Hamas "martyr" families protest in Gaza for salaries

There has been a series of protests in Gaza against the Palestinian Authority, which had discontinued paying salaries to families of "martyrs" who were killed during the 2014 Gaza war.

While paying terrorist families has been a priority for the PA, they stopped paying many Hamas families a few years ago, apparently when Fatah was trying to pressure Hamas to unify.

On Sunday, which is Palestinian Mothers Day, women and children held a protest for the PA to resume payments to their families, many of them wearing white burial shrouds.

Today, families of terrorists posed with nooses, threatening to hang themselves if they don't get paid proper salaries for being related to dead terrorists.

The timing of the protests appears to be more tied to the planned upcoming Palestinian elections than anything else.

Hamas has its own fund to pay families of "martyrs," almost certainly these families have received payments from them.
