Every year, the PLO falsely claims a Jew firebombed the Al Aqsa Mosque

On August 21, 1969, a messianic Christian named Denis Michael Rohan set a fire on the pulpit of the Al Aqsa Mosque. He was declared insane by an Israeli court and was held in a mental hospital until 1974 when he was transferred to another facility in his native Australia.

Since then, across the board, Palestinian Arabs have claimed that Rohan was Jewish.

One can perhaps understand the terrorist organization Popular Resistance Committees saying that the arson was done by "sons of apes and pigs." Many other newspapers are also claiming Rohan was Jewish, as they do every year.

But PLO mouthpiece and official news agency of the Palestinian Authority has also said year after year that Rohan was a "Jewish extremist." And this year is no exception.

Which pretty much tells you all you need to know about how much Israel can trust any agreement with the PLO.
