The blast took place at the southern entrance of the city, an army spokesman told AFP.
Lebanese army commander General Jean Kahwaji warned that France and other countries that are part of UNIFIL have fears regarding their abilities to carry out their tasks in South Lebanon, and their desire to strengthen the Lebanese army’s role, the National News Agency reported on Sunday.Of course, Hezbollah restricts what the LAF can do in southern Lebanon.
During a meeting held in his honor in France, Kahwaji added that the Lebanese army will confront any attempt to harm UNIFIL.
