Haaretz (Hebrew) describes how attendance at Jewish museums in Europe and the US has declined sharply since October 7.
Anti-Zionists insist, loudly, that they are not antisemitic.
If that is true, what is the link between the two? Why should people stop visiting museums?
Al Quds al Arabi refers to the Haaretz article and says more explicitly - the reason for the decline is because of Israel's "war crimes." But that means that this Arab outlet is explicitly linking Jewish institutions with Israeli actions, even though these institutions have nothing to do with Israel.
And that is the point.
Everyone knows that the dramatic rise in antisemitism is linked to the anti-Israel activities since October 7. The proof it that even if they are not willing to say it, they act that way.
London park officials covered over a Holocaust memorial in Hyde Park with blue tarp ahead of a planned "pro-Palestinian" protest. Why? Because they know that it is a target from the very people who insist that they are not antisemitic and who claim that they honor the memory of the Holocaust.
Haaretz says "managers of many venues speak of an atmosphere of fear [and] harassment." They know they are targets of harassment, vandalism and other attacks. And they know who is attacking them.
Recently, at the Free Press, a reporter went undercover as a "pro-Palestinian activist." In February her group confronted dozens of families eating at an outdoor McDonalds restaurant and screamed at the terrified children, "You eat the flesh of Palestinian children!" If families at a McDonalds are being harassed for their imaginary links to Israel, what is happening at museums and synagogues?
We know the answer. We know Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were shot to death outside the Capital Jewish Museum last May. We know that protesters have blocked entrances to synagogues. We know that Jewish schools in Canada have been subjected to repeated gunshots. We know that synagogues in Australia have been targeted with vandalism. We know that happened at Temple Israel in Michigan last month.
We know. Everyone knows. Even Arab media knows. The correlation between "anti-Zionism" and antisemitic attacks is undeniable. Actions speak louder than words and people are avoiding areas that are more likely to endanger their families
Despite the denials, despite the media constantly assuring us that this is only about Gaza and not Jews, everyone knows that the attackers of Jewish institutions overwhelmingly call themselves "pro-Palestinian."
