Felesteen (and many Arabic media outlet reports that "a child was killed on Saturday evening when an object left behind by the Israeli occupation exploded in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip."
How do they know it was from a leftover Israeli bomb and not a booby trap from Hamas?
Yaffa News says the explosion happened in a "residential area." Hamas booby-trapped pretty much every house in areas of fighting, hoping (and sometimes succeeding) in killing Israeli troops with the bombs.
Here's a video recovered from a Hamas member showing Hamas terrorists planting bombs, including lightly covering one with trash, hoping someone will investigate it and blow up.
Leftover Israeli bombs are easy to recognize. Hamas booby traps are meant to be set off by being hidden. And no one cleaned them up, so children are the easiest targets.
We will never know how many of the dead in Gaza were actually killed by Hamas bullets, rockets or bombs. But we know that the Western media is not reporting about them.
This blog may be a labor of love for me, but it takes a lot of effort, time and money. For 20 years and 40,000 articles I have been providing accurate, original news that would have remained unnoticed. I've written hundreds of scoops and sometimes my reporting ends up making a real difference. I appreciate any donations you can give to keep this blog going.
