Andrew Fox: Hamas is terrorising Palestinians once again
The ceasefire with Israel has also allowed Hamas to turn its murderous attention to any opposition to its rule in Gaza. Throughout the war, small groups of Palestinian fighters and local clans have taken advantage of Israeli military bombardment to put pressure on Hamas. Now that a truce is in place, Hamas has started to brutally eliminate these rivals.

Hamas is trying to instil as much fear in the Gazan population as it can. Last month, outside al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, it publicly executed three men accused of collaborating with Israel. They were blindfolded, kicked to the ground and shot in the head – all to cheers from those who had gathered to witness the executions. Hamas aims to terrorise potential challengers, whether ordinary civilians or members of hostile clans.

Critically, Hamas has openly refused to disarm. A senior official was even quoted recently as saying this would be ‘out of the question’ and ‘not up for negotiation’. Having seized Gaza by force in 2007 and maintained control since then, Hamas is committed to surviving both politically and militarily.

Hamas’s second objective is to influence the court of global public opinion. Hamas has framed the Gaza war as an Israeli-made tragedy of genocidal proportions. This has galvanised international pressure against Israel and partially absolved Hamas of blame for starting the war. Central to this propaganda push is the narrative of a ‘Gaza holocaust’ – an outrageous inversion of reality that casts Israel as a Nazi-like perpetrator and Palestinians as the victims of an extermination campaign. Indeed, Hamas leaders and their media mouthpieces have repeatedly invoked the Nazi Shoah to condemn Israel’s actions. While this media jihad may have been based on lies, it has succeeded in isolating Israel on the world’s stage.

Hamas’s ruthless and malignant nature means it will continue to be a difficult foe. We know it will stop at nothing in order to cling to power. It will use intimidation and bloodshed – and show the same contempt for Palestinian lives as it has shown for Israeli lives.

If Hamas manages to hold on to power in Gaza, any hope for a stable and non-violent future will vanish, at horrific cost to ordinary Palestinian people. It will take real pressure and determination – particularly from Arab countries – to remove Hamas for good.

Regardless of the outcome of the Egypt peace conference, one thing is crystal clear: Hamas’s actions are further proof it is a morally bankrupt, evil organisation. Its aims are not statehood or peace for Palestinians, but the perpetuation of its own Islamist tyranny and terror.

True progress in Gaza remains impossible as long as Hamas continues to poison the well.
Netflix, BBC and Others Sent Legal Letter Over Israel Film Boycott Signed by Joaquin Phoenix, Olivia Colman: ‘Highly Likely to Be a Litigation Risk’
Some of the U.K.’s most prominent studios and screen organizations have been sent a legal warning over an industry boycott of Israeli film institutions.

The letter from U.K. Lawyers for Israel states that the boycott, which has been backed by Hollywood stars including Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Olivia Colman and Mark Ruffalo, is a breach of the U.K.’s Equality Act and may also have a knock-on impact on financing and insurance.

The U.K. outposts of Netflix, Disney, Amazon Studios, Apple and Warner Bros. Discovery are among those who have been sent the letter as well as domestic companies including the BBC, Film4 and ITV. Other recipients include film organizations such as the BFI and Pact, agencies Curtis Brown and United Agents and unions including Bectu and Equity.

“[The Equality Act 2010] is the key legislation in the U.K. protecting against racism and discriminatory treatment,” states the letter, which has been seen by Variety. “If the U.K. television and film industry colludes with acts contrary to this legislation, organizations are themselves likely to be in breach. It also creates a dangerous precedent: one that condones the exclusion of individuals and/or organizations based solely on their nationality, ethnicity, and/or religion.”

The letter also claims that the boycott’s attempt at “selective application — exempting some institutions based on the ethnicity or religion of their members — strongly indicates that [its] operation is based not only on nationality but also on religion and ethnicity.” According to Film Workers for Palestine, which organized the boycott, it does not apply to Palestinian Israelis, for whom there are different “context sensitive guidelines.”

Although the boycott claims only to target Israeli-linked film institutions and not individuals, the Equality Act protects organizations as well as people. This is likely to be particularly relevant in the screen industry, where many actors and producers contract their services through companies.

Studios could potentially be liable for any breaches of the Equality Act carried out by their “staff and agents,” according to the letter. Actors, producers, agents, managers, production companies, producers and “anyone else who instructs, causes, induces, or helps to implement the Boycott– for example, encouraging a distributor not to deal with Israeli outlets, or advising a colleague to insist on a Boycott clause” could also incur liability.
The sinister truth about Greta’s selfie ship
After Israeli forces had detained and removed her from a flotilla supposedly carrying aid to Gaza, all-purpose activist Greta Thunberg arrived at Athens airport on Monday night to a raucous hero’s welcome.

If you listen carefully, though, the crowd seemed less interested in the plight of Gazans than in calling for the death of Israelis. Specifically, members of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). Cries of ‘Death, death to the IDF’ were so loud and protracted that they, and other chants, twice interrupted Thunberg’s press conference.

The 40-boat Global Sumud Flotilla on which Thunberg had been sailing had been intercepted by the IDF roughly 100 kilometres off the coast of Gaza. Those on board were taken to the Port of Ashdod in southern Israel, arrested and mostly flown home by Israeli authorities on Monday. Thunberg has alleged ‘abuse and mistreatment’ at the hands of Israelis – a claim that is hard to reconcile with the sight of a healthy, unharmed Thunberg, energetically addressing a crowd late at night after an international flight. Then again, she could hardly have told the crowd that she had been rescued by the very people they wanted to kill.

The crowd’s intense loathing for Israel was evident from the moment Thunberg arrived. A supporter who introduced the Swedish activist to the crowd emphasised the importance of her giving a speech ‘the day before Israelis use 7 October to lick their wounds’ – which is one way to talk about the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust. These were hardly the words of someone who ‘believes in human dignity and power of nonviolent action’ – a core principle of the flotilla, at least according to its website.

Other members of the flotilla have expressed views even more repugnant. The public comments of activist Sarah Wilkinson afford a glimpse of the kind of small talk that might have been on offer below deck. ‘The Israelis are not human’, Wilkinson said. ‘They have hands, they have faces, but they are not one of us. They are monsters.’ She described Hamas fighters who took part in the 7 October attack as ‘heroes’, and celebrated the news of Israelis ‘fleeing their homes’. She posted these comments along with a picture of an Israeli woman running for her life from Hamas terrorists at the Nova music festival.

There is a distinct possibility that Wilkinson’s views were the rule, rather than the exception, among flotilla members. This week, an Israeli government department published a report linking several of the armada’s ‘steering members’ with Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The evidence includes members of the flotilla being photographed at meetings with senior members of Hamas and attending the funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, the former leader of Hezbollah.

One thing the flotilla appeared to have no interest in, despite its public objective, was delivering aid to Palestinians. Israeli police claimed that none of the ships on the flotilla was carrying food, water or medical supplies. Not an ounce, they said, could be detected of the purported 300 tonnes of vital supplies that the media told us the flotilla was so gallantly conveying to Gaza.


How can anyone now deny these are ‘hate marches’?
Apologism and even support for Hamas – the anti-Semitic terror army that started the war in Gaza with its pogrom on 7 October 2023 – was also in abundance. Marching side by side with Jeremy Corbyn, Green Party deputy leader Mothin Ali and Gaza independent MP Iqbal Mohamed was Adnan Hmidan, who has previously said he ‘loved’ Hamas founder Sheikh Yassin, described the 7 October massacre as ‘legitimate self-defence’ and even defended Hamas’s attacks on Jews in synagogues. Your Party, the upstart party led by Corbyn and Zarah Sultana, promoted the march using an emoji of a red triangle – a symbol used in Hamas propaganda videos to indicate its military targets, which has been widely adopted by Western Palestine activists. One protester brandished a placard urging the UK government to remove Hamas and Hezbollah (an equally anti-Semitic and terroristic outfit based in Lebanon) from its list of proscribed terror groups.

The Palestine marchers reflexively reject the accusation that they are bigoted, hateful or violent. Yet how else can you describe the chant calling for Gazans to ‘put Zios in the ground’? According to the student leading the call-and-response, this cry for the death of Zionists – most Jews are Zionists, don’t forget – was ‘workshopped at Oxford’ before it was unveiled to the public. This was not a slip of the tongue, then, but a calculated demand.

Then, as ever, there was the more overt, classical anti-Semitism. Placards showed Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu puppeteering Keir Starmer, in an echo of the Nazi propaganda portraying Jews as the puppet masters of global affairs. One placard said ‘the world has a right to defend itself against Israel’, essentially accusing the Jewish State of being a threat to all nations. Holocaust inversion was also on display, with Israelis branded as the ‘new Nazis’, equating the defensive war against the Islamofascists of Hamas with the worst crimes in history.

Every time the keffiyeh-clad mob takes to the streets, you will hear chants for the destruction of Israel. You will see placards comparing Jews to Nazis. You will see Hamas apologists and fan boys leading the pack. So why can’t our leaders bring themselves to call out this obvious bigotry?

Saturday’s demo confirms that they are not protesting against a war – they are protesting against a people’s right to exist and to self-determination. To call them anything other than ‘hate marches’ would be to indulge a dangerous lie.
Eurovision organizer calls off vote on ousting Israel after ceasefire with Hamas
Eurovision Song Contest organizers will no longer meet online in November to vote on Israel’s participation in the competition, following Middle East “developments,” the European Broadcasting Union said Monday in an apparent reference to the Gaza ceasefire.

Austria had appealed to countries not to boycott next year’s contest — due to be held in Vienna — over Israel’s participation and concerns about its conduct in the Gaza war, which was sparked by the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023.

Eurovision, which stresses its political neutrality, has faced controversy this year linked to the war, and several countries had pledged to withdraw from the event if Israel took part.

Austrian national broadcaster, ORF, which will host the 2026 contest, told Reuters it welcomed the EBU’s decision.

On Monday, Hamas freed the last living Israeli hostages from Gaza and Israel sent home busloads of Palestinian security prisoners, including hundreds of terrorists serving life terms for murder, under a ceasefire deal aimed at bringing an end to the two-year-old war.

“The Board agreed to put the issue on the agenda of its ordinary Winter General Assembly, which will be taking place in December,” instead of the extraordinary meeting, which had been slated to take place online in November, an EBU statement said.

It said that following “recent developments in the Middle East” the Executive Board agreed on Monday that there should be an in-person discussion among Members “on the issue of participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.”

Anti-Israel protesters in Switzerland attack police officers in capital
Eighteen police officers and several protesters were injured during clashes at an unauthorized demonstration in Bern, Switzerland on Saturday, Swiss police said on Sunday, according to Reuters.

Four officers were taken to hospital for medical treatment, with their protective gear believed to have prevented more serious injuries, police added, cited by Swiss Info news outlet.

Police told reporters that the crowd of about 5,000 was hurling objects, among them bricks, prompting police forces to restrict its movement.

“This behavior… forced the police to use coercive measures,” deputy regional head of the Bern cantonal police Michael Bettschen was cited as saying on Sunday.

The local police tweeted that the atmosphere on the streets was “heated.”

The crowd attacked police officers with construction tools, furniture, stones, fire extinguishers, fireworks and laser pointers, as activists repeatedly attempted to break through police barricades, police said.

Law enforcement personnel responded with tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons, Swiss Info reported.

In total, 536 people were shortly detained at police stations before being released, the report added.


Union of Jewish Students urges action after Oxford pupil calls for death of ‘Zios’
The Union of Jewish Students has described how it is “horrified” at video footage of an Oxford university student at last weekend’s anti-Israel protests in central London calling to “put Zios in the ground”, confirming that it has been in contact with the university, urging them to “act decisively”.

In footage shared widely across social media, a white, blonde-haired student wearing a keffiyeh appears to praise what he describes as “An upright, a steadfast and a noble resistance in Palestine and in Gaza to look to, to be inspired by.”

He goes on to say that he doesn’t want “to yap for too long”, and then refers to “a chant we’ve been workshopping in Oxford that maybe you guys want to join in, it goes ‘Gaza, Gaza, make us proud, put the Zios in the ground’.”

The man goes on to scream the chant, which is picked up by a number of people in the surrounding crowd.

The individual in question, who Jewish News understands is currently a student at the university, has been pictured in videos shared by Oxford Students Palestine Society. It is unclear whether where at Oxford and with whom this chant was ‘workshopped’.

The Union of Jewish Students said: “We are horrified by the footage of a University of Oxford student chanting to ‘put the Zios in the ground’. This violent rhetoric is unacceptable, with students calling for murder and employing a slur (“Zio”) coined by David Duke, former Grand Wizard of the KKK.

“Against the backdrop of rampant glorification of Hamas terrorism on campus this week, we call on universities to urgently take a stand against the endorsement of violence. We are in contact with the University of Oxford and urge them to act decisively in response to this deeply troubling incident.”

The incident has been reported to the Metropolitan Police. A spokesperson for the Met said: “Officers are investigating chants made at the demonstration in central London on Saturday, 11 October. Enquiries are ongoing.”


Hamas Storms Through Gaza, Executing Opposition Groups in Attempt to Cling to Power
As Israelis celebrated the return of their countrymen from Hamas captivity early Monday, the terror group stormed through the streets of Gaza executing Palestinians they claim collaborated with Israel, graphic videos circulating on social media show.

Masked Hamas gunmen sporting the terror group's signature green headband could be seen lining up bound men in the streets and executing them before cheering mobs just as the 20 living Israeli hostages came home as part of President Donald Trump's peace plan. The terror group's rampage suggests it is trying to preserve its rule over Gaza, rejecting the Trump agreement's requirement that Hamas disarm and stand down.

The gunmen seen in the dramatic footage are affiliated with Hamas's Arrow Unit, an internal security force known for terrorizing Gaza's civilian population, according to Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) research analyst Joe Truzman. Hamas's victims are believed to be members of the Doghmush clan, a Palestinian faction that has openly warred with the terror group in recent days.

Hamas is demanding "all rivals lay down their weapons within 48 hours and surrender their leaders," the Financial Times reported over the weekend. The graphic videos, Truzman told the Washington Free Beacon, are meant to demonstrate that the terror group still controls Gaza.

"With the ceasefire in effect, Hamas is severely weakened," Truzman said. "It must assert power by targeting its rivals and those who have allegedly gone against the so-called 'resistance' during the war. Hamas intends to stay the dominant power in Gaza. It is doing this by exacting violence on the population. It's a recipe for a brutal crackdown in the Gaza Strip, and the recently published videos are an example of that."

Hamas executed at least 25 men within the Doghmush clan in Gaza City over the weekend, reportedly using ambulances to infiltrate the family's compound and round up its members. The family issued a statement Monday afternoon in which it condemned the terror group's attacks and called for an emergency gathering of Gazan clans to confront Hamas's internal security units.

How Nazi Germany erased Porsche’s Jewish co-founder, Adolf Rosenberger
Jewish racing driver and businessman Adolf Rosenberger was a co-founder of automaker Porsche, but according to new research based on previously unpublished documents, he was pushed out of the company during the Nazi era.

"It was a multi-pronged process," German historian Joachim Scholtyseck, whose work has been acknowledged by the international sports car manufacturer, told dpa.

Rosenberger was responsible for securing financing for the design firm and ensuring that drivable prototypes were developed into new models, although the poor economic climate of the Great Depression hampered the company's progress.

Rosenberger, who died in Los Angeles in 1967, has been almost forgotten by the public, said Scholtyseck.

The author's book about Rosenberger was released in German in October. An English version entitled "Driven Out - Adolf Rosenberger – Race Car Driver and Porsche Co-founder" is due to appear on December 5.

Rosenberger founded Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche GmbH was founded in 1931 together with Ferdinand Porsche and his lawyer son-in-law, Anton Piëch. He had a decisive influence on the design office in its early stages and contributed to its development as a partner and managing director.

"The independent study is an important contribution to the culture of remembrance," said Porsche chief executive Oliver Blume to mark publication of the Rosenberger book.

"The company is intensively examining its own past and facing up to its responsibility."

Rosenberger's racing career ended abruptly in 1926 after a serious accident at the Grand Prix in Berlin left three people dead. He was severely injured in the crash.
London council omits anti-Semitism from list of hate crimes
A London council left anti-Semitism off a list of hate crimes while including many other forms of prejudice, including transphobia and Islamophobia.

Tower Hamlets “cropped” the reference to anti-Jewish discrimination from a website page promoting support for National Hate Crime Awareness Week.

For four years, the poster on the web page has not made any reference to anti-Semitism, while at the same time listing disablism, homophobia, Islamophobia, racism and transphobia.

The word anti-Semitism has appeared on the council’s printed leaflet and other material promoting the annual awareness event, including a video. But since 2021 it has not been included on a prominent council website image publicising the week.

On Thursday, after a councillor raised the issue and The Telegraph contacted Tower Hamlets, the image online was altered or replaced so the word anti-Semitism was finally visible.

The council states on a website page: “Hate crime affects all communities, and we all have a role to play in recognising it and responding swiftly.”

The controversy over the omission follows the deaths of two Jewish men in the Manchester synagogue attack last week. Tower Hamlets admitted the online image had the word anti-Semitism cropped out but denied it was intentional.

Last year Tower Hamlets bowed to pressure and ordered the removal of Palestinian flags from council buildings and lamp-posts after receiving legal complaints that they fostered division and hostility.

Lutfur Rahman, the mayor of Tower Hamlets, had insisted the flags were “symbols of solidarity and sympathy” for Palestinians in Gaza.

Observers pointed out there was an added irony to the word anti-Semitism being left off the website poster given that the borough was once home to one of Britain’s oldest Jewish communities.
