Jake Wallis Simons: Greta’s blind eye to murder
There was a glimmer of good sense when Israel offered to provide some education to the activist, who had famously abandoned her free schooling at the age of 15. You care so much about suffering? Come and watch what happened on October 7. Be educated. But now we hear that she refused to do so. Closing her eyes to the reality of what caused this war in the first place, and what continues to perpetuate it today? Priceless.

It was typical of the global effort to erase the casus belli of this conflict and rewrite history to make the victims the aggressors, the victims of attempted genocide the perpetrators of the same crime, the people who had their babies murdered the true baby killers. To be fair to Thunberg, she’s hardly the only person at it.

This week, our most distinguished foreign correspondent, Jeremy Bowen, produced a major piece of journalism – journalism? – which was criticised by the Board of Deputies as containing “unacceptable bias”, as it “seemed not to consider the Hamas war crimes which started and sustain this conflict,” not to mention the gratuitous Holocaust references. For shame.

If we are facing a monstrous NGO-media-digital industrial complex of propaganda, in which Bowen commands the broadcast arm, Thunberg is the brigadier general of its activist wing. In fact, her transition – may I use that word? – from climate campaigner to Gaza obsessive has been as revealing as it is opportunistic.

The juncture between the two identities was quite amusing: for a while, she was chanting “no climate justice on occupied land”, as if the top priority for Hamas was a net zero policy. (Not that Gaza has been “occupied” since 2005, but you know what she means.) Then she simply jettisoned the climate guff, which was feeling rather dated, and went full keffiyeh. Identified as a Gaza campaigner, I suppose.

Let’s stop beating around the selfie yacht. It was never truly about the climate, any more than it was truly about the conflict in the Middle East. Closing her eyes to the October 7 footage crystallised the sustaining principle of Greta Thunberg: she is absorbed in a world of her own. It is a world that began with hating her teachers; went on to hating the establishment; and has ended with hating the Jews and the West, powered by endless selfies.

This spectacular teenage tantrum is most often indulged by people like Gary Lineker, like Dawn French, like Jeremy Bowen, like Thunberg herself, who all supposedly left their teenage years behind a long time ago.

While Israel’s youngsters were murdered at the Nova festival and are putting their lives on the line daily for their country, enduring unbelievable quantities of hatred and bigotry around the world, their greatest critics have never grown up themselves. That’s the final irony.
Hamas Plans Attacks on US Aid Sites In Gaza, Telegram Messages Show
Hamas and its terror affiliates in the Gaza Strip plan to attack American aid distribution centers, Telegram messages confirmed by a senior U.S. official show, threatening to draw the United States into direct conflict with Palestinian militant factions.

"Resistance security is authorized to firmly confront anyone who cooperates with the enemy or its agents, and agents and mercenaries will be legitimate targets," Hamas affiliates said in a statement issued late Sunday to "Palestinian resistance factions" active on Telegram, a social networking site terrorist groups regularly use to coordinate their activities.

The terrorists directed their threats at the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a joint U.S.-Israeli aid effort formed in February with private contractors to replace the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which is known to collaborate with Hamas.

A senior U.S. official confirmed that the Trump administration has monitored the situation to protect Americans working with GHF in Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid.

"These reports of Hamas threatening the GHF and its workers, many of whom are Americans, are deeply concerning," the senior administration official told the Washington Free Beacon. "Hamas should think twice. We are watching closely."

The Palestinian terrorist groups claimed that GHF centers established throughout Gaza "have become traps targeting our hungry people. Their goal is to end UNRWA's mission and turn the Palestinian cause into a humanitarian one to facilitate forced displacement and ethnic cleansing in Gaza."

They further demanded "the resumption of aid distribution through UNRWA—and international institutions, given their legal competence and expertise that guarantee the lives and dignity of our people."

Israel formally banned UNRWA from operating in January after it became clear that the U.N.-backed aid organization employed dozens of Hamas terrorists who participated in the Oct. 7 attacks and helped keep Israeli hostages hidden in Gaza. The Trump administration supported this move, citing additional evidence showing that Hamas systematically steals UNRWA supplies and resells them on the black market to generate profits.
UN aid trucks reached homes of senior Hamas terrorists
Information obtained by Israel Hayom details how Hamas, in collusion with UN agencies, seized humanitarian aid at the expense of Gaza's two million residents, right under the nose of Israel's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).

Hamas had a consistent method of identifying vulnerabilities in the entry process of goods into the Strip. The group created a parasitic mechanism to smuggle items like communication equipment and cigarettes into Gaza via trucks belonging to international aid agencies. This method brought millions of dollars into Hamas's treasury, even as Israel was actively waging a war to dismantle its infrastructure.

Monitoring of Hamas's methods revealed direct clandestine collaboration with UN organizations. Throughout 2024, there were continuous communications between Hamas-linked smugglers and staff from the UN's World Food Programme.

Hamas deliberately used the WFP's aid supply route to smuggle cigarettes hidden inside aid sacks. Internationally gathered documentation paints a clear picture of tight cooperation masked by a public facade of Hamas having forcibly taken over aid operations. In practice, Hamas terrorists routinely seized control of incoming aid trucks, looted their contents, sold the goods to Gaza residents, or stockpiled them for their own use.

UN staff looked on
On several occasions documented in northern Gaza, Hamas took de facto control of aid convoys and goods, publicly declaring it was managing distribution. UN workers reportedly stood by passively.

Astonishingly, some aid trucks, at times up to 600 per day, were directed straight to the homes of senior Hamas officials or to the group's warehouses. The data point to a systematic pattern of collaboration between Hamas and the UN aid agency, operating freely much like its pre-October 7 relationship with UNRWA.

Throughout the war, even after senior Hamas figures publicly declared their takeover of UN facilities and redistribution of aid, the UN never issued warnings or statements condemning the seizures. On the contrary, the UN and its Secretary-General António Guterres are now pressuring the American humanitarian fund operating in Gaza, an Israeli-American initiative aimed at severing Hamas's grip on aid distribution.

Instead of supporting this new organization's efforts to prevent aid from reaching terrorists, the UN is reportedly undermining it, seeking to preserve the system that had long enriched Hamas and its operatives under the guise of humanitarian work.

Data gathered just in the past month show not only Hamas's direct control over aid but also an operational arrangement between Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the WFP. Under this deal, each group received an agreed-upon share of the trucks officially entering Gaza. Absurd display

Uber Eats for Hamas: The UN’s Latest Humanitarian Scam
But don’t take my word for it — the UN’s own spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, admitted on June 5th that the UN hadn’t delivered any food to Gazans, despite hundreds of tucks received by them in the last weeks. That’s right — hundreds of aid trucks, billions in pledges, and... nothing. Apparently, WFP is “having issues” and are canceling the missions approved by the IDF— maybe it’s just hard to find Hamas officials these days when most of them have been turned into red mist.

Frankly, why be surprised the UN has become the Uber Eats of international terrorism, when the International Red Cross proudly serves as a glorified Uber ride service during hostage releases and to transport weapons and terrorists around Gaza. Not to mention making the release of terrorist or better known, “Palestinian Hostages,” from prison the ICRC’s top priority, since October 7th. Next time you open your favorite delivery app, just remember some people in Geneva get paid six figures to do it for terrorists in Gaza.

And while the UN was busy playing DoorDash for war criminals, they’ve been working overtime to thwart the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a U.S.-Israeli backed effort that has delivered nearly 10 million meals to actual Gazans since it started operating. Hamas and the UN don’t like GHF, of course — too many calories ending up with actual civilians, too few ending up with guys who sign rockets before they land in Gazans heads in hospitals.

Even better, Hamas recently threatened GHF workers, warning them to stop harming the “dignity” of the Palestinian people by, you know... feeding them. And UN’s “renounced lawyer” Francesca Albanese screams on how feeding Gazan’s is "essential tactic of Israel’s genocide.” Similar to her nearly crying about how eliminating Sinwar was “not justice” or “The elimination of Hamas is at the heart of [Israel's] genocidal logic." But of course, Hamas didn’t target civilians and rape didn’t happen, according to Francesca.

Meanwhile, the American and Israeli-backed GHF fights tooth and nail to get real aid to real people while being attacked by terrorists, condemned by the UN and by Western media, while they’re too busy quoting Hamas PR releases as “breaking news.”

And the UN? They’re not only silent about Hamas seizing UN facilities for their own distribution, they’re actively sabotaging the only group that’s managed to bypass Hamas’s theft ring. Literally inventing “14,000 babies will die of starvation in the next 48 hours,” and falsely accusing Israel of waging a “ruthless war against children.” Not to mention the ICC issuing arrest warrants against Israeli for “using starvation as a weapon of war” based on manufacture “evidence.”

I guess you could say Antonio Guterres isn’t just preserving “neutrality”—they’re fighting to preserve the catering schedule for Hamas.

So the next time you hear Guterres wring his hands about “the humanitarian situation in Gaza,” remember: he’s probably just upset that the delivery drivers aren’t finding Yahya Sinwar and his friends.

House passes two resolutions condemning antisemitic attacks, amid controversy
The House voted on Monday to pass two resolutions condemning recent antisemitic attacks. One, led by Republicans, which focused on the Boulder, Colo., attack and immigration issues, and split the Democratic caucus. The other, which was bipartisan and highlighted a series of antisemitic attacks, passed nearly unanimously, with just two lawmakers voting present.

The first resolution attracted controversy among Democrats ahead of the vote, but it passed by a 280-133 vote. Seventy-five Democrats, mostly moderates and pro-Israel members, ultimately voted in favor of the resolution and 113 voted against it.

Another five Democrats, Reps. Herb Conaway (D-NJ), Shomari Figures (D-AL), Sarah McBride (D-DE), Johnny Olszewski (D-MD) and Dina Titus (D-NV), and one Republican, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), voted present.

The resolution stated that the Boulder attack, perpetrated by an Egyptian national who overstayed a visa and work permit who threw a Molotov cocktail at activists raising awareness for the hostages in Gaza, “highlights the need to aggressively vet aliens who apply for visas” and “demonstrates the dangers of not removing from the country aliens who fail to comply with the terms of their visas.”

It also praised law enforcement and Immigration and Customs Enforcement and emphasized the need for “free and open communication” between state and federal law enforcement — an apparent reference to Colorado sanctuary state policies that limit such cooperation.

Prior to the vote, Republicans softened the resolution amid strident criticism from Democrats, stripping out one section that described the slogan “Free Palestine” as antisemitic and another one that explicitly condemned Colorado’s sanctuary state policies.

The second resolution, which condemns “the rise in ideologically motivated attacks on Jewish individuals in the United States,” including the attack in Boulder, the Capital Jewish Museum murders and the arson targeting Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, passed with 400 votes in favor. Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Greene voted present. No members voted against the latter resolution.
113 House Dems vote against GOP resolution to condemn Boulder attack on pro-Israel activists
More than 100 Democrats voted against a House GOP-led resolution to condemn the accused terror attack in Boulder, Colorado.

It passed 280-113, with 75 Democrats joining Republicans to vote for the bill. Six lawmakers, five Democrats and one Republican, voted "present."

The legislation was introduced by Rep. Gabe Evans, R-Colo., last week in response to the attack. But Democrat lawmakers made clear they were opposed to language in the resolution that they felt was politically charged.

In addition to condemning the attack, Evans' resolution also appeared to rebuke blue-leaning sanctuary jurisdictions that were at odds with federal immigration authorities, and he condemned illegal immigrants who overstay their visas as well.

A second bill, led by Reps. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., and Joe Neguse, D-Colo., more broadly condemned the rise in antisemitic attacks in the U.S. That legislation netted much wider bipartisan support, passing 400-0, with just two lawmakers voting "present."

But Evans' resolution more specifically noted that the case of terror suspect Mohammed Sabry Soliman, who overstayed a tourist visa and a subsequent work authorization, "demonstrates the dangers of not removing from the country aliens who fail to comply with the terms of their visas."

The Egyptian national is facing federal charges after allegedly attempting to set fire to peaceful demonstrators who were protesting Hamas' continued possession of Israeli hostages in Gaza.

The Trump administration has vowed that he and his family will be deported from the U.S.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rashida Tlaib vote ‘present’ on resolution to condemn antisemitic attacks
Greene, who voted present on both resolutions, said she had declined to support the first because she does not support outsized attention to threats facing Jews. She noted that the resolutions passed on Monday were the 20th and 21st against antisemitism that she had voted on since taking office in 2021 and suggested that Congress’ support for Jews and Israel was driving antisemitism in the United States.

“Antisemitic hate crimes are wrong, but so are all hate crimes. Yet Congress never votes on hate crimes committed against white people, Christians, men, the homeless, or countless others,” she tweeted. She added, “Americans from every background are being murdered — even in the womb — and Congress stays silent. We don’t vote on endless resolutions defending them.”

Greene continued, “Prioritizing one group of Americans and/or one foreign country above our own people is fueling resentment and actually driving more division, including antisemitism. These crimes are horrific and easy for me to denounce. But because of the reasons I stated above, I voted present.”

Tlaib, for her part, denounced both resolutions as “Republican-led attempts to cynically politicize tragic acts of violence — like the recent horrific attack in Boulder — to demonize immigrant communities, praise ICE, and pave the path for the further repression of our constitutional rights to free speech and protest in support of Palestinian lives and human rights.”

She noted that Congress had not issued resolutions when Wadea al-Fayoume, a 6-year-old Palestinian-American near Chicago, was murdered or when three Palestinian college students were shot in Vermont.

“I stand firmly against antisemitism. And I stand firmly in support of a Free Palestine,” Tlaib said in a statement. “These values are not contradictory. Our fight against antisemitism is connected to our fight against Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, white nationalism, and oppression in all forms. We must continue to speak out for a world free from dehumanization and violence.”

Tlaib was formally censured by her colleagues in 2023 for using the phrase “From the river to the sea” on social media. The phrase is prominent in pro-Palestinian advocacy and seen by many Jews and Jewish groups as an antisemitic call for Israel’s destruction.

Greene has also drawn criticism from her colleagues and from Jewish groups for invoking antisemitic conspiracy theories. Last year, she voted against a bill that would have codified a definition of antisemitism because she said it would criminalize the “gospel” that “the Jews” handed Jesus to his executioners.

Ruthie Blum: Israel’s brilliant handling of the ‘flotilla’ affair
Greta isn’t as clever at her antics as she and her admirers seem to think, however. Prior to her encounter with the Israeli military, the former child climate star and current infantile adult taped a short video in anticipation of the event.

In the pre-recorded clip, she declared that anyone watching it should know she’d been “kidnapped by Israeli occupational [sic] forces” and urged that pressure be put on the Swedish government for her release.

That she dared invoke abduction in this context as a TikTok ploy—with 55 hostages still in Hamas captivity—wasn’t merely cringe-inducing; it was abominable.

This made what ensued all the more delicious, particularly as it caused her video to go viral for none of the reasons she’d intended. Having your “abductors” greet you with hospitality, not handcuffs, will do that.

And that was only the beginning of Israel’s brilliant move. After the pampered progressives were escorted to the port of Ashdod, they were given medical exams and arrangements were made for return trips to their home countries. In the meantime, they were shown the 43-minute film of the atrocities committed by Hamas and Gazan “civilians” on Oct. 7, 2023.

Yes, these paragons of virtue-signaling, filled with hubris and armed with hashtags, were shown the mass murder, sexual violence, torture and kidnappings carried out and proudly documented by the Palestinian perpetrators whose flag they love to wave.

Talk about a punishment fitting a crime—though educating a group of ignoramuses on the justice of Israel’s war against the sadistic, Iranian-backed barbarians along its southern border should be seen as a prize, not a punitive measure. In a sane universe, that is.

In Greta-land, there’s no room for sanity. Or integrity. It’s no wonder, then, that as soon as she and her cohorts realized what they were watching, they refused to continue. Heaven forbid they should be confused by inconvenient facts, especially bloody ones, which might put a damper on their mendacious narrative.

Still, Israel handled the situation with class by exposing the “flotilla” pretense as an attention-grabbing ruse orchestrated by people who know little and care less about the region they presume to champion. In other words, it took the opportunity to turn the tables on its haters—with kosher snacks and an equally kosher response to the entire episode.

Doing so served as an example to the world that quiet confidence and moral clarity are superior to performative outrage. Through the calm dismantling of a contrived provocation, Israel upheld its dignity while letting its detractors reveal their own absurdity.
Stephen Daisley: The Greta photo that exposes the hollowness of Leftie activism
The picture of a smiling Greta Thunberg being offered a sandwich and a bottle of water by an IDF soldier is perfect - an awkward moment when the Israel Defense Forces spoiled her Instagram story. Whatever images the activists hoped to come out of their voyage, it was probably not Thunberg being given food and water by an Israeli soldier. It is an embarrassing end to a vanity mission for Thunberg, the climate change activist who adopted "Palestine" as her latest cause.

While it's amusing to see HMS TikTok provoke the IDF into nothing more drastic than snack distribution and a free trip to Tel Aviv, no one should doubt the dangerous folly of Thunberg and her companions. Israel's maritime embargo is a lawful security measure which is in place for a reason.

In 2011, after the MV Mavi Marmara incident in 2010, a UN Secretary-General's Panel of Inquiry, the Palmer Report, concluded that Israel's implementation of the blockade "complied with the requirements of international law." To re-chart the Marmara's reckless course is impetuous vanity masquerading as humanitarian concern. Greta Thunberg should be grateful to the IDF for their care and professionalism in ensuring her publicity stunt ended in sandwiches and not fatalities.
Greta Thunberg Ignores that She Wouldn't Be Tolerated by Hamas
Greta Thunberg's seafaring jaunt to deliver aid to Gaza has been farcical. The great irony of this cute eco-warrior in shorts is that with her exposed legs, dissenting views and freedom to express them, Greta would not be tolerated by Hamas.

Pretending you can sail into a war zone and "help" is a grandiose delusion. But, of course, Greta and her "aid boat" were largely a symbolic protest. What matters above all are the images of the selfie-yacht and the attention they can garner. Being boarded and detained (or, as she puts it, "kidnapped") by Israeli forces gave her exactly what she had hoped for. But unfortunately for Thunberg, the actual image of the "kidnap" is her smiling as she is being handed a pastrami sandwich by an Israeli soldier.

This image will forever be compared with the horror show of the actual kidnap of hostages by Hamas. There are girls younger than Greta, with bloodied pants, their Achilles tendons cut; a mother clutching her two red-haired children whom we now know are dead; a terrified old lady being abducted. But Thunberg, like so many of her generation wrapped in their made-in-China keffiyehs, are not interested in the specifics of this conflict.

‘Goodbye’: Greta Thunberg now deported from Israel
Sky News host Sharri Markson says “goodbye” to Greta Thunberg as she is “shown the door” and deported from Israel after her failed aid flotilla to Palestine.

“Greta Thunberg has refused to watch the 45 minutes of footage of Hamas massacring innocent Israeli families on October 7,” Ms Markson said.

“That tells you everything you need to know about Greta and her group of self-obsessed attention seekers.”

Genocide at 40,000 Feet: Israel Tortures Autistic Child With Sandwiches, Flight on Gas-Guzzling Jet
Graphic images and descriptions of child torture may not be suitable for all readers. Please proceed accordingly.

The Jewish state of Israel has committed yet another genocidal war crime against humanity by sadistically torturing an autistic 22-year-old child aboard an El Al deportation flight on Tuesday. Greta Thunberg, the Swedish climate activist, was "kidnapped" earlier this week after her Gaza-bound resistance yacht was intercepted by Zionist occupational forces. The torture began almost immediately.

Thunberg, who suffers from severe mental anguish on account of being passionate about climate change, was ruthlessly taunted by her militant captors. They offered her water in a plastic bottle—a major contributor to ocean pollution and fossil fuel consumption—as well as a shockingly mediocre sandwich that was also wrapped in earth-killing plastic. Academic experts have described this as a form of psychological torture—akin to mock execution—that is arguably more traumatic than waterboarding due to the existential nature of the climate change threat.

The torture resumed Tuesday morning after Thunberg allegedly signed a deportation order and was forced aboard a gas-guzzling jumbo jet. Aviation is a significant contributor to global CO2 emissions, and it is unclear if Thunberg was given an opportunity to purchase carbon credits to offset the environmental harm caused by her trip. Once aboard, the adult Swedish child was forced to endure physical torture for the duration of the five-hour flight. She was placed in an aisle seat, unable to see out the window without straining her neck. Thunberg's discomfort was compounded by the fact that her seat was in the last row before the lavatory, which prevented her from reclining her seat while being forced to imbibe the smells and sounds of her fellow passengers peeing and pooping mere inches away.

After arriving in Paris, Thunberg was restrained using a wrist-mounted torture device and paraded through the airport. She was eventually released and forced to endure a grueling interrogation by filthy journalists. She described being "illegally attacked and kidnapped by Israel," and recalled how authorities tried to make her watch a cheap fake propaganda video of the alleged "crimes" committed by Hamas resistance forces during the Oct. 7 liberation campaign. Thunberg lashed out at European governments for their "silence" in response to her abduction and torture at the hands of genocidal Jews.

Kibbutz Erez defense squad, with help from nearby kibbutz, repelled Hamas invasion on Oct. 7
Members of Kibbutz Erez’s civil defense squad, with help from the security team of the nearby kibbutz of Or Haner, repelled Hamas’s attempted invasion of the Gaza-border community during the terror group’s October 7, 2023, onslaught, according to an Israel Defense Forces probe published Tuesday.

Between 15 and 20 terrorists attempted to infiltrate Erez. The probe found that at least two were killed on the edge of the kibbutz during fighting led by the local security officers, and another six were eliminated by soldiers closer to the Gaza border fence. The remaining terrorists apparently managed to return to the Strip.

One person was killed during the fighting in Erez, Amir Manzhor Naim, a member of the local security team. Several other civilians were wounded.

Residents and members of the civil defense squad at Kibbutz Erez and Kibbutz Or Haner “demonstrated courage, determination to engage, and camaraderie,” the IDF probe stated. “Their brave fighting in the kibbutz prevented a massacre.”

The probe also noted that an IDF tank crew that deployed that morning to the border, just outside the kibbutz, “reduced the scope of the attack and disrupted the enemy’s plan.” Israeli Air Force strikes also “prevented a large additional wave of terrorists from entering the area.”

Erez was infiltrated by terrorists during the onslaught, “but was never conquered at any stage,” the investigation said.

The findings published Tuesday are the latest in a series of detailed investigations into some 40 battles and massacres that took place during Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, when about 5,600 terrorists stormed across the border, killed some 1,200 people, and took 251 hostages into Gaza, where dozens remain captive.
John Spencer: Netanyahu Wisely Arms Gaza Clans to Fight Hamas
Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed last week that Israel is arming local clans inside Gaza to fight Hamas. This is a historically grounded strategy, and one of the most effective tools in asymmetric warfare. In 2008, I was on the ground in Baghdad when American forces shifted their strategy to arm local gang leaders and tribal groups, some of whom had previously attacked U.S. troops, to turn them against al-Qaeda in Iraq.

We knew that defeating al-Qaeda meant splintering its power base, undermining its support, and making local authority figures an alternative source of control. That strategy crippled al-Qaeda's hold.

During the war in Afghanistan, U.S. and allied forces armed local tribes and warlords to fight the Taliban. In World War II, the Allies provided weapons and support to resistance fighters and irregular militias across Europe, many with unsavory records, because defeating the Nazis took precedence. Wartime alliances are judged not by ideology but by whether they advance the mission.

Arming rival clans fractures Hamas's monopoly on force, empowers Gazans to defend themselves, and denies Hamas safe haven in communities it once ruled through terror. Victory over Hamas won't come from airstrikes alone. It will take local ground knowledge, legitimacy within communities, and the ability to fill power vacuums before Hamas does.
Why Israel Must Destroy Hamas's Gaza Tunnel Network
As long as Hamas and half a dozen other armed Islamist jihadist factions remain active in Gaza and have the capacity to recover, physical security for residents of Israel's western Negev region will remain out of reach, and normal life will remain impossible.

Israel has lived under the threat from Gaza since the state's founding. But as seen in the Oct. 7 massacre, Gaza has become an existential threat that can no longer be tolerated. This is due in part to advances in military technology now accessible to any terrorist, and due to support from Iran and Qatar, which have turned Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) into terrorist armies.

Gaza has become a hub for manufacturing weapons and explosives and a vast warehouse for them, all of it underground. During the ground operations through June 2024, the IDF succeeded in dismantling the organized fighting forces of Hamas and PIJ. It killed many of their most skilled and experienced fighters and destroyed most of their strategic tunnels and long-range rocket systems.

Yet Hamas retains control over 70% of its network of combat tunnels, storing hundreds of rockets, RPGs and explosive devices. This allows the terror groups to wage guerrilla warfare using a few hundred veteran fighters and scores of children they have armed and deployed to lay explosives. If allowed to rebuild, they could, within a few years, again make life unbearable for Israeli communities. Therefore, the IDF must dismantle and render inoperable Hamas's underground network in a way that prevents its reconstruction.

IDF intercepts Houthi terror missile, triggering sirens in central Israel
The Israel Defense Forces shot down a ballistic missile on Tuesday night launched at the Jewish state by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist organization from Yemen.

“Following the alerts that were activated a short time ago in several areas within the country, it appears that one missile launched from Yemen was intercepted. Additional interceptors were launched due to concerns about falling interception fragments,” the military confirmed.

The air-raid alerts were “activated according to policy,” added the IDF.

The attack triggered air-raid sirens throughout Tel Aviv, as well as in the Jerusalem area, prompting millions of Israeli civilians to rush to bomb shelters. There were no immediate reports of injuries in the assault.

As a result of the interception, fragments of the ballistic missile were scattered throughout the Jewish state, with shrapnel reported in the Jerusalem area, including in Tzur Hadassah, Beitar Illit and Zekharia.

Argentinian President Javier Milei, who is in Jerusalem on an official visit, tweeted footage of the interception from his hotel in the capital.

“I strongly suggest that, when giving your opinion about what is happening in ISRAEL, you keep in mind what it it it’s like to live under this kind of situation,” Milei wrote in the social media post, tagging President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Call me Back Podcast: Biden Lead Negotiator Brett McGurk
Following the October 7th Hamas attack on Israel, Brett McGurk was a lead negotiator for the U.S. Government in every round of hostage/ceasefire negotiations in 2023, 2024, and January 2025.

In today’s episode, which we recorded before a live audience at the Manhattan JCC last week, Brett sat down for his first long-form/on-the-record conversation on his lessons learned, including how these lessons inform the current (on-again/off-gain) negotiations over the Witkoff Plan.

Brett McGurk has held senior national security posts across the Bush, Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations.

Most recently, he served as President Biden’s White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa. In this role, he spearheaded U.S. Government efforts across the region to secure the release of Israeli hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza and he coordinated international support for Israel’s defense against Iranian ballistic missile attacks.

As Special Presidential Envoy for both President Obama and President Trump, McGurk was an architect of the global coalition of more than 80 countries together with local forces on the ground to defeat ISIS. He also led secret negotiations with Iran to secure the release of American hostages, including Washington Post reporter Jason Rezaein.

As a senior White House official under George W. Bush, Brett was an early advocate for a change in Iraq war policy and helped develop “the surge” strategy. He also negotiated the Strategic Framework Agreement with Iraq, which continues to guide U.S. relations between the two countries.

He is now a Venture Partner at Lux Capital, a venture capital firm based in New York City and Silicon Valley, as well as a Special Advisor for international affairs at Cisco, and holds fellowships at both the Harvard’s Belfer Center and the Atlantic Council. He’s also a CNN Global Affairs Analyst.

Israel ‘extremely divided’ about Benjamin Netanyahu
The Australian’s Editor-at-Large Paul Kelly reflects on his trip to Israel during its war with Hamas.

Mr Kelly told Sky News host Sharri Markson that the politics in Israel “are bad” at the moment.

“They’re imbittered – a lot of this centers around the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“So the country is extremely divided about that.”

travelingisrael.com: Israel vs Palestine... at the Dinner Table
A father emailed me. His son had just sent him a pro-Palestinian video—and he didn’t know how to respond. This kind of story is becoming more and more common: older generations support Israel, while younger people drift toward the Palestinian narrative. So today, I’m reacting to the exact video the son sent—and explaining why it’s misleading, one claim at a time.

We’ll talk about the infamous “Sderot Cinema” photo, media bias, civilian casualties, the real roots of the conflict, and why so many Western leftists ignore atrocities in the Muslim world—while obsessing over Israel.

This is part one of my response. The video I’m reacting to is over 85 minutes long, and I’m just getting started.

Peta Credlin exposes ‘double standards’ following Hillel Fuld’s ban from Australia
Sky News host Peta Credlin says Australia as a nation must face up to its “double standards” in dealing with Jews and Muslims.

Israeli influencer Hillel Fuld has broken his silence after having his visa cancelled by the Albanese government, hitting out at the "ridiculous excuse" Labor used to deny him entry to Australia.

“Yet no action has been taken against numerous anti-semitic hate preachers despite them routinely calling for the slaughter of Jews and the extinction of Israel,” Ms Credlin said.

“The Albanese government wants to say it's even-handed, and that it's just as against antisemitism as it is against Islamophobia. Well, how come its votes at the United Nations all seem to be against Israel, and its actions on visas all seem to target the friends of Israel?”

Jewish leaders condemn Queens pol John Liu for endorsing anti-Israel Zohran Mamdani for NYC mayor
Jewish leaders and activists have signed an open letter condemning Queens state Sen. John Liu for endorsing staunch Israel foe Zohran Mamdani for mayor, The Post has learned.

The letter, signed by more than 60 mostly Jewish residents in the borough, called Liu’s endorsement a betrayal.

It is set to appear as an ad in local Queens Jewish publications, said the letter’s organizer, Michael Nussbaum, a board member of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and former head of the Queens Jewish Community Council.

“Mamdani has made it clear that he is a virulently anti-semite in words and deeds… As a leader in our county, and a representative of a large Jewish population, we consider your endorsement a slap in our face,” states the missive, which shows the Israeli flag with the Star of David in the top right corner.

“Given the history of hateful acts against our community, this support will not go unnoticed,” it says.

Liu’s 16th District in northeast Queens has a significant Jewish population and his endorsement was a coup for Mamdani.

Mamdani supports the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel and has opposed its right to exist as a Jewish state.

Liu, a former city comptroller and councilman, is an Asian-American trailblazer who is widely respected.

Glennon Doyle's antisemitic posts have no place at pride. Reconsider, Nashville
In Nashville — a city I love and call home — Pride Month is supposed to be a celebration of inclusion, safety and truth. Instead, Music City is platforming ignorance and hate.

Glennon Doyle, a best-selling author and social media icon with millions of followers, was recently named Grand Marshal of Nashville Pride.

This honor is meant to reflect the highest values of the LGBTQ+ community. But Doyle’s platform has become a megaphone amplifying disinformation that endangers Jews — and distorts the truth about Israel.

On May 16th, Doyle posted on Instagram: “For the love of all humanity: FREE PALESTINE.”

Four days later, she reposted a viral claim — since retracted by the United Nations — that 14,000 babies in Gaza had “less than 48 hours to live.” She closed her caption again with the words: “Free Palestine”

Let’s stop pretending this is harmless.

'Free Palestine' has been used to justify murder

On May 25th in Washington, D.C., two young people — Sarah Milgrim, a Jewish woman, and Yaron Lischinsky, a Christian Israeli man — were targeted and murdered at a Jewish peace event. The gathering, hosted by the American Jewish Committee and attended by Israeli embassy staff and young American delegates, focused on humanitarian aid for Gazan civilians.

After pulling the trigger, the shooter shouted: “Free Palestine.”

On June 1st in Boulder, Colorado, another violent attack took place. Molotov cocktails were hurled at Jews in broad daylight — including a Holocaust survivor. The assailant screamed “Free Palestine” as he lit Jewish bodies on fire.

Let’s be clear: “Free Palestine” — a political slogan tied to the Iranian-backed BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement — is doing exactly what it was designed to do: morph into an open call for violence.

These are not innocent reposts. These are narratives that demonize Jews, erase Zionism, call for the destruction of Israel and undermine American values. From Instagram captions to the final words of murderers, this is no longer just a chant. It’s a weapon.
British Band Denies Support for Yahya Sinwar After Showing Footage of Late Hamas Leader at UK Concert
The British trip-hop group Massive Attack released a statement on Monday in response to controversy surrounding a video montage it displayed at a recent concert in the United Kingdom that included footage of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who masterminded the Palestinian terrorist group’s Oct. 7, 2023, massacre across southern Israel.

“Massive Attack categorically reject any suggestion that footage or reportage used as part of an artistic digital collage in our live show seeks to glorify or celebrate any featured subject,” the Bristol-based band — who are avid critics of Israel – said in a statement shared on social media. “To isolate a single section of reportage from the artistic context within which it sits – a digital array that spans a wide variety of issues and themes … – is tantamount to a willful device to create conditions for misinterpretation, or distortion.”

Massive Attack headlined LIDO Festival on Friday night at London’s Victoria Park and during their set, they showcased a video montage reportedly titled “Open the doors to the merchants of death.” It included real-life footage of Sinwar’s family members, including the late terrorist leader himself, walking through a Hamas terror tunnel underneath the Gaza Strip on Oct. 10, 2023.

Sinwar orchestrated the deadly Hamas-led terrorist attack that took place three days earlier in southern Israel, in which 1,200 people were murdered and 251 others were taken as hostages back to Gaza. Sinwar was killed during an Israeli military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah in October 2024. The footage of Sinwar and his family members walking through the Hamas tunnel that Massive Attack showcased on Friday night was released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) last year.

Alex Gandler, deputy spokesperson for Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the band’s display of the footage was “just disgusting.”

“People have completely lost the plot,” he wrote in a post on X. “They are aligning themselves with the worst humans. not [sic] even hiding their hatred anymore.”

Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Music Festival Showcases Tunnel Installation That Simulates Gaza Bombings
A reproduction of a tunnel that simulates the sound of bombings in the Gaza Strip is being showcased this year at Barcelona’s annual Primavera Sound music festival, which opened on Wednesday.

The unique installation, titled “Unsilence Gaza,” allows visitors to walk through a dark tunnel-like path where they hear noises of explosions as well as dramatic, ominous music. At the end of the tunnel, there is a wall with a message that says in English, Spanish, and Catalan: “Silence isn’t the opposite of the sound of bombs, it allows them to happen.” The outside of the installation features the message: “When everything blows up, don’t hide in the silence.”

The installation makes no mention of the Gaza-based Hamas terrorist organization that started the ongoing war with Israel after it orchestrated the deadly, mass terror attack across southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.

The installation was designed by Palestinian sound engineer Oussama Rima and is located by the main entrance of the annual music festival, held at the Parc del Fòrum. T-shirts and sweatshirts with the words “Unsilence Gaza” are also being sold at the festival and proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Palestinian Medical Relief Society to support emergency medical aid.

The Primavera Sound Foundation said on its website that the installation aims to remind people about the power of sound and how, especially in Gaza, it is associated with pain, fear, “torture and trauma.”
Anti-ICE protesters vandalize Jewish-owned community center with antisemitic graffiti
Protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportations that have engulfed San Francisco’s streets this week took an antisemitic turn on Monday night when a local Jewish-owned civic engagement hub and community space had its windows smashed and walls defaced with slurs including “Die Zio,” “The Only Good Settler is a Dead One,” “Death 2 Israel is a Promise” and “Intifada.”

“There is no justification for attacking me other than the fact that I am Jewish,” Manny Yekutiel, owner of the Mission District event space Manny’s, which is in disrepair following the vandalism and break-in, told Jewish Insider. “My business is not a pro-Israel business. I am not Israeli. This is not a space that represents Israel in any way.”

The space was also the target of antisemitic graffiti in October around the one year anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attacks. The most recent attack is currently being investigated as a hate crime.

In the Bay Area, over 150 people were arrested on Sunday and Monday following protests against President Donald Trump’s travel ban, latest immigration policies and ICE raids. Similar protests spread across the country — including in Los Angeles where 4,000 National Guard members and 700 U.S. Marines were deployed on Monday.

Yekutiel believes the protests against ICE are “necessary” because ongoing deportations are “stoking hatred” and “we need to stand with immigrants.” While Yekutiel says he will continue identifying with left-wing causes, he also said the attack on his business makes the protests concerning for Jews.

The attack on Manny’s “undermines the very values such movements claim to uphold” such as “justice and welcome the stranger,” the Jewish Community Relations Council Bay Area said in a statement.
