uranium enrichment forever, dismantling of nuclear facilities and the transfer of uranium stockpiles is completely rejected."

Tehran's position is the same one it staked out in failed negotiations last year that concluded with June's U.S.-Israeli military campaign. It remains to be seen whether the United States and Iran can bridge the sizable gaps during this round of talks, though Iran's insistence on maintaining its nuclear program may increase the likelihood that Trump will authorize military action in the coming days or weeks. The president made clear during Tuesday night's State of the Union address that he "will never allow the world's number one sponsor of terror, which they are by far, to have a nuclear weapon."

A sortie of American F-35 fighter jets is making its way to the Middle East, where the jets will join two aircraft carriers and an assortment of other military assets in the largest buildup in the region since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The assets provide Trump with the ability to launch a limited strike on Iran's remaining nuclear facilities or move forward with a larger operation that would target senior regime leaders and government infrastructure.

It is also striking that one of the Starmer government’s justifications for aiding Iran is the fear of Iranian retaliation against British bases in the region. According to the man in 10 Downing Street, the Iranians are apparently known for their gratitude, and in the Labour government’s imagined world the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps will target only Zionists and Americans. That, it seems, is acceptable. No need for alarm.

The Labour government’s appeasement of Iran does not absolve the United States in general, or President Donald Trump in particular, of the same malady. The current administration deserves praise for confronting antisemitism that has grown to alarming proportions on college campuses. But Trump himself is the leading defender of the other head of the two-headed monster.

Iran is not alone in its destructive influence. It has a twin: Qatar, which stands behind nearly every anti-Israel campaign in the free world. “You need a public relations agency because you do so much good,” Trump told Qatar’s prime minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, this week. “They see you as evil. You’re not evil. You’re amazing.” Trump may be expressing gratitude for the private jet he received from Doha’s rulers and for Qatar’s massive investments in the American economy. But such softness toward a country that, according to a new official U.S. report, ranks first in donations to universities and in effect bankrolls hatred of Israel — which almost always also means hatred of America — is alarming. And of that country’s prime minister Trump says, “He’s not evil. He’s amazing”?

Yesterday, students in Iran renewed their struggle against the regime. They need assistance. It is a regional and global interest. But when it comes to appeasement — and not only Britain’s — the penny has yet to drop.


Progressive International Hosts Event With U.S.-Sanctioned UN Official Francesca Albanese
Progressive International is hosting a "People's Congress for The Hague Group" in Amsterdam on on March 7, Jewish Onliner has learned. The conference will be led by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), Al-Quds University, and the BDS Movement. It will feature Francesca Albanese, a UN official who was designated as a specially designated national by the U.S. Treasury in July 2025, alongside delegates with alleged links to U.S.-designated terrorist organizations.

The designation against Albanese, imposed under Executive Order 14203, prohibits U.S. citizens and entities from conducting any transactions with her. The purpose of the designation was that Albanese directly engaged with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in efforts to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute nationals of the United States or Israel, without the consent of those two countries.

The U.S.-based Palestinian Youth Movement operates through fiscal sponsorship from Honor the Earth and has received funding from organizations like the California Endowment. Organizers are calling the gathering to “End the Nakba” and plan to direct all proceeds toward humanitarian aid in Gaza

On 7 March, popular forces from over 30 countries, led by @BDSmovement, @palyouthmvmt and @AlQudsU, will converge in Amsterdam to support The Hague Group and forge a plan to end the Nakba.

However, Progressive International appears to rely on U.S.-based Stripe to handle donations. On its main support page, donors are directed to Stripe's billing portal. The Amsterdam event uses a similar setup: the fundraising form is hosted by Action Network, but backend source code appears to show that credit-card payments are processed through Stripe.

The arrangement raises potential OFAC compliance questions, particularly given Albanese's sanctions status and PYM's involvement as a U.S.-based organizer of the event.


Francesca Albanese’s family sues Trump admin over sanctions
The family of Francesca Albanese, a special U.N. rapporteur whom the federal government sanctioned for her anti-Israel remarks, filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration in a U.S. federal court on Wednesday, seeking relief from the effects of the designation.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson told JNS the lawsuit was “baseless” and Albanese is a “disgrace.”

Albanese, the U.N. special rapporteur for the Palestinians, was sanctioned last year by the Trump administration after reaching out to American companies and organizations, informing them that they were to be included in her report on human rights violators and hanging over them the threat of prosecution for war crimes and crimes against humanity for their links to Israel.

The Trump administration said Albanese’s U.N. diplomatic immunity did not apply.

Critics have accused Albanese of using her U.N. mandate to advance an anti-Israel agenda and of having a long history of antisemitic rhetoric. Most recently, she drew condemnation for suggesting that Israel is a “common enemy” of humanity, prompting several European countries to call for her resignation or for restraint in her public statements.

The U.N. secretariat has claimed it has no oversight of Albanese, and the U.N. Human Rights Council, which appointed her and extended her mandate, has refused to take action.

The lawsuit, filed by Albanese’s husband, Massimiliano Cali, a World Bank official and former Palestinian Authority employee, details the impact of the sanctions on him and the couple’s daughter, whom Albanese says is an American citizen. The suit names U.S. President Donald Trump, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio as defendants.

Albanese has complained that the sanctions severed her from the U.S. financial system, with significant personal and professional consequences. The court filing frames the case as a First Amendment issue.


Seth Frantzman: US efforts helped pave way for Syria-Druze deal, source tells 'Post'
Months of efforts by US officials helped pave the way for a deal on Thursday that enabled numerous people to be freed by opposing sides in Syria.

Dozens of people who had been detained in Damascus and Sweida since clashes in July between the Druze in Sweida and government forces in Damascus were released in an exchange.

US efforts, including by US envoy Tom Barrack and by Congressman Abe Hamadeh (R-Arizona), played a key role, according to a source with knowledge of the details.

According to Syrian state media SANA, “Syrian Internal Security Forces, in coordination with the Military Police, began transferring 61 detainees to Sweida on Thursday.” This was part of a deal that saw 25 people released by the Druze National Guard that controls Sweida.

“Qutaiba Azzam, director of media relations in Sweida, told SANA that the detainees were being moved to the al-Matouna checkpoint in the province’s northern countryside to complete the agreed exchange process,” the report said.

According to a knowledgeable source, the deal on Thursday came about due to work that had been done over the last few months.

In August, Hamadeh made an unprecedented trip from Jerusalem to Damascus, his office said at the time. He “met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani to discuss the congressman's continuing efforts to bring Americans home, advance Peace Through Strength, and advocate for a Syria that looks towards the future and not the past.”

In September, Shaibani made a historic visit to Washington, where he met Hamadeh, along with other US officials and politicians.

Khaldoun al-Hijri, a relative of Syrian Druze leader Hikmat al-Hijri, who has worked as a political envoy for the Druze region, met with Hamadeh in Washington, according to the source.

The goal was to help keep dialogue open and also to discuss civil society and build a rapport. Hamadeh’s office worked incessantly to help move things forward. Along with Barrack’s team, this helped pave the way for the current deal.
IDF kills Gaza terrorist, uncovers tunnel network
Israeli forces operating in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday shot and killed a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and approached troops, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Separately, the army reported that troops from the 98th Paratroopers Division located and dismantled tunnel routes spanning about three miles in the Beit Hanoun area during engineering operations east of the Yellow Line in the northeastern Strip.

Soldiers also discovered a weapons cache containing explosives, grenades, launchers, rifles and RPG rockets.

The IDF said its troops remain deployed under the ceasefire agreement and will continue operations to eliminate immediate threats and secure the western Negev.

'Israel is evil, genocidal': Ana Kasparian doubles down in anti-Zionist X thread
Executive Producer and host of left-wing show The Young Turks, Ana Kasparian, doubled down on allegedly antisemitic comments made in a thread on X/Twitter on Thursday over a possible military escalation between the US, Israel, and Iran.

Kasparian initially posted on X praising right-wing broadcaster Tucker Carlson for not wanting to go to war with Iran on Israel's behalf. Following an argument in replies, Kasparian was accused of being an antisemite, and lashed out at her accusers, saying, "Hey, b****, the goyim are waking the f*** up. Deal with it."

Approximately 14 hours later, she issued a follow-up post, pinning it to her profile, saying that she does not regret it and does not apologize.

"Israel is evil, genocidal, and has destroyed our country," the affirmation accused.

Israel is "about to drag us into another war, and all we hear from Israelis and their braindead supporters is 'ANTISEMITE' if you disagree with Israel's agenda," she continued.


Tucker Carlson is trying to break Trump's Republican movement that made him
Policy disagreements are healthy. But repeatedly suggesting that the President of the United States is manipulated by foreign powers crosses a line. Going on foreign state media to air those grievances magnifies the damage.

Tucker Carlson built his brand by attacking the political establishment. Now he appears willing to attack the most consequential Republican president in modern history to preserve his own brand of attack dog and perhaps his relevance.

The question is no longer whether Carlson disagrees with Trump. The question is whether he is prepared to weaken the movement in order to win that argument.

Because if this fracture widens, the only beneficiaries will be those who have always wanted to see MAGA divided.

And that would be a far greater victory for Trump’s opponents than anything happening in Tehran.

Tucker Carlson’s loyalty in question
Tucker Carlson, you are a fake Christian, a fake Republican, and a fake Trump supporter. If you were ever accused of being genuine in any of those roles, there would be no evidence to convict you.

If you were a real Christian, you would speak truth, not spread what many view as falsehoods. If you were a real Republican, you would be standing with Israel, not against her. And if you were a true supporter of the Commander in Chief, you would not be attempting to undermine him during a time of war by attacking his Iran policy of ensuring that Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon.

For you to travel to the Middle East and attempt to undermine the policy of President Trump after so much war and with tensions so high is despicable, treacherous, and anti-American. These are more like the actions of a foreign agent for radical Islam than a salt of the earth upstanding American.

It also appears that you are actively engaged in handing the midterm elections to the Democrats. That should come as no surprise, considering that your three children are registered Democrats.

These facts raise serious questions about where your loyalties truly lie.

Your loyalty does not lie in supporting Donald Trump, the Republican Party, or the Bible, which you claim to have read once, but in advancing your own agenda, even if it means allowing radical godless Democrats to burn down everything we stand for.


‘Tax The Jews’: Anti-Capitalist DSA Protest Erupts Into Anti-Semitic Chants
A "tax the Jews" chant erupted Wednesday during an anti-capitalist protest in San Francisco organized by the local Democratic Socialists of America chapter.

At an event hosted by San Francisco mayor Daniel Lurie, the protesters initially chanted "tax the rich." As the disruption continued, video footage captured at least one woman yelling "tax the Israel" followed by "tax the Jews."

A separate video showed the keffiyeh-clad woman yelling "shame on Jews" and "cancel Israel."

Wednesday’s disruption is just the latest instance of anti-Semitism intertwining with anti-capitalist efforts. At its biennial convention in August, between "Free Palestine" and "Death to the IDF" chants, DSA adopted a resolution that made "organizing in solidarity with the Palestinian cause a priority until Palestine is free." It also affirmed its commitment to a Palestine Liberation Organization creed that asserts the "right to resistance" and designates "Jerusalem as the capital" of a Palestinian state.

New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani (D.) is a member of the DSA who has refused to condemn the use of the phrase "globalize the intifada," a rallying cry for violence against Israel and its supporters.

The San Francisco DSA chapter said in a statement that the woman seen chanting was a nonmember who joined the crowd and "spouted disgusting anti-Semitic remarks."

"We want to be clear that whatever hate she holds isn’t shared by DSA members and we categorically reject antisemitism," the statement continued.

But Rudy Gonzalez, the secretary-treasurer of the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades Council, which represents multiple unions, said several DSA members participated in the chants.

"During today’s press conference, individuals identifying themselves with the Democratic Socialists of America disrupted the event with antisemitic chants," Gonzalez, who participated in Lurie’s event, said in a statement.
DC socialists demand ‘Palestinian liberation’ pledge, Dem mayoral candidate obliges
The head of Washington, D.C.’s Jewish Community Relations Council called a political questionnaire from the local chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America an “anti-Jewish loyalty oath” on Wednesday after the DSA demanded that political candidates pledge to boycott Israel, avoid meeting with Zionists and support “Palestinian liberation.”

Ward 4 Councilmember Janeese Lewis George, a Democrat who is running to replace Mayor Muriel Bowser, was one of the candidates who secured a DSA endorsement earlier this month after she declared that Israel has committed “genocide” in the Gaza Strip and agreed to divest from the Jewish state.

During a question-and-answer session with the DSA in January, Lewis George said that if given the opportunity, she would take back her 2022 vote supporting the adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of Jew-hatred.

“If this vote came up today, I would not vote for it,” she said. “I firmly believe that anti-Zionism and criticism of Israel is not antisemitism.”

Asked if she would support legislation to end municipal contracts with or divest public funds from Israel or “companies complicit in the genocide in Gaza,” Lewis George replied, “Yes.”

Lewis George is the only elected Democrat running to succeed Bowser in the June primary.


Maine Democrat Graham Platner Boosts Holocaust-Denying White Supremacist
Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner, who recently covered up a tattoo of a Nazi symbol on his chest, promoted a notoriously anti-Semitic white supremacist who denies the Holocaust, Stew Peters.

Platner boosted a post by Peters, who has an extensive track record of anti-Semitism and Holocaust denialism, about a potential attack on Iran. Peters, who has nearly 900,000 followers on X, asserted that "war with Iran" is the only issue that brings Democrats and Republicans together.

Platner, who is running to unseat Sen. Susan Collins (R.), echoed those remarks, accusing both parties of "sending other people’s children to die in stupid wars in the Middle East."

Platner deleted his post after social media users pointed out Peters’s history of anti-Semitic rhetoric.


Abughazaleh says she doesn’t support Iron Dome, dodges on Israel’s right to exist
At a televised debate in Illinois’ 9th Congressional District on Wednesday evening, far-left activist and social media influencer Kat Abughazaleh said she would not support continued aid for Israel’s Iron Dome, dodged a question on Israel’s right to exist and said that President Donald Trump is only considering strikes on Iran because he wants to “bomb more brown people.”

Questions on Israel policy and accusations about alleged pro-Israel spending in the race dominated much of the hourlong session, having taken on a outsized role in the primary.

Asked whether she supports Israel’s right to exist, Abughazaleh, who is Palestinian American, responded, “I think that this question is said as if it doesn’t exist. What we need is to ensure that any solution, whether it is a two-state, a single secular state, whatever it is, is negotiated not by America, but by the people that actually live there.”

She went on to highlight her own family’s history, explaining that her great-grandfather was Palestinian and was displaced from the land, where he owned a hotel.

“It’s really important that any solution has full civil and legal rights for everyone living there, regardless of their ethnicity, their religion, and that it is decided by the people who actually live there because we spend so much of our time as a country interfering in other countries and saying that we dictate how they live, and it’s just made places worse,” she continued.

Abughazaleh also said she would not support unconditional aid for defensive systems, specifically naming the Iron Dome missile-defense system.

“Defensive weaponry is an oxymoron. Weapons are inherently offensive,” she said. The Iron Dome system is designed to intercept incoming drones and projectiles and has no offensive applications.


Activist loses case over “All Zionists are terrorists” chant
Melbourne activist Hash Tayeh, who led crowds in chanting “All Zionists are terrorists” at pro-Palestinian rallies, has been found to have breached Victorian law in a ruling delivered today by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

The tribunal found that Tayeh contravened the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001, determining that the slogan amounted to racial vilification. VCAT accepted that, in the Australian context, the phrase targeted Jews because a significant majority identify as Zionists and that the chant failed to draw a meaningful distinction between political ideology and personal identity.

The case was brought by Jewish community advocate Menachem Vorchheimer, who lodged multiple complaints over the slogan following rallies in Melbourne’s CBD in mid-2024. He argued that equating all Zionists with terrorists dehumanised Jewish Australians and placed them at risk.

Speaking previously to The Australian, Vorchheimer said: “You can’t chant ‘All Zionists are terrorists.’ My mother can’t walk without a frame. She’s fiercely Zionistic. She’s a terrorist? They use the word “Zionist” as a euphemism for “Jew”.

Today’s ruling comes against the backdrop of heightened tensions in Victoria since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza, which have been accompanied by a sharp rise in reported antisemitic incidents.
