09/18 Links Pt1: Bibi: ‘We’ve Seen This Before. There's a Master Race, Now There's a Master Faith’

Netanyahu: ‘We’ve Seen This Before. There's a Master Race; Now There's a Master Faith’
In a speech on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu compared Islamist terrorist groups such as ISIS, Hamas and Hezbollah to Nazis: “We know this. We’ve seen this before. There's a master race; now there's a master faith."
“The tactics are uniform. Terror first of all against your own people,” Netanyahu told attendees at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism's (ICT) 14th annual conference held at Herzliya, an Israeli technology center located about six miles north of Tel Aviv.
“There's a master race; now there's a master faith. And that allows you to do anything to anyone, but first of all to your own people and then to everyone else,” Netanyahu continued, in a reference to Nazi ideology stemming from Adolf Hitler’s belief, detailed in his speeches and writings, that Aryans were the “master race.”
"And what do you do to everyone else? For that you use new techniques. And the new techniques involve first of all, taking over civilian populations, putting yourself inside civilian areas, contravening the laws of war and the Geneva Convention; using your people as human shields, the same people you execute; and then firing indiscriminately at civilians. You hide behind civilians, you fire on civilians. And you fire rockets and missiles.
"And this creates a whole new set of problems. And these problems are born of the fact that it's much harder to fight this kind of terror - much harder. It's much easier to fight an army: tanks, artillery, command centers, open spaces. You destroy that, you destroy the army. End of war.
"But these people, because they're forcing you to face up to the moral limits that democracies obey, are basically forcing you to fight a new war."
Mordechai Kedar: Get Ready for the Real War
The battle against the problematic tenets of the Islamic faith is not bound in place or time and like the genie that comes out of a bottle, cannot be put back in it. Muslim emigration to Western countries unsettles those governments internally due to the Islamic takeover of public space, politics, economics and its image in the politically correct media. In many parts of the world one can say that "Islamic State is here", in neighborhoods that the local police do not enter, in the cities where a Muslim majority forces Sharia on supermarkets, pharmacies, bars and churches – and in the parliaments where the presence of the Islamic State is becoming more and more influential and solidly based.
The really significant battle is not in Iraq or Syria, where what is happening is just the introduction that follows the preface acted out in Afghanistan 13 years ago. The real war, far-ranging and dangerous, will develop once "Islamic State" is eliminated and the vengeance resulting from that success begins to be exacted in America, Europe, Australia and every place where man-made laws are in force. Its goal will be to impose the law of Allah as it is spelled out in Islamic sources.
Anyone who thinks that destroying "Islamic State" in Iraq and Syria will solve the problem had better think again, because the problem is not this or that organization or country. The problem is the ideology that today motivates one and half billion people who believe that the "religion of Allah is Islam" (Qu'ran chap.53, v.19). This ideology will not be eliminated even if we get rid of the jihadists in Iraq and Syria down to the last man. Their followers are to be found in most parts of the world and that world must be prepared to change the rules of the game, otherwise it will find itself putting out fires instead of apprehending the pyromaniacs.
Alan Dershowitz Says Bill Clinton is Wrong: Netanyahu’s the ‘Guy to Make Peace’
Clinton has said the current Israeli prime minister is “not the guy” to make a peace deal with the Palestinian Authority.
But Dershowitz disagrees. During an interview on The Steve Malzberg Show Tuesday on Newsmax TV, Dershowitz reminded the former American president that first of all, he doesn’t get to choose.
“President Clinton has to understand Israel is a democracy. He doesn’t get a vote. The people of Israel decide who their prime minister is going to be, and they have decided it’s going to be Netanyahu. He is the guy.
“He’s the guy who’s going to make peace or he’s not going to make peace. He’s going to make it without compromising Israel’s security,” Dershowitz added.
Noting that Netanyahu has a reputation for being tough and for keeping Israel’s security uppermost in his priorities, Dershowitz said, “I have to tell you what kind of peace he’s not going to make. He’s not going to do what [former prime minister Ariel] Sharon did in Gaza.

Experts see Qatar making tactical adjustment, not dropping Islamist support
Qatar’s gesture in deporting seven Muslim Brotherhood members does not represent a major strategic shift, but rather a temporary, tactical adjustment to overcome building pressure on the country, Gulf experts tell The Jerusalem Post.
Qatar had asked the seven senior figures from the movement to leave the country after its neighbors pressed it to stop backing the Islamists, according to a London-based Brotherhood official.
Israel, Egypt and other Gulf states have slammed Qatar for supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist movements in the region.
David Andrew Weinberg, a specialist on Gulf affairs and a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told the Post that “Qatar’s foreign policy gains a lot in the short term from backing radical Islamists, but occasionally it has demonstrated a willingness to temper this support in response to consistent, targeted pressure from the outside.
“The Qataris would not be encouraging members of the Muslim Brotherhood – and now, apparently, Al-Gamaa al-Islamiya [another Egypt-based Sunni Islamist movement] as well – to depart without serious concerted threats from other GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] members,” Weinberg said. “Indeed, if the press reports are an accurate indication of what transpired, Qatar very possibly was facing serious additional sanctions from Saudi Arabia and the UAE leading up to the GCC summit at the end of August.”
Lawsuit accusing Israel of genocide to be filed in Argentina
An Argentine lawyer said he will file a lawsuit in federal court in Buenos Aires accusing Israel of crimes against humanity and genocide.
Carlos Slepoy told Pagina/12, a Buenos Aires newspaper, in an interview published Tuesday that the suit will be filed in the coming days in response to Israel’s 50-day operation in Gaza this summer. The suit is in conjunction with the American Association of Jurists.
The suit singles out specific Israeli leaders as being responsible both directly and non-directly for the alleged crimes, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz and Likud lawmaker Moshe Feiglin, according to Pagina/12.
Jailed Fatah leader Barghouti: Gaza war was victory for Palestinians
The Gaza war was a victory for Palestinians, and the focus must now shift to a boycott that makes Israel's occupation of the West Bank too costly to bear, says Marwan Barghouti, a Palestinian leader serving life in prison for multiple deadly attacks.
In answers to questions submitted by Reuters via the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, Barghouti urged more confrontation to combat Israel's 47-year occupation of Palestinian territory, setting out a strategy sharply at odds with the more cautious approach advocated by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
"The Palestinians must make the price of the occupation dear on Israel," said Barghouti, who was sentenced to life in prison in 2004 for his part in planning suicide attacks in Israel and other operations that killed at least five people.
"Freedom in Palestine will not be realized until the launching of a broader resistance associated with a broader political, economic and security boycott for the occupation."
Hamas will not break ceasefire, Gaza leader vows
The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza is open-ended and will not be terminated by Hamas next week, at the one-month deadline for the start of long-term ceasefire talks, a senior Hamas official in Gaza said on Thursday.
“The ceasefire continues and is not one month long,” Mahmoud al-Zahar, a Hamas hardliner and former foreign minister in the government of Ismail Haniyeh, told Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar. “But if the occupation attacks, we will retaliate.”
Israeli and Palestinian delegations are expected to return to Cairo in the coming days to negotiate the details of a ceasefire signed on August 26 to end Operation Protective Edge. Hamas’s deputy political bureau chief Moussa Abu Marzouk told the Al-Quds daily that his movement is still waiting for an Egyptian invitation which should arrive by Thursday “at the latest.”
Hamas warns of renewed 'explosion' in South due to delay in Gaza reconstruction
Fighting between Israel and Hamas will resume unless steps are taken to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, a spokesperson for the Islamist organization told Palestinian media on Thursday.
"The circumstances that led to the explosion of the situation in the Gaza Strip still exist," Sami Abu Zuhri is quoted as telling the Safa news agency.
Abu Zuhri called on the international community to "take responsibility" by "lifting the siege" and "immediately starting the reconstruction of Gaza."
The Only Refugees in the World Denied the Right of Resettlement
The news that hundreds of Palestinians from Gaza drowned last week when the boats in which they were trying to reach Europe sank once again highlights the hypocrisy of the world’s attitude toward the Palestinians. After all, the “international community” has designated two-thirds of all Gaza residents as bona fide refugees, even though the vast majority of them were born in Gaza and have lived there all their lives. And as bona fide refugees, they shouldn’t have had to board rickety smugglers’ boats in a desperate attempt to reach Europe; they should have been able to apply to the UN for orderly resettlement right from their refugee camps, just as thousands of other refugees do every year. But they can’t, because Palestinians are the only refugees in the world who are denied the basic right of resettlement.
Granted, they are also the only “refugees” in the world for whom refugeehood is an inheritable status that can be passed down to one’s descendants in perpetuity, generation after generation. Under the definition used by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, which deals with all the world’s refugees except Palestinians, only a few thousand elderly Gazans who were personally displaced in 1948 would be considered refugees today, rather than the 1.2 million actually on UN rolls. So if the “international community” were to argue that Gazans don’t deserve a right to resettlement because they aren’t really refugees, that would be perfectly legitimate.
IDF Blog: After Gaza, New Security Challenges on the Northern Front
The border between Israel and Lebanon has remained relatively quiet in the past few years, though recent events are threatening to quickly deteriorate stability in the area. Hezbollah remains strongly present in southern Lebanon, and is now gaining experience in Syria. A senior IDF officer analyzed the situation, describing it as “unstable”.
The IDF is currently faced with constant provocations along the border, and is aware that confrontation on the northern border is a realistic option. In March 2014, Hezbollah terrorists activated two 20 kilogram explosive devices against IDF soldiers near the Lebanese border. Fortunately, no soldiers were injured in the potentially deadly attack. Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, stated that the attack marked the end of the 8 years of quiet in the region.
Rocket sirens sound across south in false alarm
Missile warning sirens sounded in Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip, sending residents scurrying for shelter late Thursday morning.
The IDF said all five alarms, heard in the Hof Ashkelon and Shaar Hanegev areas, were false alarms.
The army blamed the sensitivity of the early warning system’s sensors, saying that fire within the Gaza Strip set off the alarms, Ynet reported.
Hamas Denies Arresting Rocket Crew
Despite statements Wednesday morning by senior IDF staff, and even Prime Minister Netanyahu, Hamas now denies they arrested anyone in connection to Tuesday’s rocket attack from Gaza on Israel, according to a tweet by Khaled Abu Toameh.
Khaled Abu Toameh @KhaledAbuToameh Hamas: We didn’t arrest those who fired the rocket rocket at Israel on Tuesday.
The rocket fire was a violation of the ceasefire.
The question comes down to whether Hamas is more afraid of an IDF retaliation, or of the PA saying Hamas is collaborating with Israel for arresting the rocket crew.
Gazans reported hearing a lot of IDF fighter planes overhead on Wednesday.
IDF Said Redeploying Iron Dome Batteries Near Gaza Strip
The IDF on Wednesday redeployed Iron Dome anti-missile system batteries to the Sderot and Netivot areas near the Gaza Strip, the local 0404 news site reported.
The move comes after a mortar was fired into the southern region of Israel, adjacent to the coastal enclave on Tuesday. There were no physical injuries or damages from the strike, according to local officials.
Hamas denied any knowledge of the launch on Tuesday and reiterated the commitment by Palestinian factions in Gaza to the cease-fire reached after the recent Operation Protective Edge.
Soldiers Prevent Mass Axe Terror Attack
A 29 year old Bethlehem resident was arrested Thursday by the Border Police when he approached officers stationed at the checkpoint next to the tunnels on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion road. The suspicious-looking character was found to be carrying an axe.
Officials said that the man's suspicious behavior led them to thoroughly check his belongings. The officials found the axe hidden under some clothes. Under questioning, he said that he had intended to attack soldiers in Jerusalem in a murder spree. He is in custody and will be brought before a judge for an extension of his remand.
Jerusalem Residents Protest 'Life Under Terror'
Terror attacks in Jerusalem are becoming too common, angry Jerusalem residents protested Wednesday afternoon - and Interior Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch (Yisrael Beytenu) has neglected to deescalate the situation.
"There is an enemy here. We are protesting here, in front of the police station [. . .] because we believe that the time has come to change the tune of 'come, kill the Jews,' and that [there is] an enemy who lives among us and walks among us," Jerusalem City Councilman Aryeh King stated.
"There is one person who is responsible for this oversight, due to which there is no security today in Jerusalem, and that man is [Public Security] Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch - who simply does not give the police to stop terror."Protestors described to Arutz Sheva reporters at the scene the frequency and escalation of terror attacks.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas To Speak At Cooper Union
Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, who is in the tenth year of his four-year term, is scheduled to give a talk at Cooper Union on "his vision of a future Palestinian state and peace between Palestine and Israel."
According to the event description provided by Churches for Middle East Peace, which is sponsoring the event with Cooper Union, Abbas will talk about "his views on how peace and inter-religious co-existence can flourish in Israel and Palestine with the help of the next generation, [w]hy non-violent protest is the best method by which Palestinians should seek their rights, [and w]hy terrorism as practiced by Al Qaeda on 9/11 and ISIS is inconsistent with Islam."
The description did not mention if Abbas will address the Palestinian Authority's sponsorship of terrorism. Abbas himself granted a "star of honor" to a terrorist in July.
Fatah Accuses Hamas of Stealing Millions in Gaza Aid
“Show me the money:” A Palestinian Authority (PA) official claimed Tuesday that $700 million in international aid designated for reconstruction and humanitarian use in Gaza was taken by Hamas, “over the blood of the children of Palestine,” Israel’s NRG News reported.
Fatah spokesman, Ahmad Assaf, claimed that, during Operation Protective Edge, Hamas’ leadership in Gaza absconded with the money before it reached its destination.
“They raised funds from the Arab world in the name of the martyrs in Gaza, and on behalf of women, children and elders, and they talked about rebuilding the Gaza Strip and Israel destroyed mosques,” Assaf said in an interview with Arab media.
The Fatah spokesman insisted that Hamas’ leadership must “return the money they stole from the families of the dead and wounded refugee families whose homes were destroyed by the war,” and warned against the Islamist group “taking advantage of the circumstances of the war of destruction…”
Hamas Robs Bank of Palestine
Ten armed Hamas security men robbed a “Bank of Palestine” branch in the Rimael neighborhood of Gaza City on Wednesday, according to Khaled Abu Toameh.
Fatah (Palestinian Authority) sources said the Hamas terrorists made off with $750,000.
They specifically confiscated money belonging to the Jawwal Cellular Communications Company, claiming the company owed taxes to Hamas.
Jawwal was the first Cellular firm set up in the Palestinian Authority, in 1999.
PMW: Islam-based hate speech on PA TV: Jews are "most evil among creations," "barbaric monkeys, wretched pigs"
In the poetry segment of its Friday morning talk show, Abbas’ Palestinian Authority TV last week hosted a poet reciting a poem cursing the Jews - “the Sons of Zion” - as “the most evil among creations,” “barbaric monkeys” and “wretched pigs”:
“Jerusalem is my land, Gaza is my honor
Jerusalem is my days and my wildest dreams
O, you who were brought up on spilling blood
O, you who murdered Allah’s pious prophets (i.e., Jews in Islamic tradition)
You have been condemned to humiliation and hardship
O Sons of Zion, O most evil among creations
O barbaric monkeys, O wretched pigs

As long as my heart is my Quran and my city
As long as I have my arm and my stones
As long as I am free and do not barter my cause
I will not fear your throngs
My belt is around my waist, and my rifle is on my shoulder.”
Jordan, Islamic State’s next playground?
The fact that Jordanian government-controlled media themselves are speaking about IS in Jordan shows the problem is already out of control and could potentially escalate.
Nonetheless, Jordan’s government remains in denial. The king’s strongman, Interior Minister Hussein al-Majali, addressed the media on August 10, 2014, claiming that, “There is no IS in Jordan.” A few days later, his own cousin – a Jordanian air force captain – was killed in Syria fighting for IS.
Concerned, the US, the UK and Saudi Arabia offered Jordan the chance to join a NATO collation to fight IS, and the king attended the NATO summit in Wales. Still, the outcome was not what NATO hoped for. Well-informed sources in Jordan confirmed to me that the king refused to take part in the fight against IS. Instead, he wanted the NATO to keep using Jordan as a military base and to utilize Jordan’s intelligence against IS, which has been ongoing for years. NATO on the other hand wanted Jordanian soldiers on the ground fighting IS under NATO aerial support. Reportedly, the king said no.
My sources’ claims are consistent with what Jordan’s royally- appointed prime minister said one day after the NATO summit. Prime Minister Abdullah Nsour told the media, “Jordan is not part of any collations to fight IS and we will not fight wars on behalf of others.” Two days after that, Jordan’s media minister, Muhammad al-Momani, said: “Jordan will not be a part of a coalition to fight IS.”

Assad Admits To More Chemical Weapon Facilities
Reuters reported today that the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has revealed the existence of previously undisclosed chemical weapons facilities including “a laboratory to produce the poison ricin.”
According to the news agency:
Syria has detailed three new facilities to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) as part of an ongoing review of the state’s toxic arsenal, three sources said.
The disclosures appeared to support assertions from Western governments in recent months that the regime of President Bashar al-Assad had not been fully transparent to the world body in detailing its chemical weapons program.
IRGC Commander Reaffirms Iran’s Support of Syria
The head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reaffirmed the Iranian regime’s support of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad yesterday.
Bloomberg News reports:
"Iran’s “support of the Syrian regime will continue” and “we strongly condemn this move by the U.S. which we see as an aggressive and bullying posture,” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said at a news conference in Tehran today."
Bloomberg also reported that Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy, is boasting of its support for the embattled Syrian dictator.
“Hezbollah has to remain in Syria now more than any time before” to fend off the threat of Islamic State, Nabil Qawooq, a senior official in the Lebanon-based movement, said yesterday, according to the Annahar newspaper.
Syrian child sniper discusses killing soldiers: There's nothing to it
A Lebanese television report, broadcast this week and translated by MEMRI, tells the story of these child soldiers, who "arrive here as children and quickly turn into killing machines."
The report focuses on 12-year-old Midyan Abu Al-Qa'qa, who voluntarily joined the ranks of rebel fighters, after his father was killed in battle in the south of Idlib.
The boy operates as a sniper at the Wadi Deifr Camp, east of Maarat Al-Nu'man.
"I get up in the morning and try to shoot some soldiers. Sometimes I manage to shoot one or two, and sometimes I don't. There's nothing to it. I feel fine," Midyan told the Lebanese station.
"I killed my first soldier on this front. When I killed him, I didn't feel anything. He was the first, but then came a second, and a third. I've gotten used to being a sniper," he said.

House Approves Obama's Request to Arm Syrian Rebels
The House on Wednesday approved President Barack Obama's request to arm and train Syrian rebels in the fight against the “Islamic State” (IS) group, CNN reports.
With significant opposition to the proposal in both parties, the vote was 273-156, according to the report.
Many Republicans argue the strategy isn't tough enough to defeat IS; many Democrats worry the plan could drag the United States into another long military engagement.
The proposal would authorize the Pentagon to provide assistance to "appropriately vetted" members of the Syrian opposition and require the administration to give Congress a detailed plan for helping the rebels before that assistance could begin.
Hezbollah, warily, lines up with 'Great Satan' to fight against IS
Hezbollah, which once dubbed the US the “Great Satan,” now has a shared interest with Washington in wanting to destroy IS in both Iraq and Syria. The group views all Shiites as apostates, and is trying to take down both the Syrian and Iraqi governments, which Hezbollah supports.
But the outcome of a sustained military campaign by a US-led coalition against IS may not benefit Hezbollah in the longer term.
If IS is effectively neutralized in Syria and Iraq, the main beneficiaries could be the more moderate Syrian rebel groups, strengthened with promised Western support in training and possibly arms, since they could focus on fighting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The regime, with support from Hezbollah, has concentrated its efforts on defeating other rebel factions and treated with ambivalence the rise of IS in eastern Syria.
Will Oil Make or Break the Islamic State?
Now, with the Islamic State's self-proclaimed caliphate having captured key oil wells in the Middle East this year, foreign oil has become an even more lethal financial weapon-of-choice for those seeking to destroy democracy and further escalate the War on Terror.
That President Barack Obama failed even to mention oil as a critical factor in the war against IS during his speech to the nation on September 10, is an omission both revealing and dangerous in terms of how his administration wants to depict the stakes involved in this latest confrontation with the jihadis.
Pope Says Christians in Iraq Suffering 'Just Like the Jews'
Pope Francis has warned that Christians in Iraq and Syria face persecution just as Jews have in the past, a prominent American Jewish leader said Thursday.
"You have suffered, now it's our turn," World Jewish Congress president Ronald Lauder said the pope told him in a private audience.
Francis also repeated his recent warning that the global rash of religious extremism may have sparked "a third world war", said Lauder, who met with the Roman Catholic leader late Wednesday at the Vatican.
Lauder, a prominent philanthropist and defender of Jewish cultural interests, denounced the international response to the suffering of Christians at the hands of extremists from the Islamic State (IS) and other groups.
"First the Jews suffered savage attacks, and the world remained in silence. Now it is the Christians who are being annihilated, and once more the world says little. Why does the world not react?" he said.
Islamic State seizes 16 Syrian Kurdish villages
A monitoring group said Islamic State fighters had seized a string of villages as they closed in on Syria’s third-largest Kurdish town of Ain al-Arab.
“In the past 24 hours, IS fighters have launched a huge offensive and seized at least 16 villages to the east and west of Kobane,” said Syrian Observatory for Human Rights head Rami Abdel Rahman, using the Kurdish name for Ain al-Arab.
“The IS is using heavy weaponry, its artillery and tanks,” he said, adding that thousands of Kurdish fighters defending the town on the Turkish border were being encircled.
Liberman pledges Israeli help in fighting Islamic State
Liberman told Kerry that “Israel supports the US and backs its efforts to create a wide international front in the war against the Islamic State, and is available to the US should it ask for help in this battle,” according to a statement from Liberman’s office.
The statement also noted that Israel was “keeping in mind sensitivities within the lineup of countries that are taking part and in coordination with US needs,” a reference to a number of Arab countries that have vowed support for the effort.
Israel is expected to take a silent role, if any, in the fight against the jihadist group. Earlier in the month, Reuters reported that Israel had secretly been providing the US with satellite photos of Islamic State positions, which were then scrubbed of any features that could identify their origins and passed on to other countries in the region.
‘We love drinking blood,’ says ISIS ‘vampire’
The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has shocked the world with its beheadings and mass killings and now an alleged member has declared that the group relishes “drinking blood.”
Self-claimed ISIS militant Rabie Shehada, known as “the Palestinian slayer,” made the chilling statement in a video recently posted online.
“I swear we are a people who love death for the sake of God just as you love to live. I swear we are a people who love drinking blood. We came to slaughter you,” he said in the video.
“We love dying for God as much as you love life,” he also said in the brief footage.
British Muslims plead for Islamic State hostage
Alan Henning’s life was threatened in a video released Saturday that showed him in the hands of the extremists who beheaded British captive David Haines and two American journalists. The group says in the video that Henning will be next if Britain doesn’t end its support for US military strikes.
The Muslim leaders said in a letter published in the Independent newspaper that Henning is a humanitarian aid worker who went to Syria to help victims of the civil war. The religious leaders and community organizers ask the Islamic State group to “show him some mercy.”
They say that under Islamic rules, anyone doing humanitarian work “should be commended and held in the highest esteem” and there is no justification in the Quran for the “despicable” threat against Henning. The letter adds that Henning should be released immediately.
IS ordered ‘demonstration killings’ in Australia, says PM
A series of anti-terror raids across Sydney and Brisbane were sparked by a senior Islamic State militant ordering “demonstration killings” in Australia, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said Thursday.
“The exhortations, quite direct exhortations, were coming from an Australian who is apparently quite senior in ISIL to networks of support back in Australia to conduct demonstration killings here in this country,” he said.
“So this is not just suspicion, this is intent and that’s why the police and security agencies decided to act in the way they have.”
Australian police detained 15 people Thursday in a major counterterrorism operation, saying intelligence indicated a random, violent attack was being planned on Australian soil.
Honey, Guess Who’s Coming to Temple? Prominent Arab Leaders to Participate in Jewish New Year Services (SATIRE)
Is Israel slowly starting to cozy up with key Sunni countries in the Middle East?
Based on recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of his government, it appears that the old Arab-Israeli conflict is being eclipsed by a new one: between a resurgent Iran and leading Sunni states.
One look at the upcoming Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) services at several houses of worship around the United States seems to confirm a genuine effort by prominent Sunni politicians, as well as other aspiring Israeli allies, to reach out and connect with the Jewish people:
