Sudanese group gathers a million signatures against normalization with Israel while many Sudanese eager to be friends with Israel

A group calling itself the "Popular Forces to Resist Normalization" announced it just reached a million signatures on an online petition to oppose Sudan's establishing relations with Israel.

Anyone worldwide can fill in the form, as I recently did with the name "Adolf Hitler."

The group is hoping that an online petition will sway the leaders of Sudan to reconsider the decision to establish relations with Israel, and if not, they plan to go to court to enforce a 1958 Boycott Israel law in Sudan.

Meanwhile, Sudanese citizens who love Israel are joining the Sudanese Israeli People's Friendship Association.

Al Jazeera says that they have over 157,000 members.

This cartoon on their Facebook page shows Begin and Sadat being proud at the results of their historic peace agreement.

Sudanese newspapers have been showing both sides of the debate.

Things might get interesting in Sudan.
