Israel settlers dump sewage on Palestinian school in Qalqiliya

Israeli settlers dumped their sewage on a Palestinian school in the northern occupied West Bank district of Qalqilia yesterday.

The Azzun Beit Amin School playground was flooded with sewage for the second time in two months as a result of the settlers’ actions.

Principal Alaa Marabeh said it would take more than ten days for the sewage water to dry and this has caused a foul smell to spread across the school building and risks damaging the students’ health.

The settlers live in the nearby illegal settlement of Sha’arei Tikva which is home to some 4,000 Jewish settlers.

They even have a picture of the flooded students!

Only one problem.

The photo is of Gaza and it is from 2013.

The sewage comes from Gaza, not Israel.

But when one needs a photo to back up the lies of Israel drowning Palestinians in sewage, one needs to be creative as to the sources of the photos.

VIDEO: Palestinian father tells IDF soldiers to shoot his toddler son (UPDATES)

I put subtitles on this video that has been going around. I'm not sure when it was originally shot.

It reveals the depths of immorality in parts of Palestinian Arab society as a father urges soldiers to kill his son, whom he is demanding to throw stones.

The father clearly wants his son to be killed on video, with his Palestinian flag. He wants to create another Mohammed Al Dura for his "cause."

This child abuse and desire to use children's lives for cynical public relations purposes is sickness that is simply not reported.

UPDATE 2: It was recorded from a different angle and posted top an Arab site on Facebook, where the "high five" that the boy gave the soldier was edited out while the caption says that the boy refused to shake the soldier's hand.

UNRWA keeps pushing Pallywood

This is the pinned photo that has been on the top of the Twitter feed of Raquel Marti, UNRWA's executive director in Spain, for months. She captioned it "Bath time in Gaza:"

The original photo was taken by Emad Nassar, with this description:

June 26, 2015 . Salem Saoody, 30, is getting his daughter Layan (L) and his niece Shaymaa 5 (R) in the only remaining piece from their damaged house, which is the bathing tub. They now live in a caravan near the rubble.

One minor question: Where did the water come from?

There is no rain in Gaza in June. The house does not appear to have running water. There is no hose visible in the picture.

What are the chances that Salem Saoody takes his daughters out of their mobile home and they carry over 100 liters of clean water with them to their former home to take a bath?

Emad Nassar saw the chance for a dramatic photo, so he staged it to win awards. And the girls were happy to play in a mini-pool on a summer day. So, it appears, Nassar and Saoody spent a morning carrying water to the old bathtub for the perfect photo.

The idea that the Saoodys are forced to give their girls a bath in their old bathtub does not pass any sanity test.

Last June, when this photo was taken, I noted that Hamas had turned the Shujaiyeh neighborhood into a showpiece to bring foreign reporters to show Israel's evil - even though thousands of Gaza homes were being repaired, Hamas left Shujaiyeh untouched. There were a series of such obviously staged photos published by Hamas-leaning and duped photojournalists. And while the terror group kept the neighborhood as a zoo for gaping Westerners, it was building tunnels underneath the very same area.

UNRWA has something in common with Hamas. Both groups wanted to keep families in Shujaiyeh homeless, and the rubble uncleared, for as long as possible so they could maximize its propaganda value and get more funds from credulous Westerners. UNRWA actually made an entire film of such staged scenes in the neighborhood last year,

Of course, if you want to paint Gazans as eternal victims and implicitly blame Israel at every opportunity, this staged photo and inaccurate caption is perfect for you - and perfect for UNRWA and its lackeys. UNRWA created an entire film of such staged scenes in this neighborhood and told kids there to act in ludicrous scenes such as creating a makeshift see-saw in the middle of rubble.

A Fauxtography Story (updated)

This morning, in a reprehensible attack, an Arab home near Ramallah was burned down:

A Palestinian home was set on fire Wednesday night in the village of Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah in the West Bank, in a suspected "price tag" attack. Five Palestinians residing there suffered from smoke inhalation.

“Regards from Eden, Revenge” was sprayed on one of the walls of the house, indicating that the act may have been carried out to avenge the murder of Private Eden Attias, a 19-year-old Israeli soldier who was stabbed to death by a Palestinian teen on a bus earlier Wednesday.

Here is one photo of the burned out home from photojournalist Mahmoud Illean on the public news service Demotix:

The focus of the photo is, obviously, the basketball.

The only problem is that the basketball was placed there by a photographer!

Haaretz reporter Chaim Levinson took his own photo of the ball and wrote on his Facebook page, "See the ball in the burnt room? It wasn't really there. A Palestinian photographer brought it in from the outside to improve the photo."

Roy Sharon of Israel's Channel 10 tweeted the same thing. He wrote that if you see any photos of an orange ball in today's news coverage, you should know that it was placed there by the MBC (Saudi) channel photographer.

Now that we know that this photo was staged, we can look with a more critical eye at some of the other photos taken at the time.

Here is the grief-stricken grandfather probably being told where to walk with his cute daughter, the basketball in the background:

The ball is there, but it seems to have moved.

But this photo wasn't quite good enough, so the photographer needed a better one, possibly with the father but keeping the same cute girl:

They are looking at what appears to be a stuffed penguin, that is helpfully standing up in the damage. But the penguin wasn't there in the previous photo, and is not visible (at least not standing) in the other photos of the same room.

Here are the same two people, waiting around while photographers do their thing:

We've suspected the purposeful placement of toys in photos in the past, but we have never had witnesses before.

And if the photographers that took the photos were not the same ones as those who placed the objects, that doesn't make them any less deceptive if they know that the props they are photographing are staged.

HuffPo features Pallywood TWICE in photo essay on human challenges

The Huffington Post has a photo essay, "29 Photos That Put All Of Our Struggles In Perspective."

Two of those photos are pure Pallywood.

#8 says "The world we've come to love can often seem to collapse around us." and it shows this photo:

A Palestinian family's home in East Jerusalem was demolished in 2013 by the state municipality for not having proper safety permits. The family claimed they were still waiting for the permits to arrive.

However, I showed that the child in this photo, along with others, was playacting his anger for the cameras, as this 11 minute video proves:

Then, HuffPo places at #11, the girl known as Shirley Temper ("Wanting nothing else but to fight back.")

Here's the video, to music, showing all of Shirley's greatest hits:

Fact-checking is clearly not a major focus for HuffPo.

Video: French diplomat punching IDF soldier in the face (updated)

Over the weekend, there have been accusations that the IDF "manhandled" NGOs and diplomats trying to build an illegal Bedouin village in Area C.

Here is the IDF version of the events:

Yesterday, following an illegal attempt by Palestinians and foreign activists to erect tents in Samaria’s Hemdat area, in the northern Jordan Valley, security personnel responded to the site with the intent to implement a standing Supreme Court Decision. At the site, Palestinian and foreign activists violently objected, throwing stones and striking Israeli security forces. The security personnel contained the violence with riot dispersal means, seized the tents and detained three Palestinians who were the main instigators, forcefully objecting to the activity. Reports that foreign diplomats abused their diplomatic privileges are currently being reviewed and, if required, complaints will be filed with the relevant authorities.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Paul Hirschson, said a formal complaint might be filed with the French over the involvement of French diplomat, Marion Castaing. “If she did participate then a formal complaint will be filed because that is not the way diplomats behave,” he said.

The IDF notes that a PressTV video shows that the French diplomat Marion Fesneau-Castaing actually punching an IDF soldier (0:52) of this video. (UPDATE: Video is gone; excerpt is here.) A colleague actually tries to hold her back.

I turned it into an animated GIF:

This video of the incident, lightly edited, shows that the IDF only acted when it was provoked. Soldiers politely shooed away the activists until they kept pushing past them. It also shows some activists smiling after getting "manhandled" because they wanted it to be caught on camera.

Castaing is seen on the ground (2:45) apparently lying there voluntarily, or as part of a protest; she certainly doesn't appear to be trying to get up and no one is forcing her on the ground. She is seen smiling at around 3:15 after her supposedly terrifying ordeal. Similarly, an activist who ignored IDF orders to stay away from the truck and who was pushed away is grinning at 2:17.

It is all a play, where the Israel-haters know that the IDF won't do anything serious to them and they are hamming it up for the cameras.

UPDATE: Here's another angle, showing Castaing getting out of the truck at 6:05. It looks like she is hanging onto the IDF and then dropping to the ground; the soldiers seem to be ignoring her as they are looking at the other activists. If the soldiers grabbed her and dragged her out, it was not a very tense scene. Then a minute later, she simply gets up.

Pallywood training in Egypt as "protesters" pose for the cameras

This video is amazing.

It shows a Muslim Brotherhood "demonstration" in Egypt that was specifically staged to get the most dramatic poses, as the actors freeze their poses for the photographers. Injuries and even bloodstains are faked.

The actors and media are all complicit in the scam.

Syrian Pallywood

Check out this report from the Telegraph, showing Hezbollah TV:

First we are told that the target was completely civilian, and held cows and chickens. We see acres of utter devastation.

But - surprise! - we see a rooster somehow managed to escape unscathed and is hopping around the rubble!

Latest Pallywood

Aussie Dave at Israellycool caught this egregious example of Palestinian Arab child play-acting a few days ago:

At the beginning of the video, a few kids are walking normally. Then at 0:05, one complains about his leg. A few seconds later, and the three kids are standing around, seemingly quite relaxed. Then the previously complaining kid – standing on the right - points to his right leg. At 0:14 he slides to the ground, sobbing.

Fast forward to 1:03, where the middle kid, who has been fine until now, seemingly starts to cry. Then at 1:45, the kid who complained about his leg seems to be walking normally. But at 1:48 – presto! He’s limping. Then at 1:54 he’s lying on the ground. Thirty seconds later in the ambulance, he’s getting his right arm (not leg) - seemingly fine until now – bandaged.

Notice also how the video description claims the kids were beaten, but this is never shown on the video.

Based on previous experiences with Pallywood, I strongly suspect that is what we see in the video. The kid seem fine and then seem to be hamming it up for the camera, only to forget himself when he is walking. In the ambulance, the medic, perhaps unaware of what ailment the kid was pretending to be suffering – goes for the photo opportunity and bandages his arm!

All the world might not be a stage, but Palestinian Arab territories sure seem to be.

Eleven minutes of pure Pallywood

This video of "crying" children and angry adults, as their home is being demolished by Israel, is making the rounds:

Only one problem: There is not one tear being shed.

The video makes it blindingly obvious that all of the children's screaming is staged for the media.

The boy and two girls are clearly playing to the cameras, and turning on and off their wailing when the reporters shove their gear in their faces.

From the volume of the fake screams, one would think that the residents lived there for hundreds of years, or at least since Jordanian occupation. Actually, the house was newer than most houses.

Here is the Ma'an story about the demolition:

Israeli forces demolished a two-story Palestinian home in East Jerusalem on Tuesday, making 30 people homeless, official news agency Wafa reported.

Muhammad Castero, 52, a resident of the building, told Wafa that Israel issued a demolition order for the home 50 days ago on the pretext that it was built without a permit.

"We are refugees now, we don't have any shelter. Where should we, our children and elderly people go after our house was demolished?" he said.

Four families lived in the Beit Hanina home, which was constructed six years ago. The families had hired a lawyer to prevent the demolition.

"This is our land and we will not leave it despite the practices of the occupation," Castero added.

My 6 seconds of Pallywood fame on CNN

CNN referred to the video I posted about that was aired on the BBC and CNN, provided by Reuters, and showed a screenshot of my webpage on Friday night:

The Reuters/CNN explanation is ridiculous. They have the timestamps on the video and they know quite well which segment was first and which was second. And they had no reason whatsoever to publish them in reverse order.

While I have not had time to watch the video news media coverage of the conflict, I am hearing that CNN is particularly bad this time around.

I will note that Anderson Cooper has a mixed record on reporting from the Middle East. To his credit, he was essentially the only reporter who noted Hezbollah's manipulation of the media during the Lebanon war, but he himself didn't know the basics of who Ismail Haniyeh was in a later report..
