12/03 Links Pt1: PA: Killing Israelis is good, but must choose place and time so world accepts it

From Ian:

Fatah Knives and ISIS Knives: Palestinian Child-Sacrifice
Instead of educating our children, as they do in the West, to be part of the Startup Generation, we follow the lead of darkest Africa, where children are armed with assault rifles and sent out to kill other children.
If the Palestinians really want to pick a fight with Israel, why do they send children to fight a "holy war" instead of fighting it themselves, like men?
The only difference is that the members of ISIS go out themselves to kill; the Palestinians send their young. Why are these not "war crimes"?
We sacrifice our sons and daughters in the name of Allah, as though Allah were a pagan statue with an altar and had to be appeased with the blood of children.
Here, the Islamists want to "liberate" Jerusalem from the infidel Zionist-Crusader occupation. Next, they want to "liberate" occupied Spain, once Muslim Andalusia, and return it to the bosom of Islam. After that, they want to occupy the Vatican and establish the Islamic Emirate on the ruins of Christianity.
PMW: Abbas’ Fatah honors “heroic” killer of “11 Zionists”
PA Chairman Abbas' Fatah movement never misses an opportunity to glorify terrorists who have murdered Israelis. Fatah found such an occasion last week, when the movement released a new photo of a "heroic" terrorist who killed 11 Israelis 13 years ago.
Thaer Hammad is a Palestinian terrorist who is serving 11 life sentences in an Israeli prison for shooting and killing 7 soldiers and 3 civilians with a sniper rifle from a hilltop in Wadi Al-Haramiya in the West Bank on March 3, 2002. Fatah posted two photos of the murderer Thaer Hammad on its official Facebook page:
Text on right picture: "The first day in captivity"
Text on left picture: "After 13 years in captivity"
Text below pictures: "The heroic prisoner Thaer Hammad, who carried out the Wadi Ah-Haramiya operation (i.e., terror attack), in which he killed 11 Zionists, in a new picture after 13 years in captivity. He is still sitting in the Zionist enemy's prison."

PMW: PA: Killing Israelis is good, but must choose place and time so world accepts it
Jibril Rajoub, Head of PA Sport and Youth Affairs: "The international community does not agree to a bus exploding in Tel Aviv. But the international community does not ask what happens to a settler or soldier in the occupied territories at the wrong time and in the wrong place. No one asks about him! Therefore, we want to fight in such a way that the world and the international community will remain by our side." [Official PA TV, Oct. 17, 2015]
Hafez Barghouti, columnist and former editor of official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:
"After the events of September [9, 2011] in New York, [Ariel] Sharon
applied the term 'terror' used to refer to those attacks, to our national struggle (i.e., terror campaign - Intifada). I warned about this at the time, and called to keep a low profile until the New York turmoil had passed...
Now, after the Paris attacks, we must keep a low profile so that we are not charged with the crimes of ISIS... We must learn our lessons and wait."

PA official on Palestinian terror attacks: They are “acts of bravery, I am proud of them”

Lessons From the Gruesome Munich Massacre Revelations
When Daoud passed away in 2010, Abbas sent his family a telegram of condolences, which read, “The deceased was one of the prominent leaders of the Fatah movement and lived a life filled with the struggle, devoted effort, and the enormous sacrifice of the deceased for the sake of the legitimate problem of his people, in many spheres. He was at the forefront on every battlefield, with the aim of defending the [Palestinian] revolution. What a wonderful brother, companion, tough and stubborn, relentless fighter.”
One wonders how much of a pension Abbas and the PA or Fatah provide to Daoud’s family. Shouldn’t an equal sum be deducted from the $500 million that the Obama administration sends to Abbas each year?
I will leave it to psychologists to analyze what cultural or personal factors would inspire an Arab terrorist to commit that specific type of atrocity. But nobody can deny that there is a grotesque and familiar pattern. Eyewitness accounts document the sexual mutilation of Jewish victims by Arab terrorists in the 1929 Hebron pogrom. The castration and worse of the Jewish defenders of Kfar Etzion in the 1948 war has been well documented. Amnon Rubinstein, education minister in Yitzhak Rabin’s administration, has written about the sexual mutilation of several of his captured comrades in the 1967 war. The grisly list goes on and on.
The point is that what the Munich killers did was not some aberration, but was part of a barbaric tradition among Arab terrorists, which Abbas and his Fatah movement chose to perpetuate. They are the ones to whom the Obama Administration wants to give an independent, sovereign state just miles from Israel’s cities and airports.
And that is the final lesson of the Munich revelations: If someone wants to argue that Palestinian mutilators of Israelis deserve a state, then go ahead and make that argument — but stop telling us that they are moderates and peace-seekers. There can be no more illusions about their true nature. Their own actions speak for themselves.
The post Munich 'Golda Doctrine' and Mahmoud Abbas
And so the decision was taken, by the Israeli government, with the support of the Knesset, to hunt down and kill all leaders responsible for the Munich attacks.
And that is what Israel did, killing off one PLO leader after another responsible for the murder of eleven Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games in Munich.
All but one. There is one PLO leader still at large, with blood on his hands from the Munich attack: Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, the man who, it has been proven, planned and financed the barbaric Munich attack
No new Israeli government decision would be necessary to target Abbas, as a memorial to the eleven Israeli athletes, whose murder he arranged.
In Israel, there is no statute of limitations on war crimes.
Abbas has never expressed any remorse for his actions in Munich. Instead, Abbas makes it his policy to laud those who murder Israelis in terror acts, name streets and schools after them, and, as has now been revealed, allocates funds to remunerate those who serve life terms for conducting cold blooded murders of Israelis.
How Israel Is Being Framed
The attempt to perpetuate an inherently flawed and purposely misleading analogy between Palestinians and African Americans is symptomatic of the increasingly distorted manner in which the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has come to be viewed in the West. The politicization of knowledge among some of Israel’s critics has led to the irresponsible simplification of what is at heart, an incredibly complex affair in which both sides have legitimate grievances. But understanding the real origins of the conflict—a prerequisite to ever engendering a viable solution to end it—demands nuance, sophistication and a moral ambiguity that too many are unwilling to employ. Yes, the occupation is unjust; but, what are the reasons for perpetuating it? How can a sovereign nation, entrusted with the common security of its citizens, justify signing peace treaties with the same people whose founding charter is explicitly committed to their destruction? These are not excuses, but fundamental questions. Attempting to conveniently sweep them under the rug of ignorance by hurling hollow accusations of “settler-colonialism” and “systems of repression” towards Israel that attempt to falsely compartmentalize the conflict into a distorted historical model to which it doesn’t apply, is a betrayal of intellectual life and a mockery of common sense.
Calls for African American solidarity with the Palestinians could be more compelling if their experiences were actually similar. But they aren’t, at least not yet. Israeli police officers who shoot knife-wielding Palestinians trying to stab innocent civilians to death are not similar to police officers in the United States who kill unarmed black men. The former were shot because they tried to kill someone. The latter were shot because of the color of their skin.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a tragedy with no heroes and far too many victims. Let us therefore remember that Black lives matter. Palestinian lives matter. Israeli lives also matter.
Battered by terror, Hebron Jews launch emergency appeal
Today, December 3, is an important day for the Biblical sites, the families, and visitors of Hebron, Israel. The Hebron Fund is holding a 24-hour urgent fundraiser to help the the second holiest city in the world (after Jerusalem) survive and thrive.
The Hebron Fund, a not-for-profit charitable organization, actively provides humanitarian aid to needy Hebron families, supports the maintenance of the city’s many holy sites, including the Cave of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs, holds educational programs for children and youth, assists with tourism and public relations, and supports the well-being of Hebron's many soldiers.
“The Hebron Fund is the Hebron Jewish community’s official sponsor,” notes the Executive Director, Rabbi Dan Rosenstein. “With the recent incessant increase in terror attacks surrounding Hebron, we are really relying on our past and new friends to join in this campaign. The funds will go directly towards protecting and saving lives in Hebron.”
Netanyahu: We could destroy Al-Aqsa, but we don’t want to
In leaked recording, PM heard saying smashing the mosque at contested holy site would contradict everything Israel stands for
Israel could easily destroy Jerusalem’s flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque, but emphatically does not want to, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
In remarks to Likud colleagues, Netanyahu said Israel could rid the Temple Mount of the mosque with little effort, but that to do so would contradict everything that Israel represents.
If Israel “wanted to destroy Al-Aqsa, it would not require a great effort… but it goes against everything we stand for,” the prime minister told his party’s Knesset faction on Wednesday, in a recording played by Army Radio on Thursday afternoon.
The mosque atop the Temple Mount — which is the holiest place in Judaism as the site of the two biblical temples — has been at the heart of a wave of Palestinian terrorism and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces in recent months. Palestinian leaders and media have alleged that Israel intends to change the decades-long arrangements under which Jews are allowed to visit but barred from praying on the Mount — something Netanyahu has repeatedly insisted is not the case.
Two Israelis hurt in shooting north of Jerusalem
An Israeli Arab man was shot and moderately injured and an IDF soldier lightly hurt Thursday morning near the Hizme checkpoint, north of Jerusalem, the army said.
The suspected Palestinian terrorist was shot dead.
Paramedics treated the 47-year-old man and the 20-year-old soldier on site before evacuating them to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem.
According to the IDF, the gunman stopped at the Hizme checkpoint, exited his vehicle and opened fire. Soldiers opened fire, killing the attacker.
Palestinian media reported that the shooter was a 37-year-old Palestinian intelligence officer named Mazen Aribe, from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dis, a father of four. Palestinian officials had yet to comment on the incident, Haaretz reported.
Terrorist from shooting attack outside Jerusalem was a member of PA security forces
The terrorist who carried out the shooting attack at the Hizme checkpoint outside of Jerusalem on Thursday was a member of the Palestinian security forces, the Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency reported.
According to the report, the shooter was Oraiba Mazen Hassan of the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dis, a Palestinian intelligence officer.
Police officer moderately injured in Jerusalem stabbing
An Israeli police officer was moderately wounded Thursday in a stabbing attack outside the Old City of Jerusalem, security officials said.
The suspected assailant, a 21-year-old resident of the Palestinian West Bank city of Tulkarm, was shot dead after he approached a police car and stabbed the officer, security officials said.
The stabbing occurred on Hanevi’im Street, a main road near Jerusalem’s Damascus Gate, close to the seam line between the eastern and western parts of the city.
Channel 2 reported that aside from wounds sustained to his upper body during the stabbing itself, the police officer suffered injuries to his lower extremities after being hit by bullets fired at the suspected assailant by Israeli security forces. The officer, a man in his thirties, and a member of the Israel Police’s Special Patrol Unit, was rushed to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in stable condition and fully conscious, the Magen David Adom emergency medical service said in a statement.
Independent publishes op-ed accusing #Israel of “extra-judicial executions”
Of course, Palestinians are not gunned down merely because they are suspected of a crime, as Saleem claims. Since the latest round of violence began, dozens of Palestinians have indeed been shot, and many killed, by Israeli security forces while in the act of killing, or attempting to kill, Israeli soldiers and civilians. That is, as in most countries in the world, Israeli police and soldiers have used lethal force while defending themselves and civilians from terrorists who were using lethal force.
To buttress her claim, Saleem then adds the following:
In October, Amnesty International released two reports accusing Israeli forces of carrying out “a series of unlawful killings of Palestinians using intentional lethal force without justification”. The organisation documented cases “in which Palestinians were deliberately shot dead by Israeli forces…in what appear to have been extrajudicial executions.”
However, as NGO Monitor and the blogger Elder of Ziyon demonstrated, the Amnesty report relies on anonymous testimony, and presents nothing in the way of hard evidence to support its allegations.
Moreover, the charge that Israeli security forces are nonchalantly killing any Palestinians even “suspected” of a crime is a smear against police and soldiers who are trying to defend against ongoing and extremely well–documented attempts by Palestinians to stab and hack Jews to death – on ongoing spate of antisemitic violence (82 stabbings, 30 shootings, and 12 car rammings) which has claimed 22 lives and injured more than 200.
Saleem’s Indy op-ed once again shows the ongoing pattern in which even the most extreme and intellectually unserious anti-Israel agitprop is legitimized and given credibility by ‘respectable media outlets.
Mossad Tells Kerry San Bernardino Shooting Also Had “Rationale” (satire)
In a bid to reassure Secretary of State John Kerry in the wake of the fatal shooting spree in California yesterday, the Israeli intelligence chief told him that there was indeed an understandable rationale for the massacre, mirroring the secretary’s characterization of attacks on Jews in Paris earlier this year.
Mossad director Lee Nakam telephoned Kerry in the aftermath of the San Bernardino shooting, in which a Muslim married couple attacked a community center, killing 14 and injuring 18. Echoing Kerry’s remarks about the terrifying randomness of the Paris terror attacks last month, which he contrasted with attacks in January on Jews, Nakam told the secretary that Americans should not be worried about the incident, since Mossad sources indicated that, like those attacks on Jews, the San Bernardino shootings could be explained in some way, and were not terrifyingly random.
“Our intelligence arms has gathered evidence that points to a pattern of sorts that places this attack in context and helps give it a rationale,” Nakam told Jerry. “I’m telling you that because it is apparently important to you, given your remarks about Paris, to distinguish between attacks that have a rationale and those that seem not to.” Nakam added that Kerry, and the grieving American people, should of course feel less troubled by the attack in light of this information, just as Kerry himself expected the existence of a “rationale of sorts” to make a difference to the people of France.
Memorial for Yohan Cohen, Victim of Hyper Cacher Terrorist Attack
In Sarcelles, a French suburb awash with forbidding 1960s architecture, graffiti, and gangs, one metallic blue rectangle looks much like any other French street sign in Paris’ grey outer suburbs. But this particular street sign is special, especially now.
Last Sunday, a crowd gathered around a street sign that reads “Yohan Cohen Square (1994-2015) Victim of anti-Semitic attack at the Porte de Vincennes.” The sign serves as a symbol of remembrance for Yohan Cohen, the 22-year-old student and part-time worker at the Hyper Cacher supermarket who was murdered, alongside three other victims, by a jihadist gunman last January just east of Paris. They were buried in Jerusalem shortly thereafter.
There to pay tribute at the memorial’s unveiling ceremony were Cohen’s friends who remembered him as a smiling young man, someone who listened and was tolerant. “[He was] the friend everybody dreamed of having,” one of them said. French politicians also showed up, such as Claude Bartolone, the President of France’s National Assembly. Sarcelles’ deputy mayor, Francois Pupponi, praised Cohen’s bravery. “He died a hero protecting those he could in the store,” he said, referring to Cohen’s effort to save a 3-year-old by tackling a gunman. “We owe him this fight for the victims of terrorism. Yohan died because he was Jewish and French.”
Isi Leibler: Tempering compassion with reality
Sensitive to the despicable behavior by much of the world, which denied a refuge to European ‎Jews on the eve of the Holocaust, I react instinctively with compassion when I hear about the ‎plight of refugees. I am personally sensitive to this issue, fortunate as an infant to have been ‎provided with a haven in Australia on the very eve of World War II. Most of my family in ‎Belgium was murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust.‎
Despite this, I am astonished at what I consider to be the dangerous and irrational gut ‎response from bleeding-heart rabbis, Jewish leaders and organizations blindly calling on ‎governments to absorb en masse the so-called "Syrian refugees" and trivializing the Holocaust ‎by comparing them to the Jews of Nazi Europe.‎
The principal reason to deplore this approach is that the overwhelming majority originate ‎from Muslim countries other than Syria, and 70% of them are estimated to be men of military ‎age. It is evident that the majority of this "refugee" population is not traditional families ‎seeking sanctuary, but men seeking economic enhancement. Furthermore, over 95% of these ‎‎"refugees" are Sunnis, whom Islamic State claims to represent and who, unlike the Jews during the ‎Holocaust, do not face genocide. ‎
Major European countries already harboring a substantial Muslim fundamentalist population ‎will be further weakened by the new "refugees" who, whether Shiite or Sunni, all share a ‎common contempt for democracy, Western values and Christianity, and who, above all, are ‎pathologically anti-Semitic. It would also be deluded to imagine that these migrants will be ‎more effectively integrated than their predecessors who seek to create parallel societies within ‎their host countries. In the absence of adequate screening, the "refugees" will undoubtedly ‎continue to include jihadis, especially taking account of the Islamic State boasts that it has embedded ‎thousands of fighters in the exodus. ‎
New York Democrat says Obama is living on the moon
American Democratic New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind castigated US President Barak Obama as well as Secretary of State John Kerry, and the entire Obama administration, and said that “they are living on the moon.”
He went further to say that as an American, he is embarrassed by this administrations seeming double standards when it comes to expressing sympathy for American citizens killed by terror in Paris, but ignoring American citizens killed by terror in Israel.
In the words of Hikind; “When our administration plays politics with the lives of people, it is a victory for our enemies. For the radical Islamic organizations. They get it. Our president doesn’t get it. He doesn’t even use the words radical Islam. He is living on the moon and not on this planet, that’s for sure.”
Hikind’s comments came during the International Conference Against Sexual Abuse and Violence sponsored by Tahel that is taking place in Jerusalem this week.
“As an American I am embarrassed by the Obama administration, by the President, by the Secretary of State, that not all American citizens are equal.”
French Counterterrorism Forces Raid 2,235 homes, Seize 334 Weapons, Arrest 232 Suspects
In the intense two-week period following the horrendous November 13 jihadist attacks in Paris, French counterterrorism forces have already raided 2,235 homes and buildings, arrested 232 people and seized 334 weapons, of which 34 were war-grade, according to reports.
“In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year,” French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve told reporters.
Along with the arrests and seizure of arms, police raids confiscated illegal narcotics at 165 different locations.
The Minister announced that police had closed down three mosques following the declaration of a national state of emergency. For the moment the closures are considered provisional, and will last the duration of the state of emergency, he said.
One of the mosques was closed Wednesday, after a search uncovered a 9mm pistol, a hidden hard drive, documents about jihad and a life insurance policy. Cazeneuve said that this was the first time that France has taken these measures, deemed necessary because of “Islamist radicalization.”
Report: France could shutter 160 mosques
France is set to close as many as 160 mosques in the coming months, a top imam in the country said Wednesday. Hassan El Alaoui, who is the chaplain for Muslims in French prisons and is in charge of nominating imams for official positions, told Al Jazeera that the closure of three mosques this week was a precedent that was likely to turn into a trend.
“According to official figures and our discussions with the interior ministry, between 100 and 160 more mosques will be closed because they are run illegally without proper licenses, they preach hatred, or use takfiri speech,” he told Al Jazeera. “This kind of speech shouldn't even be allowed in Islamic countries, let alone secure countries like France.”
El Alaoui also justified the closure of the three mosques in Paris this week, saying that they were due to “some illegal things [authorities] have found.” In the raid on a mosque Wednesday in Lagny-sur-Marne, 22 miles east of Paris, officials found Jihadist propaganda, as well as weapons. Mosques in Lyon and the Paris suburb of Gennevilliers were closed last week, because they were being used to “preach radicalization,” officials said.
In a recent interview with Arutz Sheva, Meyer Habib, a Jewish member of the French parliament, said that it was time to shut down the radicalized mosques in France. “We will have to have a review of out national and international strategy in our war against the Jihadists,” said Habib.
Paris Gets Go Ahead for Public Hanukkah Celebrations
Later (and after the headline spread internet-wide) the Times of Israel posted an update saying the original report had been retracted:
Tuesday claim that public menorah lightnings for Hanukkah in Paris were being canceled over security fears has been retracted by the Israeli journalist who originally made the claim.
The public menorah lighting at the base of the Eiffel Tower on the first night of Hanukkah Sunday will go ahead as planned, according to Miri Michaeli, who had earlier reported that police were shutting down the displays.
She says a discussion will be held Wednesday over other displays.
The large menorah at the Eiffel tower, set up by the Chabad movement, is an annual tradition that regularly brings out thousands of Jews to celebrate the Festival of Lights in the City of Lights.
Merkel: Refugees entering Germany must reject anti-Semitism
Refugees in Germany must unlearn the anti-Semitism fed to them in their home countries, Chancellor Angela Merkel said in accepting the German Reform movement’s top award.
Merkel on Wednesday was presented with the Abraham Geiger Prize, worth more than $10,000, for her commitment as “guarantor of basic democratic values and freedom of religion,” according to the award jury.
The German chancellor is donating the funds to the “Dialog Perspectives” program of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk, a foundation for talented Jewish students.
At Wednesday’s ceremony at Berlin’s Jewish Museum, Merkel, 61, said she shared the Jewish community’s humanitarian concerns and worries, wanting to help refugees fleeing ISIS, but also wanting to protect democracy at home. An estimated 800,000 refugees, most of them Muslim, will have sought asylum in Germany by the end of this year.
In order to be integrated, the asylum seekers “must respect our culture and learn our language,” Merkel said. They also must adhere to laws that protect equal rights for women and gays, and that reject anti-Semitism, she emphasized.
Brutal Tel Aviv rape declared terrorist act
The brazen attack occurred in the centrally located Gan Ha'ir mall, when a Palestinian Arab man launched an hour-long assault on a young Israeli couple.
Threatening the couple with a knife in the mall's underground parking lot, the terrorist beat the couple before raping the woman in what has been described as an exceptionally horrific attack.
Ahmed Bani Jaaber of Shechem confessed to the crime as part of a plea bargain and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Jaaber’s female victim opposed the plea bargain, because it did not require him to confess that he was motivated by nationalist hate, initially preventing her from being recognized as a victim of terrorism.
She will now be fully compensated for her trauma in accordance with her status as a terror victim.
Israel arrests Jewish terror suspects in deadly firebombing
Police and Shin Bet security service agents recently arrested multiple Jewish terror suspects who may have been involved in the fatal firebombing of the Dawabsha family home in the Palestinian village of Duma, officials said Thursday.
The authorities said in a statement that investigators were checking “concrete suspicions” that they were involved in the deadly July attack.
Suspected Jewish extremists torched the Dawabsha home on July 31 while the family slept inside. Ali Dawabsha, the family’s 18-month old son, died in the attack; his parents, Saad and Riham, succumbed to their injuries in Israeli hospitals in the aftermath of the attack.
Details of the investigation, including the identities of the suspects, remained under a gag order, the police said in a statement.
Palestinian Authority Media Silent on Arrest of Duma Terror Suspects
The Palestinian Authority has found a new form of incitement by simply ignoring any news that might tone it down.
Palestinian Authority propaganda hit a new low Thursday with a self-imposed gag order on the arrests of suspects of last July’s deadly arson attack of the Dawabsheh family in the village of Duma.
Arab media have turned the attack and lack of arrests of suspects into a cause célèbre. Sayeed Arikat, who covers the U.S. State Dept. for the Al Quds newspaper, has raised the issue almost every week.
UPDATE: Following the report below, the Ma’an News Agency reported on the arrests. The Palestinian Authority website WAFA continued to ignore them.
Israel denies billing Palestinians for medical treatment of Duma arson victims
Israel is denying Palestinian claims that it is seeking NIS 1.9 million in medical bills for the treatment administered to the Dawabsha family, whose home was torched by suspected Jewish arsonists in the West Bank village of Duma.
Riham Dawabsha, 26; her husband, Sa’ad; and their 18-month-old son, Ali, were killed in the blaze.
The sole surviving member of the Dawabsha family, Ahmed, 4, is recovering from burns at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer. He was recently given a third skin graft, though medical officials say his condition remains serious.
A report in the Palestinian news outlet Ma’an quoted Samir Dawabsha, a relative of the victims in the attack, as saying that the Israeli authorities sent the bill to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
'Red warning lights'Attorney exposes IDF and radical leftist group's close ties
Attorney Tzion Amir, whose services were hired by the Honenu legal aid organization and the family of IDF combat soldier Ben Deri, told Arutz Sheva that while studying the soldier's case, he discovered evidence that the radical leftist B'Tselem organization is in ongoing contact with the police and IDF.
Amir made the worrying discovery from operational documents in the investigative file of the case, indicating the great influence of the European-funded radical group that has been accused of "hounding" Israeli soldiers, agitating violence against Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, and trying to stir up "war crimes" charges against Israel internationally as seen in last summer's Gaza war.
According to the lawyer, the documents show that during the investigation of the soldier who is accused of shooting dead an Arab rioter during massive riots, police contacted B'Tselem to ask for evidence - including the bullet that allegedly hit the rioter.
"We have a document on a letter that was sent by an IDF source in the attorney's office to the organization B'Tselem, from which one can learn of the tight connection existing between them over a period of time," revealed Amir.
"The involvement of various sources that are not appointed to the investigation and enforcement bodies such as the police and the IDF sets off a red warning light for me."
Khaled Abu Toameh: Hamas, Fatah to boycott ex-PA prime minister Fayyad’s Gaza visit
Hamas and Fatah officials threatened on Wednesday they would boycott former Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad’s visit to the Gaza Strip.
Some Hamas officials called for arresting Fayyad and bringing him to trial on charges of treason.
Fayyad arrived in Gaza through the Erez border crossing at the invitation of the Beit Al-Hikmeh (House of Wisdom Institute) organization headed by Ahmed Yusef, a former adviser to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Established in 2008, the institute aims to “fulfill the Palestinian need for a forum to guide decision makers and assist in practicing good governance.”
Hamas said the visit was a private one, adding that Fayyad would not meet with any of its leaders.
Fayyad was expected to stay in Gaza for a few hours before returning to his home in east Jerusalem.
Source: Thirty Percent of Gaza's Electricity Diverted To Hamas Terror Tunnels
Hamas is diverting approximately 30 percent of the electricity flowing into the Gaza Strip in order to power the Islamist group’s newly constructed terror tunnels, a source in Gaza’s energy authority told Breitbart Jerusalem.
Hamas is siphoning electricity from the Israeli power lines that provide Gaza with about 60 percent of its electricity, as well as lines entering from Egypt and Gaza’s only power station, the source said.
According to the source, Gaza’s electricity distribution company recently discovered that power was being diverted. An internal investigation revealed Hamas was using the electricity to power their tunnels.
The source believes the tunnels probably do not suffer from the power outages that Gaza residents experience on a regular basis, especially since 2006, when Israel destroyed a significant portion of the Strip’s local power plant.
Asked to comment on the report, Ahmad Abu Eloumrarin, director of media relations for Gaza’s Energy and Electricity Authority, denied electricity was being diverted and told Breitbart Jerusalem that the report was not worthy of a response.
'Shadow in Baghdad' 'too violent for children'
The film-maker Duki Dror has accused an Israeli arts commission of deleting '2,000 years of Middle Eastern and Maghreb history' after it rejected his application to have 'Shadow in Baghdad' included in its list of films recommended to be shown in schools.
'Shadow in Baghdad' tackles the actual disappearance of Yaacov Abdulaziz, an Iraqi Jewish lawyer in 1972 under Saddam Hussein's brutal regime, and his daughter Linda Menuhin's attempts, with the help of an Iraqi-Muslim journalist, to track down her father's last movements. She concludes that Abdulaziz died in the notorious Baghdad prison known as 'the Palace of the End.'
An Arts Commission approves the 'Sal Tarbut' list of plays, films, music, dance, museums, comedy actors, etc and recommends them for extra-curricular activities in schools and youth clubs of the education ministry.
Dror received a rejection letter from the Commission for 'Shadow in Baghdad' two years after submitting it for inclusion in the Sal Tarbut. Although it acknowledged that 'Shadow in Baghdad' , which has been internationally acclaimed and shown at film festivals worldwide, was one of the few films that depicted Jewish history in Arab countries, the letter cited, " the violent images of executions in the film as being inappropriate for young children." The film shows actual footage of nine Jews hanged in Baghdad's Liberation Square in 1969 as alleged spies.

This blog may be a labor of love for me, but it takes a lot of effort, time and money. For over 11 years and over 22,000 articles I have been providing accurate, original news that would have remained unnoticed. I've written hundreds of scoops and sometimes my reporting ends up making a real difference. I appreciate any donations you can give to keep this blog going.
