Someone forgot to tell Jordanian writer Mohamed Fouad Zaid Al-Kilani that he is supposed to substitute "Zionist" for "Jew" in his essays.

Al-Kilani has written extensively for Palestinian, Jordanian and Iraqi media. In today's Kitabat he writes that there really isn't any normalization between Arabs and Israel, because Arabs remain as patriotically antisemitic as they ever were.

And he is damned proud of it.

There is much evidence of the fakeness of this normalization. Whether it is through sports, media, education or politics, we find the exact opposite, that Arab peoples refuse to deal in any way with this mortal enemy.

In the matches that were held some time ago in Japan, Arab players refused to play with the Jewish team, despite the sports regulations and the slogan "sports for all."

In the artistic community as well, there are large protests, if any Jew is dealt with, in any artwork, meeting or otherwise, this is rejected by the Arab peoples.

What happened in Iraq recently in terms of a conference of normalization with the Jews, the Iraqi government had an honorable position by bringing the organizers of the meeting of the printers and interrogating them. On the political level, the Arab delegations refuse to sit with this mortal enemy in any conference or gathering in which these Zionists are present.

In terms of education, the Arabs still reject the Israeli presence occupying Palestine, and teach in schools that its only and first enemy is the Jew occupying an Arab country. The idea of many generations is still rooted in rejecting this parasite in the middle of Arab countries. The examples of this are very many, they are countless, so normalization or a meeting here or there is nothing but news in the channels of sedition, and the truth is the exact opposite.
Naked Jew-hate is still prevalent in Arab media, although it now has competition with articles that are sympathetic towards Jews, something that was rare a few years ago.

Even so, just today we have an article in Al Quds arguing to make the Palestinian cause a more religious war, that says "the imperialist Zionist project employed Talmudicism - which interpreted the Torah according to the hatreds of the diaspora’s psychology - in favor of its colonial and settler tendencies."

A Yemen newspaper rails against Saudi Arabia allowing a rabbi to visit, disgusted that the Jew was "desecrating the country."

And yet some people keep insisting that there is no Arab antisemitism, and it is all anti-Zionism.

Here is the header of the (French language) "EuroPalestine" site.

The words "Boycott Israel" are much larger than the site name itself!

Nothing about Palestinian culture or music or cuisine or poetry. Just attacks on Israel.

Or, maybe, on Jews.

In the top article at this time of this writing, a roundup of the week's news, it says:

It is not good to pray in Al-Aqsa, the third holiest site of Islam, and the hypothetical location of Herod's temple! On the esplanade of the mosques, the almost daily provocations, around 9 a.m., by Jewish supremacists protected by the army are not always limited to slogans and insults. Sometimes, on the 27th for example, these thugs in kippahs amuse themselves by molesting the faithful Muslims, as if to transform this colonial conflict into a religious war.
Really? The religious Jews"molested" the Muslim worshippers?

Anyone who has visited the Temple Mount - or even watched videos - knows that the police keep the Muslims far away from the Jews - to protect the Jews. If one of the Jewish visitors managed to run away from the tight group and touch a Muslim it would have been screaming headlines.

So we have Temple denial, lies about Jews, snide comments about their kippot, more lies about Jews, and then this photo to illustrate it:

Isn't their behavior outrageous?

In this case, EuroPalestine has proven itself to be not only anti-Israel but antisemitic.

The "Who We Are" section of this antisemitic site, naturally, insists it cares about human rights:

We citizens of all origins, committed to respect for human rights, international law and justice for all the peoples of the world, are determined to tirelessly denounce the occupation of the Palestinian territories which has endured for decades and which threatens seriously world peace.

The brutal repression suffered by the Palestinian people, the destruction of their houses, their cultures, their health and educational infrastructures, their social organization, aims to drive them out of their lands.

The State of Israel, which has always refused to define its borders in order to be able to annex more and more territory, has turned its back on all just solutions despite the many concessions made by the Palestinians over the years.
You can't even spoof these idiots. Lying is a basic part of their very identity.

From the official Palestinian Authority Wafa news agency:
Acting Secretary of Endowments and Religious Affairs Husam Abu al-Rub condemned that the Israeli occupation forces demolished the Umm Qisa mosque at dawn [Wednesday] in the Badawi al-Zuwaidin and Basitah community of al-Ka'abneh Village Council and Umm al-Daraj in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron .

Abu al-Rub stated that the demolition of mosques clearly indicates the barbarism that the racist Israeli incitement machine has exhibited towards Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine, adding that this crime is a blatant attack on Muslims and their feelings .

Abu al-Rub stressed that there are no longer safe places of worship in light of the attacks and crimes that the Israeli occupation and the herds of settlers perform, saying that this racist assault is added to the list of Israeli crimes against holy sites .

Abu al-Rub called on international Islamic institutions such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Islamic Conference, and the Arab and Islamic countries to intervene and work to stop and end these attacks.
This is being reported widely in Arabic media.

Only one problem: There was never a mosque.

Israel demolished an illegal structure  in Area C that was under construction, which the Palestinians claim was going to be a mosque. A notice warning of the demolition was given ten days ago.

There is no photo of this "mosque." The photos of the area after the demolition show an amount of rubble that is not close to what a building would have.

Even if you consider the area occupied, Israel has the obligation under international law to uphold zoning laws and not allow anyone (including Jews) to throw up a building wherever they want.

Palestinians know very well the propaganda value of saying that Israel is demolishing schools and mosques, so they build or claim to build these structures in strategic locations to claim land in Area C.

So this minister gets headlines falsely claiming Israel is demolishing mosques, and he is even trying to instigate a religious war by appealing to the larger Muslim world to "intervene."

Mahmoud Abbas' annual Christmas message wasn't quite as obsessively about Israel as usual, but what he did say was offensive.
We face every day the policies of the Israeli occupation and its aggressive practices against our Islamic and Christian sanctities, the most recent of which was the attack on the Church of the Gethsemane in Jerusalem, in addition to the attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, persecution, repression, and the herds of settlers.
He is blaming the arson attack on the church on Israel altogether.

He is saying Jews must be banned from visiting their holiest site.

He is claiming that Israel specifically attacks Christian and Muslim sites, trying to incite a religious war.

Despite all of this, we are steadfast, and are confident of victory and freedom, as we deserve justice for our cause, a decent life for our people and the end of the occupation, and our people gained their freedom and independence in their own state and whose capital is East Jerusalem, a state that is not separated by the racist walls of that holy city
.He is calling the separation barrier a "racist wall" - perhaps because it saves lives.

Because this is not nearly as offensive as his usual Christmas speeches, no one reports on this. But if a purported leader of an entity recognize by many as a state spouts lies, antisemitism and slander, it is newsworthy - even if it is only 60% as hateful as usual.

I don't even know how to wrap my head around this.

Earlier this week it was revealed that, in blatant disregard for COVID guidelines and of people's lives, a Satmar Chassidic group in Brooklyn had held a massive wedding with 7,000 maskless participants.

Mayor DeBlasio decided to give a hefty $15,000 fine to the synagogue that hosts the social hall, Yetev Lev D’Satmar.

Last year we reported about the blatantly antisemitic TruNews network, whose leader, Rick Wiles, said on his show that "Jews ...are deceivers, they plot, they lie, they do whatever they have to do to accomplish their political agenda....People are going to be forced, possibly by this Christmas, to take a stand because of this Jew coup in the United States. ...You have been taken over by a Jewish cabal. The church of Jesus Christ, you’re next. Get it through your head! They’re coming for you. There will be a purge. That’s the next thing that happens when Jews take over a country, they kill millions of Christians."

Earlier this year, Wiles said that COVID was a punishment from God to Jews who don't accept Jesus.

That same Rick Wiles offered to pay the  fine for the Satmar shul - and the Satmars are happy to accept  the cash from the antisemite who wants to incite a religious war in American between Jews and Christians.
Another Satmar account claimed that HQSatmar was fake:
But HQSatmar seems legit to my untrained eye, with far more followers and a feed that seems more in sync with the Satmar community's public political positions. (UPDATE: I'm told that this account does not speak for any segment of Satmar.)

Naturally, people started tweeting to TruNews about their blatant antisemitism, wondering how they can donate money to a synagogue. TruNews' response is mind-blowing:
Suddenly, the Jew-haters at TruNews are claiming that they love Jews - and only hate Zionism!

The far-Right antisemites are now issuing talking points that are identical to far-Left antisemites!

And how does the far-Left respond to this?

JewishWorker, a socialist account and website, followed the TruNews/Satmar story with the proper level of astonishment. But then, in response to the far-Right using a far-Left talking point, the anti-Zionist Leftists used a Zionist talking point!

His account name is "Zionism is Goyish" - which sounds exactly like Satmar. But when TruNews befriends Satmar, suddenly the openly anti-Zionist Jewish Worker turns his back on his fellow socialist Left anti-Zionists - who indeed hate 90% of Jews - and effectively calls them antisemites.

My head is spinning.

The Bab al Rahma prayer room on the northeast section of the Temple Mount was closed by Israel in 2003 because it was used by Hamas as a terror base.

Last year the Palestinians forced it open and Israel had to close it again, and last week an Israeli court upheld that closure after Jerusalem police said it was again being used as a Hamas base.

Now, both Hamas and the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ekrema Sabri are trying to incite violence by  saying that Israel intends to turn the building into a synagogue.

Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, confirmed that the continuous Israeli campaign against the chapel "Bab Al-Rahma" at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, comes as part of plans to seize the chapel and turn it into a synagogue.

"The occupation has plans and ambitions to convert the chapel of Bab al-Rahma into a synagogue, from which the occupation authorities proceed to control the eastern region, and then extend full sovereignty over the Al-Aqsa."

Sheikh Sabri warned that "The pressure generates the explosion, and the answer to the violations of the occupation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque will be in the popular mass anger," stressing that "the door of mercy is an integral part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and it is for Muslims only."

Of course there are no such plans. Hamas and Sabri are trying to start a religious war by making those claims.

In a fair world, though, the Bab al Rahma prayer room would be an excellent place for a synagogue on the Temple Mount.

I have been interested in the site for a while. To the immediate left of the structure are some old beams of wood, barely covered in canvas. (Here is a screenshot from a video I made last year.)

mikdash wood

There is serious evidence that some of these beams could be from the First and Second Temple periods, and conceivably from the Temples themselves.

Matti Friedman wrote a fascinating article about them in 2013.

Mahmoud al-Habbash is Mahmoud Abbas's adviser on religious and Islamic affairs and also the chief Islamic judge of the Palestinian Authority.

Yesterday he greeted a delegation of Christian. human rights and interfaith leaders from Belgium, where he assured them that "Palestine" has nothing against Jews and that the conflict is not a religious one.

As usual, the delegation didn't research who they were meeting with beforehand, and eagerly lapped up Habbash's words.

Habbash, who tells non-Muslims that the Palestinians are not interested in religious conflict, in 2014 he said that  Jihad should be directed toward Jerusalem. "Jerusalem is still waiting. Jerusalem is the direction. Jerusalem is the address," Habbash stressed, adding that "evil hands" (Jews) were "conducting a filthy game" intended to weaken the Islamic nation and "to divert the compass away from its true direction."

In 2018 he was even more explicit that there was a coming religious war between Islam and Islam's enemies, which presumably include the people who visited him from Belgium:

As always, these delegations from around the world are so thrilled to meet with Palestinian leaders - but they never check out these very same leaders' hate beforehand. In the end, they legitimize it.

More than 700 people from 50 countries from around the world participated in the “Together Against the Deal of the Century and Normalization” conference in Istanbul, Turkey on Friday.

This is the eleventh session of the annual anti-Israel conference.

It was organized by the World Coalition for Jerusalem and Palestine along with the Center for Relations of Turkey and the Islamic World, the Pioneers International Foundation, the World Coalition for Women in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine, the World Youth Coalition,  Sports for Solidarity with Jerusalem and Palestine, the Association of Palestinian Scholars Abroad and the World Scout Coalition in Support of Jerusalem and Palestine.

There is  quite a cottage industry in creating anti-Israel organizations!

The head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, delivered a speech where he called on participants in the conference to "develop a plan, a program of action and a vision to bring down the deal of the century and projects to liquidate Palestine."

You know how Palestinian leaders like to accuse Israel of turning the conflict into a religious war? Well, Haniyeh said that anti-Israel actions "represents a legitimate duty and a national and international duty on every Muslim."

These conferences happen all the time. They result in a statement of support for Palestinians and Jerusalem and perhaps vague promises to create a fund for them. Nothing ever happens, and the participants fly to the next conference.

We have lots of ideas, but we need more resources to be even more effective. Please donate today to help get the message out and to help defend Israel.
