Israel Accused of Denying Palestinian ‘Right to Life’ During Activist’s Speech to UN Commission
A Palestinian activist claimed on Tuesday that Israel has removed the “right to life” of Palestinians throughout Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during a speech before a UN panel in Geneva.

“We as Palestinians have basically zero to no rights–even the right to life, the most basic right,” Ubai Al-Aboudi — executive director of the Ramallah-based Bisan Center for Research and Development — told the second day of a five-day meeting of the “UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory,” created by the global body’s Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in the wake of the May 2021 war between the IDF and the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza.

“Every political system between the river and the sea violates basic Palestinian human rights,” Al-Aboudi said, using a form of words associated with advocates who seek to end Israel’s existence as a sovereign Jewish state.

Bisan and the other NGOs were outlawed in 2021 by the Israeli government for their connections to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which is designated as a terrorist organization by Israel as well as by the United States and European Union. The groups deny the charges.

Other speakers at the panel denounced Israel in similar terms. Shawan Jabarin, the executive director of Al-Haq, another of the NGOs that was banned, said on Monday said that Israel used “mafia methods” to pursue the groups. Another activist, Hanan Husein, told the parley that “Israel collects its evidence through the use of torture mechanisms, illegal surveillance, evidence planting, and trying people in front of an illegal occupation system that is designed to keep the Palestinian people subjugated to human rights violations.”




In Germany, Kristallnacht goes by a different name. Here’s why
This week, Jewish communities across the United States are commemorating the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the anti-Jewish riots that marked a brutal turning point in the Nazi campaign of persecution.

In Germany, cities and towns also will commemorate this day, but under a different name. They refer to the events of November 9-10, 1938, as “the November Pogrom,” or variations on that term. That’s became to many in Germany, the term “Kristallnacht” — night of shattered glass — sounds incongruous.

“It has a pretty sound,” said Matthias Heine, a German journalist whose 2019 book examined the role of Nazi terms in the contemporary German vernacular. “When you know that it was a very serious and bloody and violent event, then this term isn’t acceptable anymore.”

That autumn night, government-coordinated anti-Jewish riots swept through virtually every town and city across Nazi Germany. Over several days, rioters destroyed hundreds of synagogues, looted thousands of businesses and killed at least 91 Jews; 30,000 Jewish men were sent to concentration camps.

It was a turning point in both Jewish and non-Jewish memories, said Guy Meron, historian at the Open University of Israel and the Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial.

“Until the pogrom, we still had a Jewish public sphere in Germany: Jewish organizations were active, and in some places in Germany Jews could still feel safe in public life,” said Meron, whose latest book, “To Be a Jew in Nazi Germany,” comes out in English next year.
Israel condemns Tel Aviv conference equating Holocaust with ‘Nakba’
Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday harshly criticized a planned Tel Aviv conference linking the Holocaust and Israel’s War of Independence.

The conference, titled, “The Holocaust, the Nakba and the German Culture of Remembrance,” was organized by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Israel in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Tel Aviv.

According to the Rosa Luxemburg website, “Almost 75 years after the declaration of the establishment of Israel, remembering in Israel remains a politically contested terrain. Holocaust survivors and their descendants focus on the extermination of Europe’s Jews by the Nazis, while many Palestinians focus on the fateful year of 1948, when hundreds of thousands of people were destined to flight and displacement by Jewish fighters—known in Arabic as the Nakba (catastrophe).”

The ministry issued a statement on Tuesday, expressing “shock and disgust” in the face of the conference’s “blatant Holocaust scorn” and “cynical and manipulative intent to create a link whose entire purpose is to defame Israel.”

Originally scheduled for Nov. 9, the anniversary of the Kristallnacht pogrom, the conference was postponed to Nov. 13 due to the sensitive nature of the date. However, Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nachson emphasized that the date was not the issue.

“Our position is that the event is shameful and disgraceful and should not take place on any date in the calendar, and not only on the anniversary of Kristallnacht,” he said.


KFC Germany encourages customers to 'treat themselves' on Kristallnacht
German fried chicken enthusiasts were shocked to receive a notification on their phones from KFC Germany encouraging them to "treat themselves" on Wednesday, as the anniversary of the 1938 Kristallnacht pogrom was commemorated.

"Commemoration of the Reichspogromnacht (the German name for Kristallnacht) - Treat yourself to more tender cheese with the crispy chicken. Now at KFCheese!" read the push notification sent to customers' phones.

Almost an hour later, the company pushed another notification apologizing for what it called an "error in our system."

"Due to an error in our system, we sent an incorrect and inappropriate message through our app. We are very sorry about this, we will check our internal processes immediately so that this does not happen gain. Please excuse this error," wrote the company.

Dalia Grinfeld, associate director of European affairs at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) expressed outrage at the notification, tweeting "How wrong can you get on Kristallnacht @KFCDeutschland. Shame on you!"


Sole Jewish member of Arab party compares Israeli occupation to Kristallnacht
The sole Jewish member of an Arab political party said Wednesday that the Israeli occupation is similar to the Kristallnacht pogroms in Germany.

Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass, were pogroms aimed against Jews and carried out by the Nazi Party in 1938.

"What characterized Kristallnacht are two things - besides the arrests and destruction - the pogroms were executed by racists and were not spontaneous at all, despite the claims of the German government, and the same is happening all over the occupied territories by settler militant gangs on a day to day," Hadash–Ta'al party lawmaker Ofer Cassif said.

"It is seemingly spontaneous that Palestinians are being harmed and their property is being damaged, but it is done in cooperation with the Israeli occupation forces."

Cassif said Israelis must "look in the mirror" to recognize "what monsters we have become" before the situation gets worse.

"The monsters in this case are settler militias, the Israeli government that approves it, and the occupation forces that allow it. They are all monsters and we have to put a mirror in front of them."

Ofer Cassif also spoke about the coalition's attempts to pass laws to override Supreme Court decisions, calling it "an attempt to castrate the justice system."

"What they call an overriding law is actually a laundered word for a deep state conspiracy theory," Cassif added.

"What Benjamin Netanyahu and officials around him claim is that the deep state controls Israel, which is total nonsense. I also have criticism toward the judicial system, but what they want to do is to eliminate it, and be the only authority that calls the shots - which is called totalitarianism."

When told that Netanyahu does not intends at this time to add the issue to the coalition agreements, Cassif replied: "I don't believe any word that comes from his mouth, the man is a pathological liar. Just because he's playing the role of an adult in front of the public, doesn't mean he is such."
Schumer Wins 5th Term, Hochul Defeats Zeldin, So Far, Republican Wave Tamer than Expected
The polls have just closed in the western states, and so a lot is still open in the 2022 midterm elections, but based on the results in the northeast, where Republicans were hoping to make a dent in the Congressional blue wall, it appears that––with the exception of New York’s 17th district––they have not.

As of 11:30 PM, Eastern Time, Governor Kathy Hochul is projected by CBS to win over Republican Lee Zeldin by a margin of 55% to 45%, with 74% of the votes counted. And Senator Chuck Schumer, the Senate majority leader, has been re-elected to a fifth term.

Several well-known Democrats, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jerrold Nadler, had no problem getting re-elected, same as Republican Nicole Malliotakis, from New York’s 11th congressional district, considered the city’s most conservative (Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn).

The Associated Press has projected the following wins for Democrats in the US House: Hakeem Jeffries wins re-election in New York’s 8th Congressional District; Nydia Velazquez wins re-election in District 7; Grace Meng wins re-election in District 6; Yvette Clarke wins re-election in District 9.


Israel, Jordan advance clean energy-for-water deal
Jordan and Israel agreed to advance a joint green energy and water deal, during the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm al-Sheikh on Tuesday.

The agreement, facilitated by the US and the UAE, involves Israel constructing a designated desalination plant to export more water to Jordan at full price, and Jordan building a solar field in the desert in Jordan to export clean energy to Israel, which lacks open space, and to test solar energy storage solutions.

The countries agreed a year ago to examine the possibility of such an arrangement, and Tuesday’s agreement marked an advancement towards making the deal a reality.

Regional Cooperation Minister Esawi Frej, who was at the signing ceremony, said that the current government is leaving the next one “a legacy of cross-border cooperation that creates hope for the whole region, with states working together to advance the optimal use of natural resources. This legacy of action proves the power of peace.”

Energy Minister Karin Elharrar said the initial deal marked “the opening of a new page in relations between Israel and Jordan,” in which the constant cooperation between the Israeli and Jordanian teams enabled greater trust between the countries that creates geopolitical, economic and environmental opportunities.


Why Turkey Is Trying to Charm Israel
On October 27, the Israeli defense minister Benny Gantz visited Turkey, in another sign of the thaw between the two counties that began in March. David May and Sinan Ciddi see this as a promising step, but caution against too much enthusiasm for the reconciliation between Jerusalem and Ankara, former long-times allies whose relations went from cool to hostile in the 21st century:
Recep Tayyip Erdogan is seeking a third term as president when he is arguably at his weakest politically. His unpopularity is mainly due to the country’s sluggish economy. [But] Erdogan’s position is also precarious due to increasing reliance on Russia since 2016 for energy security, weapons procurement, and Turkey’s “security” goals in Syria. Vladimir Putin’s isolation and toxicity following his invasion of Ukraine have forced Turkey to look elsewhere. . . . Turkey has expressed its willingness to reduce its dependence on Russia by helping pipe Israeli gas to Europe, but Turkey’s prospective deal is little more than a pipe dream.

Erdogan’s charm offensive with Israel signals that Turkey can turn on a dime and reduce its dependence on Moscow. In doing so, Erdogan continues to gesture to regional powers, such as Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey’s Western allies, that it remains relevant and, to a limited degree, can be an asset. Turkey’s brokering of a major grain-shipment deal from Ukraine that helped avert a world food shortage and the sale of TB2 drones to the Ukrainian military demonstrated its utility.

Israel has several interests in improved ties with Turkey, but the most direct one is inducing Turkey to expel Hamas. Beyond that, there is value in being on good terms with what is arguably the strongest military in the Middle East, a major energy rival, and a country that is operating in Syria, close to Israel.

The pillars of the Israel-Turkey relationship—energy and defense cooperation—require long-term agreements built on mutual trust, not Erdogan’s capricious vacillation between enmity and cooperation. Ejecting Hamas would be a good start, and the decrease in overt hostility is certainly positive, but Gantz’s visit is, at best, window dressing on a cold peace.

Israel stuck between Russian hammer and Ukrainian plight anvil- opinion
We must remember that Russia has no fewer interests in Jerusalem than Israel has in Moscow. When the Russian government creates difficulties for the Jewish way of life in Russia, the Israeli government has enough levers of pressure to respond to the attacks against Russia’s Jews, by placing sanctions against the Russian interests in Jerusalem. It is clear to everyone that Israel also has the option of responding in a completely different way, which will affect the war in Ukraine.

Anyone who knows the particulars of the Jewish community in Russia knows that there is a clear trend on the part of the Russian government to restrict Jewish education in the country, and the State of Israel must respond to this.

The State of Israel, meanwhile, has clear strategic considerations vis-à-vis Russia that affect its room for maneuver in Lebanon and Syria; the power of ambiguity as strategy is clear here. But as the Russian aggression mounts against both the diaspora Jewish community and the national interests of Israel, the status quo is no longer sustainable.

Additionally, the incoming government must create an organized initiative for refugees from Ukraine and Russia, one that would buy them a bright and clear future in the Land of Israel. According to official estimates, about 75,000 members of the Jewish community from Russia have already left the country, and at least 25,000 Russian Jews have arrived in Israel. Tens of thousands moved to countries in the region and have not come to Israel. As time passes, the Iron Curtain descends across Russia, and the opportunity for the Jewish community to leave shrinks.

The State of Israel must use all its resources to untie bureaucratic cables in the reception of olim from Russia. The State must urgently move to ease the way for new immigrants to open bank accounts and move their assets from Russia, and ease the bureaucratic procedures and waiting times related to the processes of confirming the Jewish identity of the immigrants, so that they can pick up the pieces and start a new life in the State of Israel

Now, more than ever, the Jewish communities in Europe need to hear a clear and distinct voice from the Israeli government.

This is an issue of strategic importance to the State of Israel, which should be handled directly by the incoming Prime Minister in Jerusalem.
Gantz: Israel doesn't have production capacity to supply air defense systems to Ukraine
Israel does not have the production capabilities to supply Ukraine with air defense systems, outgoing Defense Minister Benny Gantz said Tuesday.

“It is clear that even if it decided that we change our policy, it is impossible to empty our supply of air defense systems,” Gantz told reporters. “We are checking every day what can be done and how we can expand our aid, but we must not forget that NATO stands behind Ukraine.”

Israel’s air defense systems, including the Iron Dome and Arrow systems, are jointly produced with the United States. Last year Washington passed a $1 billion USD funding bill to replace the Tamir missile interceptors used in Iron Dome batteries after they were used to intercept the over 4,300 missiles fired by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021.

Gantz made the comments as Kyiv continues to push Jerusalem to supply weaponry to the country which is being battered by Russian missile strikes and attacks by Iranian-made drones supplied to Moscow.

Israel has sent over humanitarian aid as well as medical equipment but refuses to send over any weaponry that can be deemed as lethal weaponry, including air defense systems. Israel is also reported by foreign media to be helping with intelligence and has offered to help in developing early-warning systems.

Though Gantz has repeatedly said that Israel won’t be able to provide air defense systems due to “limitations” and “a variety of operational considerations,” there are a number of non-lethal systems that can be provided.
Israeli NGO: The Palestinians are stealing Area C
Arab expansion into land in Judea and Samaria is far outpacing Israeli growth in the area, according to a report by the Israeli NGO Regavim.

“In the past year, the rate of illegal Palestinian construction has increased by 80%,” the researchers wrote.

So far in 2022, Palestinians built 5,535 illegal structures in Area C, which was placed under full Israeli control by the Oslo Accords. In contrast, illegal Israeli construction in Judea and Samaria amounted to 406 structures in 2022.

Over the past 20 years, illegal construction by Israelis totaled a mere 4,382 structures, fewer than what Palestinians built in the past year alone.

Naomi Linder Kahn, director of Regavim’s International Division, told JNS that “Israel is quantifiably losing the construction battle to the Palestinians in Area C.”
Terrorist killed in firefight with Israeli forces securing MKs’ visit to Joseph’s Tomb
One Palestinian was killed and several were wounded during a firefight in Nablus early Wednesday between Palestinian gunmen and Israeli security personnel guarding a delegation to Joseph’s Tomb that included several Israeli lawmakers, according to Israeli and Palestinian sources.

“IDF and Israel Border Police forces secured the entrance of worshippers to Joseph’s Tomb in the city of Nablus. During the activity, shots were fired and heard in the area. Additionally, a suspect placed an explosive device in the area. The soldiers responded with fire. A hit was identified,” the IDF said in a statement. An IDF drone was downed during the incident, but posed no security risk, the statement added.

According to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry, Mahdi Hashash, 15, was killed by shrapnel, but according to a Fatah statement he was killed by Israeli gunfire. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group, which is affiliated with Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas’s ruling Fatah faction, claimed Hashash as a member.

The IDF did not confirm the death but said that the explosive device had indeed detonated.


Palestinian shot dead during alleged attempt to damage West Bank barrier
A Palestinian man allegedly damaging the northern West Bank security barrier on Wednesday afternoon was shot dead by Israeli troops, the military and Palestinian health officials said.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing Red Crescent medical officials, said 29-year-old Raafat Issa was shot while close to the security barrier near the village of ‘Anin, west of the city of Jenin.

The Israel Defense Forces said Issa was spotted by troops stationed in the area as he was allegedly “sabotaging” the fence.

“The forces began a suspect arrest procedure that included shooting,” the IDF said, adding that Issa was hit by the gunfire. The IDF did not say if Issa was armed or had attempted to enter Israeli territory.

He was treated by army medics at the scene before being handed over to the Red Crescent to be taken to a hospital in Jenin.

The Palestinian Authority said Issa, from the village of Sanur south of Jenin, died of his wounds.

Until recently, thousands of Palestinians laborers would enter Israel every day through gaps in the fence for work.
Lebanese media accuses Israel of strike on Iraq-Syria border
Lebanese media accused Israel Wednesday of striking a convoy traveling from the Iraqi border into Syria.

According to reports, at least 10 people were killed in the strike that hit a convoy of about 15 trucks that had crossed from Iraq into Syria near Al-Qaim. A US source told BBC that an attack did take place near Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria and that the Central Command was investigating the circumstances.

The strike came a day after a US citizen, 45-year-old Stephen Edward Troell, was fatally shot in central Baghdad.

Troell, a native of Tennessee, was killed by unknown assailants in his car as he pulled up to the street where he lived with his family in Baghdad's central Karrada district. It was a rare killing of a foreigner in Iraq in recent years, as security conditions have improved.

No group claimed responsibility for Troell's killing. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, less than two weeks in office, ordered an investigation.
Three Palestinian women with Islamic Jihad ties charged for planned shooting
Three Palestinian women from Nablus with ties to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group were charged this week over plans to commit a shooting attack against Israeli security forces in the West Bank.

On August 20, Tahrir Abu Sariya, Maryam Arafat and Alaa Abu Dhraa were detained by Defense Ministry security guards at the Eliyahu Crossing, near Qalqilya. A loaded makeshift “Carlo” submachine gun was found in the trunk of their car.

The Kan public broadcaster reported Tuesday that the cell, headed by 29-year-old Abu Sariya, sought to commit an attack following the killing of senior al-Aqsa Martyr’s Brigade member Ibrahim al-Nabulsi by Israeli security forces earlier that month.

The Shin Bet security agency confirmed the details of the report to The Times of Israel.

According to the Shin Bet’s investigation, Abu Sariya recruited the other two women before making contact with a terror operative in the Gaza Strip and an Islamic Jihad operative in Nablus, who helped them purchase weapons for the attack.

The trio allegedly filmed themselves wearing Islamic Jihad headbands and declaring their intention to die, and sent the video to the Gaza-based operative.
PMW: No normalization! PA honors fencers who refused to compete against Israelis
During the recent Asian Under 23 Fencing Championship, fencers from Kuwait refused to compete against Israeli opponents. The PA considered this an “awe-inspiring and noble position.” In fact, the PA was so pleased with this that the PLO Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Jibril Rajoub apparently instructed the Chairman of the Palestinian Fencing Association Daoud Mitwali to “honor” them:
“On behalf of Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee Jibril Rajoub, Chairman of the Palestinian Fencing Association Daoud Mitwali honored the Kuwaiti fencers who refused to compete against Israeli fencers in international competitions…

Daoud Mitwali thanked the fencers on behalf of Head of the [PLO] Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Jibril Rajoub for their awe-inspiring and noble position and for their stepping down from competing against the Israeli fencers out of opposition to normalization in the field of sports. He said that this position is appreciated by Rajoub and the Palestinian sports community. Mitwali also conveyed to them the blessings of Secretary-General of the Supreme Council [for Youth and Sports] Minister Issam Al-Qaddumi.”

It is important to note that Mitwali specifically mentioned that the refusal to compete against Israelis was “appreciated by Rajoub.” Palestinian Media Watch has exposed that Rajoub avidly advocates against “normalization” with Israel in every sporting forum. In many instances, Rajoub’s anti-normalization stance breach the rules and regulations of the different sporting bodies and PMW has submitted complaints to FIFA and the International Olympic Committee against him over his position.

Lawmakers Press for Iran Envoy To Be Axed, Nuclear Negotiations Halted
The Biden administration is facing congressional pressure to fire U.S. special envoy for Iran Robert Malley and suspend nuclear negotiations with the hardline regime in the wake of a growing protest movement that threatens to topple the Islamic Republic.

Rep. Pat Fallon (R., Texas), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, issued these demands in a letter sent Tuesday to the White House and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

"The leadership in Iran," Fallon wrote, "is beyond reform and deserves nothing from the civilized world. The United States must lead through action, not empty rhetoric." President Joe Biden must "remove Rob Malley as U.S. special envoy for Iran and permanently halt negotiations on a revival of the [Iran nuclear deal] or a lesser than agreement."

Fallon is one of the first lawmakers to call for Malley's resignation in the wake of a protest movement that has swept across Iran and led to a deadly crackdown by the country's theocratic government. The Biden administration has faced criticism from Iranian dissident groups for its muted response to what could be a burgeoning revolution in Iran after more than 40 years of oppressive rule. While the administration has condemned the Iranian government's human rights crimes and issued some new economic sanctions, it has stopped short of expressing support for the protesters' calls to oust Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Malley is seen as the administration's most prominent supporter of the Iranian government, given his ongoing attempts to revive the 2015 nuclear accord and solidify the regime's grip on power.

"Enough is enough," Fallon wrote in his letter to Biden. The United States must immediately get serious about helping Iranian protesters realize their goals of removing the regime from power, he said.

In addition to firing Malley, the Biden administration must rally U.S. allies to isolate the Iranian government by cutting off trade and all diplomatic relations, Fallon said.
Iranian drones and the West's position
We have not seen Western capitals as riled up and angry about Iranian drones as we have lately. There is often talk of sanctions, retaliation, and diplomatic steps as part of the West's handling of Iranian drones, which play an influential role in the ongoing military conflict inside Ukraine.

Iranian drones are not a new dossier for Western leaders, but they have played dangerous roles that have affected Western strategic interests in the Middle East, as their targets were Saudi and Emirati facilities.

Used in several attacks in Iraq, a drone arsenal belonging to the Lebanese Hezbollah threatens the security and stability of Israel, to which Western capitals never fail to reiterate their support against any threat. The West only resented these drones when they interfered with the war in Ukraine.

We are not talking about the legality of this use or not, we are not considering the legal or even humanitarian aspects of the course of the conflict, nor are we considering the West's claims about the presence of these drones on the battlefields, nor the reliability of Iran's repeated official denials about it.

But we are simply discussing the idea of an eye that sees only what it wants when it wants. In a sense, the West's dilemma with these drones only began when they entered the line of the Ukrainian crisis to affect its direct interests, in a way that alters the balance of power and jeopardizes the tens of billions of dollars pumped in by Western countries to support Ukraine since the crisis began.

Just recently, Britain joined France in accusing Iran of violating the terms of the nuclear deal by supplying Russia with armed drones in violation of Iran's obligations under the nuclear deal. It is as if supplying the Houthi militia with the same planes used to attack oil facilities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE was not so.
Russia gave stolen Western weapons, cash to Iran
Russia flew over $140 million in cash and seized Western anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles to Tehran in late August, an anonymous security source told Sky News on Tuesday.

The seized munitions include a British NLAW anti-tank missile, a US Javelin anti-tank missile and a Stinger anti-aircraft missile, according to the report. The munitions had been part of a shipment intended for the Ukrainian military that "fell into Russian hands."

The security source warned that the seized munitions could allow the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to study the munitions and even reverse-engineer them. "They will probably be reverse-engineered and used in future wars," said the source.

Sky News published satellite images provided by the source purporting to show two Russian military cargo planes at Mehrabad airport in Tehran on August 20. At least one of the planes was carrying Iranian drones meant for Russia, according to the source.

The case and munitions were sent as payment for suicide drones provided to Russia by Iran in recent months, according to the report. A further order of drones worth over $200 million has been purchased by Russia in the past few days as well, the source added.

Regime leadership shrewdly did not attempt to suppress the women-led protests in Iran with massive deployments of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and shoot-to-kill orders. Such a response might have run the risk of galvanizing even more Iranian men to join the protests.

Instead, Tehran dispatched local police units and specially trained civilian, paramilitary Basij units -- the regime's civilian-clad regime protection forces, to engage the protestors. While the Basij are authorized to shoot-to-kill... Basijis also infiltrate the crowds of protestors to identify the ringleaders.

President Ebrahim Raisi on October 8... was greeted with chants of "Get lost!" Simultaneously the regime was energizing pro-regime members of the student Basij forces to bully students and report on anti-regime campus leaders.

The tyrannical theocracy's judicial institutions are killing and arresting dissidents, which was filmed at several sites. Many anti-regime activists will most likely be tried in special revolutionary court sham trials, at least 1,000 of which will reportedly be public.... Presumably everyone under arrest will be "found" guilty.

If the demonstrations gather momentum or spring up in areas once apparently pacified, the regime might finally deploy massive and deadly force to extinguish their unimaginably courageous citizens -- whose "crime" is to be fighting for their freedom from a brutal, tyrannical dictatorship.

Where are the strong, powerful actions backing up the protestors from the US, President Biden and his apparently pro-Russia, pro-China and pro-despot administration?

“The pivotal role that Jews played in our society for thousands of years has been left with inadequate replacement,” lamented Libyan Minister of Genocidal Rage Biashlo Kadarka. “Other religious minorities, even Christians, are fun to persecute, sure, but it doesn’t carry the same existential thrill. Not even when we mass-rape migrants from sub-Sahara. It might have been short-sighted to get rid of our Jews. With a little more long-term planning we could be celebrating Kristallnacht for real, not just observing its anniversary.”
