Yet it is allowed to operate freely by the Palestinian Authority, where it is part of Fatah, Mahmoud Abbas' ruling party.
Here are photos and video from a rally in Yatta, near Hebron, on Wednesday. The terrorists are masked, openly firing weapons, and the Palestinian Authority condones this open display of violence by a known terror organization.
Most real governments would ban a separate military group from roaming the streets, masked, firing in the air. But Mahmoud Abbas' government doesn't have a problem with them. They gave permission for this rally, whether explicit or implicit.
The Aqsa Brigades have been responsible for numerous terror attacks, including some of the most heinous suicide bombings of the second intifada, killing well over a hundred Israelis.
And Mahmoud Abbas' Palestinian Authority is on their side.
So why exactly does the world consider the PA to be moderate again?
