Two thirds of all US anti-religious hate crimes in 2023 were aimed at Jews

The FBI released its 2023 Hate Crimes report. As expected, antisemitic hate crimes were way up compared to 2022.

But the more you dive into the details, the worse it gets.

In 2022, the FBI counted 2,042 total anti-religious hate crimes, of which 1,122 - 55% - were anti-Jewish. In 2023, the number of total anti-religious hate crimes was 2,699 in which 1,832 - 67% - were anti-Jewish.

The increase in anti-Jewish hate crimes, in raw numbers, was greater than the increase of all anti-religious hate crimes. Meaning that while all other anti-religious hate crimes went down in 2023, antisemitic hate crimes soared 59%.

When you compare anti-Jewish hate crimes with all other types (race, sexual orientation, gender...) it comes in as #2, behind anti-Black hate crimes, ahead of anti-gay crimes, and way ahead of every other category.

Because the Jewish population is so much smaller than the Black population in the US, that means individual Jews are four times as likely to be the victim of a hate crime than individual Black people are.

I don't believe America is systemically racist, but for those who think that it is, they must say that it is systemically antisemitic. Of course, no one says that.

While the FBI doesn't appear to give this statistic, most of those hate crimes happened in just the fourth quarter, after October 7. Which means 2024 will shatter 2023's record.

It is open season on Jews in America, and it will only get worse.
