Last Sunday, I reported that Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the banned northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel and who has incited violence against Jews for years, announced a hunger strike to protest the conditions of his imprisonment.The hunger strike was over by Thursday, with no indication that it accomplished anything.
Mohammed Barakeh, head of the Arab Monitoring Committee, announced the end of the hunger strike "because his message got across."
It sounds like Salah just got hungry.
