There don't seem to be very many women and children killed lately in Gaza, according to this site

A website dedicated to the memory of Shireen Abu Akleh has been trying to enumerate every single death in Gaza (and the West Bank) since October 7, with names, ages and even photos for the people it lists.

The database is in reverse chronological order. So far it has the names of 11,798 "martyrs", claiming that the remaining  26,317 that the ministry of health claims they do not have full documentation for.

While I am not going to claim that this is a complete list, it certainly should be a reasonably representative list of the total casualties. And it roughly tracks to the percentages of women and children that the ministry of health used to claim in its detailed statistics - 37% children under 18, 25% adult women.

But its most recent entries are overwhelmingly adult males.

Here are its photos for all the "martyrs" it lists since April 1:

Not only that, but a huge majority of the "children" are males 15 years and older as well.

I do not know their methodology of gathering these names. Since January they only have several hundred listed, and this includes many in the West Bank. But if these statistics can be used as an accurate sample of all the casualties, it sure looks like the IDF is hitting military age men far out of proportion to their actual numbers in Gaza.
